Hua Mi was talking to Huo Jing about the group of survivors that had been left behind at Xiang City Base when a mber of the Garrison hurried over, standing behind Hua Mi.

He gave Hua Mi a standard Garrison salute and said,

"Sister Hua, this woman has confessed; she definitely belongs to a gang."

"There’s a sizeable number of them among the survivors left stranded to the north of Xiang City Base."

"According to the woman, there are probably several hundred of them."

"The woman doesn’t know the exact list of nas, but she told us that this group of people has a lot of grievances against our Xiang City Base, especially against you, Sister Hua."

"It’s likely that they’ve never been inside Xiang City Base before, only having heard that it’s a place with ample supplies and energy."

"Yet, they’ve never considered what it would be like to enter Xiang City Base and discover how truly excellent it is."

"The better they perceive the base to be, the more they feel that closing off the Base, not allowing it to open up to outsiders, constitutes a significant and cruel loss to those suffering survivors out there."

"We are all human; why should so people be able to live inside Xiang City Base?"

"And why should others have to suffer outside of it?"

The Garrison soldier told Hua Mi with great care:

"The woman who attacked your brothers and sisters, her husband, mother-in-law, and children are all outside the Cloud Mist City Wall."

"When Commander Gong Yi was building the Cloud Mist City Wall, the woman’s husband, mother-in-law, and children were not with her."

"So they ended up being separated."

"Getting the woman to talk hardly took any effort."

"The woman’s ntal state seems to be slightly off."

"With just a little provocation of her emotions, she spilled everything to the Garrison like pouring beans out of a bamboo tube."

"Why she did what she did, and who are the people helping her with these deeds."

"While venting her emotions, the woman also shared with the Garrison a great deal of her inner turmoil."

"Because the Cloud Mist City Wall was erected instantaneously, it wasn’t built up over a long period; it’s a manifestation of Gong Yi’s spiritual power turned into a wall."

"Therefore, at that ti, she and her family did not have the chance to react."

"She was swept into the wall when she approached Xiang City Base, while her family, standing far away, was naturally left outside of the Base."

"Like this woman, there are said to be quite a few survivors who were forced to separate from their families and excluded from the inside."

"And so this group of survivors, now living in tents to the north of Xiang City Base, hold a lot of resentnt towards Hua Mi."

"They believe that if it weren’t for Hua Mi sealing off Xiang City Base, their relatives and friends could have entered such a good place today."

"All the people they care about, all the people they love, would have been happy."

"And it is Hua Mi, who closed Xiang City Base, who is the culprit blocking their family reunions and obstructing their happiness."

"How can you bla Miss Hua for this?"

Huo Jing, frowning, looked at the mber of the Garrison who had co to report the results of the investigation and asked:

"From the very beginning, we’ve said there are dangers outside Xiang City Base, and that’s why we had to close it off."

"Many people have witnessed what happened inside Xiang City Base during that ti, yet now they turn around and bla Sister Hua for closing the Base."

"Do they even have any sense of reason?"

Hearing such things would only make Huo Jing feel indignant on behalf of Hua Mi.

Clearly, if it were not for Hua Mi, the entire Xiang City Base would not have been established.

Yet so people are completely blind to this.

They only think that it’s Hua Mi who caused Xiang City Base to be closed.

The Garrison mber opened his mouth, glanced at Hua Mi, but said nothing.

There were so things he didn’t dare say.

In fact, when the woman was venting her emotions, she was frantically shouting, and what she ant was to bla Hua Mi for why she had to give birth.

If Hua Mi hadn’t had a child, Chen Hu and Qu Shiheng would not have seized the opportunity to invade, and if Chen Hu and Qu Shiheng hadn’t taken that opportunity, Xiang City Base would not have suffered such a severe blow.

Leading to its current state of self-enclosure.

And this type of grievance expressed by the woman actually represents a mindset that is not uncommon throughout Xiang City Base.

Whenever it cos up, people say, so it’s the apocalypse, why do won still need to have children?
