His spear technique was impressive; he hit a Spider-man crawling rapidly on the street with a single shot.

The imnse power instantly pierced through the monster’s body, killing it on the spot.

"You all assist from the periphery; I’m going inside to check," Master Pete said at this mont. Carrying a sniper rifle on his back, he moved quickly and charged toward the depths of the old town district.

Being a Spiritual Perception Master, he was confident he could protect himself. He now wanted to see what exactly was happening inside, and if possible, take the opportunity to kill that monster.

Just as Master Pete had left,

on the street nearby, a car ca speeding along.

"It’s not a fleeing survivor, it’s... Li Yi?" Zhang Zhixiong took a glance and couldn’t help but pause.

"Why is he alone? What about Zheng Gong?" Liu Yue asked, "Could it be that the operation failed, and they also suffered heavy losses?"

"Not clear, but driving so fast suggests there’s an ergency. Forget it, let’s just focus on our task—to clear out these Spider-n near the district. As for the larger female one, leave it to Master Pete and Gu ngping," Zhang Zhixiong said.

He indeed wanted to get involved, but was powerless to help.

Everyone agreed and promptly arranged their forces to start taking action.

However, they soon realized that these Spider Monsters weren’t spreading out or attacking them but were all converging in the direction of the commotion.

"The monsters are going to support; try to intercept and kill as many as possible," Zhang Zhixiong shouted.

However, with limited manpower, they couldn’t kill all the Spider Monsters rushing to the scene and let quite a few slip through.

anwhile, the sound of a speeding car rose again.

Li Yi, who had driven away just before, had now turned around and ca speeding back.

"Li Yi, what are you up to? Going back and forth like this," Liu Yue shouted, "Do you need help?"

Even if he didn’t understand, he realized that Li Yi hadn’t been running away but must have left to do sothing else; otherwise, he wouldn’t have driven headlong toward the source of the commotion.

But Li Yi didn’t respond to him.

As he drove, Li Yi was using the Guiding Skill; he couldn’t afford to be distracted. Otherwise, if the Guiding Skill was interrupted, he would be unable to hold onto his Hanging Man Spear.

Very soon,

Li Yi drove to the closest spot near the battle.

At this mont, Gu ngping had already run out of breath and taken cover inside a building; he dared not show his face again, as it would be dangerous if the Spider Mother located him.

Yet the creature nad Alice didn’t give up and let out bursts of strange calls while continuously searching the surroundings.

At this mont, the vicinity was swarming with Spider-n. They were gathering together, densely covering the area and continuously entering and exiting nearby buildings as if searching for the trail of their prey.

"Sister Lin, I’m back," Li Yi said over the walkie-talkie at that mont.

"I can see your car. What’s your plan?" Lin Yue asked.

Li Yi said, "Have Zheng Gong or Yuan Mingjin take another shot, blow the monster’s head off again to provoke it. Only then can I get close to it; otherwise, I’ll be targeted as soon as I show myself."

"After the shot, I’ll draw its attention; that way, your chances of success will be higher," Lin Yue imdiately said.

"Alright, then you be careful, Sister Lin," Li Yi finished and then spoke into the walkie-talkie again, "Zheng Gong, Yuan Mingjin, find an opportunity to take a shot. Once you fire, I’ll move out."

"Understood."

"Understood."

Two acknowledgnts ca over the walkie-talkie.

A mont later,

Zheng Gong seized the first opportunity and locked onto the massive Spider Mother crawling on a building’s wall.

Without any hesitation, he took the shot.

With the sound of gunfire, the Spider Mother was unable to dodge in ti and was hit in the head again.

This severe blow briefly halted the creature, but then, as before, the gaping hole began to heal. In just monts, the wound made by the sniper rifle was almost fully restored.

Alice roared again.

Though she couldn’t be killed, the pain of having her head shattered by a sniper rifle was undeniably real. She beca enraged again and moved rapidly toward Zheng Gong’s position, giving up on searching for and pursuing Gu ngping.

"So, Li Yi and the others finally took the shot... nearly got finished off there."

From the window of the building, Gu ngping glanced outside, saw the creature leaving, and heaved a sigh of relief, then sat down sowhat exhausted.

Yet shortly afterward, his gaze shifted, and he saw a figure rapidly climbing to the top of the building, lying in wait in the creature’s path.

"Is that... Li Yi? What’s he trying to do, hunt down this creature? How can a cultivator at the inspiration realm have such courage? Does he not know this creature can’t even be killed by a sniper rifle? Wait, what’s that in his hand?"

Gu ngping’s eyes narrowed focussing his vision, he clearly saw a transparent-looking bronze spear in Li Yi’s hand.

That weapon didn’t seem designed for the living; rather, it resembled the armant of ghost soldiers from Ghost Street.

Could it be that Li Yi had gone to Ghost Street to rob ghost soldiers?

Otherwise, how could he possess such a weapon?

Wait, hold on.

Gu ngping’s expression changed abruptly; sothing occurred to him: "Could it be that Li Yi is planning to strike at the creature’s soul?"
