As a Yin God who had lived for quite a while and resided in Ghost Street for several hundred years, ng Changfeng had seen much and encountered all sorts of bizarre events. He had even t more than one Cross Border figure like Li Yi. However, the woman, no, more precisely, the female ghost in front of him made this Yin God, who had been alive for five hundred years, feel a chill in his bones.

"What exactly are you, there are no ghosts like you on Ghost Street," ng Changfeng’s darkened face showed a grave expression as he stared intently at the woman behind Li Yi.

He was certain that this woman had not appeared on Ghost Street just a mont ago. She had popped up suddenly at an inattentive instant; no one noticed her, no one sensed her presence.

ng Changfeng tried to communicate, but the eerie woman simply stood motionless, not saying a word. Her hollow, numb eyes remained fixed on him, and the odd smile on her lips now seed to exude an indescribable sense of danger, and right then, it began to rain in the skies above Ghost Street.

No.

It wasn’t rain.

What dripped from the sky were droplets of thick, coagulating blood, which quickly stained the surrounding buildings red, covered the ground, and even coated all of the Vengeful Ghosts and fierce ghosts on Ghost Street, as well as the ghost soldiers who were sared with large amounts of blood.

But why would there be a rain of blood in the skies of Ghost Street?

Nothing like this had happened in hundreds of years, and it simply defied all reason.

ng Changfeng couldn’t help but look up, but he could discern no secret behind it. The blood rain seed to have ford out of thin air, completely beyond his comprehension, but he understood that the root of it all stemd from that woman, the eerie woman who made even a five-hundred-year-old Yin God like himself shudder.

"Kill her."

As a Yin God, ng Changfeng was unwilling to let such strange occurrences continue. He wanted to break the cycle, to stop everything and take the initiative to eliminate the uncanny woman first.

At his command, the ghost soldiers imdiately wielded their Hanging Man Spears and Ghost Head Big Sabers, and ferociously charged at the eerie woman.

Ghostly flas ignited on the Hanging Man Spears, and the ghost head on the big sabers emitted a green glow.

Ten ghost soldiers attacked; they ignored the struggling and agonizing Li Yi, intent on cutting down this greater threat.

It was just an encounter.

The woman standing there, with an odd smile on her face, was promptly pierced by several spears, and then the ghostly flas on the spears roared, igniting her body. When the Ghost Head Big Saber chopped down, it even split the woman’s head in two, and other strikes severed her arms and torso.

Her intact body was now fragnted.

"Is it over?" Yin God ng Changfeng furrowed his brows.

The ghostly flas on those spears could scorch a Yin God. Even he would have suffered had he touched it. Now, with the foe sustaining such heavy injuries, it would be surprising if she could still live.

However, that severed head of the woman still wore a creeping smile, seemingly unaffected by being ignited by the ghostly flas. Her body remained intact, not disintegrating into an ethereal vapor like other fierce ghosts when burnt by the ghostly flas. What was more unsettling was that the blood rain above continued, pitter-pattering as it further dyed the entire Ghost Street red.

The stench in the air was no longer simply bloody; it was a thick, rotten sll.

So undefinable sense of crisis continued to intensify.

"This..." Faced with this situation, Yin God ng Changfeng could no longer comprehend what was happening. Had the opponent still not been completely destroyed despite such damage?

"Ah~!"

The painful howls of Li Yi echoed; he clutched his head as mories in his mind blurred and then sharpened, but as ti passed, individual willpower ultimately could not withstand so incomprehensible eerie force, and part of his mory vanished completely, irretrievable. As the mories disappeared, so too did his agony, fading swiftly.

Everything seed to be returning to square one. He rembered leaving Sanyang City and arriving at Ghost Street... seemingly encountering danger, eting a very close acquaintance—but wait, he only faced danger, encountering no acquaintance. As for what the danger was, he seed not to rember, but it didn’t matter.

He still had to Cross Border and return ho, to continue his Cultivation.

As Li Yi thought this, his suffering began to dissipate, and afterward, his consciousness gradually returned.

And then, all the abnormalities vanished.

He suddenly opened his eyes.

At this mont, he found himself atop Ghost Street, with emptiness all around, no Vengeful Ghosts, no Yin God ng Changfeng, not even any ghost soldiers. The entire Ghost Street seed desolate, looking up and down the street; only Li Yi was present, not a single ghost in sight, and he didn’t understand why it had suddenly beco like this.

"There’s an anomaly on Ghost Street. I can’t stay here; I need to leave quickly."

Li Yi picked up the backpack from the ground again, took out a Mud Horse, and then dripped fresh blood onto it.

Nourished by the blood, the Mud Horse imdiately exhibited its miraculous effects. Along with a gust of black Yin wind ca the neighing of a wild horse, as the Mud Horse transford into a steed.

"Go, take away from Ghost Street, back to the danger zone." Li Yi mounted the horse, taking the items he had brought from Sanyang City with him, and then rode fiercely away.
