"What’s so funny?" Chongxu Taoist furrowed his brows.
"Thinking of sothing delightful naturally makes laugh." Li Yi’s smile suddenly vanished, and then he extended a single finger, upon which an extrely radiant brilliance began to coalesce.
Chongxu Taoist sensed the mana fluctuations within it and his expression shifted slightly: "Where did you learn such an unorthodox technique?"
"Unorthodox technique? If you’re ignorant, don’t speak nonsense. This is an authentic Daoist skill." Li Yi clearly had no intention of continuing the discussion. As mana converged, he unhesitatingly thrust his finger toward Chongxu Taoist.
An arc of brilliance arrived in an instant—not sharp, but capable of severing everything and tearing apart all creation.
This was a top-tier Daoist skill passed down by the Heavenly Dao Sect: Dividing River into Land.
"Tricks of a petty spirit."
Chongxu Taoist scoffed, his deanor calm, but his heart already churned with waves. If this spell struck him, even his Nascent Soul would perish.
It was inconceivable that this had been unleashed by a re Spirit Power Realm evolver. From where had this fellow gained such vast spiritual power?
Almost simultaneously, he resolutely revealed his treasure.
A brilliant light erupted from Chongxu Taoist’s body, and amidst the pure radiance, a massive, ancient bell appeared. Golden runes danced upon its surface, indestructible, shielding him from the attack.
This was a Low Grade Treasure: the Heavenly Elent Bell.
"Dong!"
The top-tier Daoist skill struck the Heavenly Elent Bell. A deafening toll rang out, and its trendous residual force spread widely. In that instant, Chongxu Taoist’s pupils contracted sharply, for he saw with horror that a savage crack had been torn into the radiance of his treasure, though it ultimately managed to block the attack.
Yet the power behind this strike truly shook him to the core.
If he’d been overconfident earlier and tried to resist using just his mana, his body would likely have been cleaved in two by now.
"Too close."
At this mont, Chongxu Taoist felt incomparable gratitude that he had prepared ahead of ti and borrowed this treasure from the Divinity Transformation Elders of his sect.
"This demon has beco a threat! With Nascent Soul-level strength, it’s a good thing his cultivation hasn’t advanced further. If he crossed into the Nascent Soul Realm, no one at that level would stand a chance against him. Such a nace must be eradicated today." Awakened by the shocking blow, he stopped holding back entirely.
Infusing the Heavenly Elent Bell with his mana, he sent it soaring into the sky to hover above his head.
In the next mont,
the Heavenly Elent Bell rang out with boundless grandeur, shaking the entire Magic Battle Platform. Even the formation encasing the platform rippled, as if on the verge of disintegration.
Those standing upon the Magic Battle Platform had nowhere to escape. All were within the scope of the bell’s attack.
"Well played, Chongxu Taoist! Careful as ever. Directly unleashing the Low Grade Treasure Heavenly Elent Bell for indiscriminate assault—to crush Li Yi with no way to dodge. Even if he brings out Taixian Weng’s Glazed Golden Light Mirror it would be useless, for that artifact is offensive in nature and cannot shield him completely."
A Nascent Soul cultivator observing the scene lit up with excitent, confident of the outco.
In true life-and-death duels, affluent cultivators relied on their treasures to kill, unwilling to expend spiritual power on spells. After all, treasure weapons pack far more punch than re spells.
But standing nearby, Nascent Soul cultivators Yuan Ye and Li Chengyu furrowed their brows.
Because, under the Heavenly Elent Bell’s assault, Li Yi did not dodge, nor did he seem concerned.
"I’m well aware of your cultivation tricks. You avoid casting spells, relying instead on treasures to crush opponents directly? How laughably naïve. Do you think you’re the only one with treasures?" Now, Li Yi lifted his palm to reveal a dazzling seal—its surface glead with mysterious yellow patterns and talismans.
This was the Xuanhuang Seal, a legacy artifact of the Heavenly Dao Sect’s Seven Immortals lineage.
After several days of cosmic energy nurturing, this artifact had regained so of its forr glory. While far from its peak, Li Yi was confident it could counter a Low Grade Treasure without issue.
The Xuanhuang Seal had already been refined by Li Yi’s Primordial Spirit, bonding it to him.
With talismans flickering upon its surface, the Xuanhuang Seal instantly enveloped Li Yi in a radiant golden-yellow light. The terrifying reverberations from the bell echoed around him but failed to harm him. Not even a trace of the golden-yellow radiance faltered.
"What treasure is that?" Chongxu Taoist froze in astonishnt, his expression darkening.
The ability to withstand a Low Grade Treasure ant it was, at minimum, a Mid Grade Treasure.
Where had this Li Yi stumbled upon such extraordinary good fortune?
No wonder he dared duel ; his confidence wasn’t in Taixian Weng’s Glazed Golden Light Mirror—it was in this Xuanhuang Seal.
Damn it.
Chongxu Taoist could no longer compose himself. In a life-and-death duel, only the demise of one party could settle the matter. With a fierce cry, a flying sword shot upwards.
"With Spirit Power Realm cultivation, you cannot possibly wield that treasure to its full potential. I will cut you down!"
He directed his flying sword straight toward Li Yi.
This sword was far from ordinary; its edges glead brilliantly, and the mont its sword energy appeared, it cleaved a small crack into the Magic Battle Platform.
Clearly, this flying sword was also a Low Grade Treasure, crafted purely for slaughter.
"You people never change—it’s always the sa contest of wealth, leveraging your reserves. The people of Xuanxian World truly have predictable tempers. Enough; I’m done playing gas. Ti to send you off." Li Yi couldn’t help but feel bored by this, and with a flick of his wrist, the Xuanhuang Seal shot out, heralding its true divine might.
The seal erupted with limitless radiance, as talismans descended from the heavens—each resembling massive celestial gates spanning the void, suppressing all directions and blocking every escape route.
Chongxu Taoist’s flying sword streaked toward him at high speed, but when the Xuanhuang Seal’s boundless light burst forth, he scread in agony as his body was abruptly flung from midair onto the Magic Battle Platform. His form was pinned down by an imnse force, utterly immobilized.
The sword in his hand trembled, yearning to surge upward, but it could not shift an inch from the ground.
Even the Heavenly Elent Bell overhead crashed to the earth with a thunderous boom.
"Unfair!" Chongxu Taoist roared in fury, his face twisted with rage.
Now he understood—this was no re Mid Grade Treasure. It was unmistakably a High Grade Treasure; otherwise, it could never have so utterly suppressed him, a Nascent Soul cultivator.
"Fair?"
Li Yi sneered, striding forward, unaffected by the seal’s overwhelming radiance: "You brought out two treasures and still have the audacity to cry for fairness? Competing with treasures and losing it all—now you want pity? Where in the world is such fairness?"
Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks, extending a finger as shining brilliance once again gathered.
Chongxu Taoist’s pupils contracted sharply.
If he suffered another strike like this, death was certain.
His instinct urged him to retaliate, but talismans hovering above him lood like mountain peaks, rendering him utterly incapable of movent. Even his Nascent Soul, ready to escape, lay locked within his Dantian, unmoving.
What sort of treasure is this?
How is this possible?
"Dividing River into Land." Li Yi’s response was succinct—he thrust his finger forward, unleashing a terrifying strike capable of splitting rivers and severing seas.
"No!" Chongxu Taoist scread in panic, shaken by the looming grasp of death.
Yet at the critical mont,
suddenly, the Magic Battle Platform trembled.
The formation was abruptly dispelled, and Chongxu Taoist’s body swiftly sank into the platform itself, as though enveloped by it. In but a mont, he vanished without a trace.
Li Yi’s Dividing River into Land attack struck empty air, landing upon the Magic Battle Platform but failing to kill its target.
Li Yi’s expression darkened instantly upon seeing this.
The only one capable of interfering under such circumstances was the master of the Magic Battle Platform—Taixian Weng, a Divinity Transformation powerhouse.
"Young friend, why not show rcy where rcy is due? Relying on your treasure, you narrowly defeated Chongxu Taoist. Why pursue him to the bitter end?" Suddenly, a kindly old voice rang out.
A white-haired Daoist, smiling warmly, appeared floating nearby in the sky, his gaze peaceful.
