Chapter 379: 373 must live on well with the child_2

He said to the large group of survivors,

“I’ll put it to you straight, if you leave E City, you’re dead, believe it or not?”

“If you have the guts, just try it. I’m not saying much, but I do have the ability to kill you.”

With that, he took the two newly acquired bottles of [Energy Water Drop] and went to report his achievents to Qu Shiheng.

Qu Shiheng kept one bottle for himself and sent the other to Chen Hu.

With a somber face, Chen Hu said to Qu Shiheng,

“Push those labor forces in E City to get the city walls up quickly. A large horde of zombies is moving south.”

He had already begun to take action.

A few days later, in the infirmary of Xiang City, Hua Mi, heavily pregnant, received a call from Guo Se in D City.

As of now, the only teleportation out of Xiang City Base is towards D City.

After Xiang City Base was surrounded, the nearby city of D City was also unknown in its current state.

Hua Mi picked up the call from Guo Se, who sounded quite relaxed.

She said to Hua Mi,

“Your Xiang City Base has attracted zombies from several nearby cities, including those from D City. As a result, the pressure here has lessened significantly.”

“I’m specifically calling to ask how you’ve been lately. I heard you were hospitalized. Is Xiang City Base still holding up?”

D City now only had Guo Se and a few other survivors.

Because it was located at the very top of D City and surrounded by electric fences.

Any zombie that got electrocuted would tumble into the abyss, so the safe zone where Guo Se was beca an easily defendable stronghold.

Moreover, since Xiang City Base was so lively, the zombies from D City were heading there.

Guo Se, being alone in D City, actually found herself more at ease.

Hearing that Guo Se was doing well, Hua Mi chuckled:

“What’s the point of being alone in D City? Why don’t you co to Xiang City Base and fight zombies?”

Given the length of ti, Guo Se, who had faced the city’s zombies alone, would surely have honed her skills.

If Guo Se were to co and slay zombies at Xiang City Base, it would add another capable fighter to their ranks.

Guo Se also laughed, her tone easy and carefree,

“No need. I’m doing well here at the base, so I’ll pass on joining that commotion.”

After so many events, Guo Se had established a sowhat peculiar comfort zone within her heart.

She felt that leaving D City would be like leaving her own sanctuary.

Just the thought of leaving made her feel decidedly uncomfortable.

Guo Se found D City to be very good, and sotis it wasn’t just her there; so brave souls would fly into D City to kill zombies.

In her spare ti, Guo Se could also cozy up in her RV to binge-watch TV series or enjoy so music.

The RV was sothing she had asked of Hua Mi.

Hua Mi had said that as long as Guo Se was in D City, all her material needs would be t.

Why would Guo Se leave D City to struggle outside when she could have whatever she wanted within it?

Guo Se was sitting on top of the RV, chatting idly with Hua Mi on the phone.

Suddenly, she saw a huge wave of black flood towards the northern side of the safe zone.

Guo Se was so stunned, she montarily forgot to speak to Hua Mi on the phone.

Until Hua Mi called out a few tis on the line.

Guo Se snapped back to reality and with a trembling voice, told Hua Mi,

“An imnse wave of zombies, like a tide, is pouring into D City.”

“What… Ah Mi, what’s going on?”

The zombie pressure in D City had been very low, but now the streets were crowded with them once again.

Hua Mi in the infirmary slightly furrowed her brow, disbelief mixing with her alarm as she asked Guo Se,

“What do you an? Repeat that.”

So Guo Se told Hua Mi once more about the massive influx of zombies appearing on the north side of D City.

Because the direction of D City was to the north of Xiang City.

For a mont, Hua Mi was stunned, she pulled out her own map of the city’s defenses, and as she looked at the empty northern city wall, panic flickered in her heart for an instant.

It wasn’t much, but the walls of Xiang City Base were only constructed on the south and east sides; they hadn’t gotten to the north and west sides yet…

The south and east were chosen first primarily because the ice in the north hadn’t lted.

So Hua Mi thought that there was no need to worry about the north in the short term.

Thus, after the east wall was finished, she dispatched her people to work on the west.

According to Hua Mi’s understanding of the Zombie Tide, the south should have the most zombies.
