"Senior Brother, when Master asked to co over, he entrusted with a task,"
Once Li Yi was riding his horse down a less crowded street, Rong Niang began to whisper softly from the horseback.
"What matter?" Li Yi inquired.
Rong Niang hesitated slightly but still bit her lip and said softly, "Master wants to move in and live with Senior Brother. He said that since Senior Brother is new here and unfamiliar with everything in Sanyang City, soone needs to take care of you. Initially, Master intended to have the little junior sister co over, but since she is too young and not ticulous enough, he decided that I should co. Although Senior Brother can hire outsiders, they are ultimately not as trustworthy as our own people. Moreover, Senior Brother needs to focus on cultivating your heart, so it is necessary to have soone to manage everything for you."
"However, this is Master’s idea. I don’t know what Senior Brother thinks,"
Afterwards, she slightly raised her head, looking at Li Yi with a touch of anticipation.
Li Yi chuckled, "Master is really good to , even worrying about my daily life. But doing this, wouldn’t it delay you, Rong Niang? You are a Martial Artist in Marrow Training. After recuperating and with so big dicine to replenish your Qi-Blood, it’s almost certain that you will breakthrough to Blood Training. Who knows, you might even have the opportunity to beco a Qi Cultivation Expert. If you spend your ti on these matters, it would be such a loss."
"And the lifespans of people in the Four Seas and Eight Continents are short, only about fifty years or so. How can one live long without becoming a Qi Cultivation Expert?"
After thinking for a mont, Rong Niang said, "If Senior Brother doesn’t mind, I can cultivate together with you. Your Martial Arts Cultivation is at Bone Training, and the next step is Marrow Training. I have experience with that, and I can help Senior Brother with martial practice... Besides, Master taught the essentials of Blood Training, so this will make your cultivation much easier, and I won’t fall behind in cultivation."
"Now that you ntion it, it does make sense," Li Yi pondered for a mont before continuing, "However, speaking of cultivation, it reminds of another matter."
He actually wanted to try whether Martial Artists in this world could enter ditation and beco Evolvers.
Although the Cosmic Energy in this world is relatively sparse compared to Earth and is not polluted, there is still the possibility of cultivation. What is more important is that the Earth’s Cultivation thod can prolong life and also enhance physical potential, aiding in martial breakthroughs.
"What matter did Senior Brother think of?" Rong Niang asked curiously.
Li Yi replied with a smile, "It’s about the Cultivation thod, but we can talk about that later. It’s not urgent. Let’s handle Master’s affairs first so that I can be at ease doing my own things."
"Then Senior Brother, what do you think about the proposal I just made?" Rong Niang asked once again.
Li Yi readily agreed, "Of course there’s no problem. From now on, Rong Niang, you can co to to assist in cultivation, and by the way, I have so matters I need your help to verify."
"That’s great." Rong Niang was suddenly overjoyed in her heart.
Li Yi, however, did not think too much about it. Riding the horse with Rong Niang, he soon returned to the previously visited Jin Family Martial Arts Hall,
Though last ti Li Yi had smashed the gates of the Jin Family Martial Arts Hall with one punch, in the last few days, a new gate had already been installed, and the old signboard from Zhao’s Martial Arts Hall had been replaced. The Martial Arts Hall was bustling with people coming and going, showing signs of thriving prosperity.
"It’s Senior Brother and Rong Niang, they’re back."
"Senior Brother is back, quick, open the gate, let Senior Brother in."
"Greetings, Senior Brother."
Just at the entrance, several watchful disciples beca excited, bowing respectfully and greeting Li Yi,
These disciples were strangers to Li Yi, whom he had not t before, but they recognized him, and their eyes were filled with admiration and awe when they saw him.
It is important to note that this Senior Brother of theirs had killed three Qi Cultivation Experts in one day and even forced the City Lord to stay indoors with a single punch, singlehandedly taking over Sanyang City.
Such a figure was a living legend, and his tale would be spoken of for decades to co.
Li Yi nodded and greeted, "Hard work, Junior Brothers."
Rong Niang’s face turned slightly red, and she lowered her head quietly, as she felt uncomfortable with the situation. She was now sharing a horse with Li Yi; although they were life-and-death Senior and Junior Fellow Disciples, the difference between n and won was distinct, and it was still not proper to be seen by others.
As soon as Li Yi dismounted the horse, a disciple imdiately ca over to take it away. He thanked him and then entered the Martial Arts Hall with Rong Niang,
However, no sooner had they left than the disciples at the door began to talk.
"Did you see that? Sister Rong Niang seems to have a special relationship with Senior Brother; they arrived on the sa horse," ntioned one disciple.
"Are you stating the obvious? Sister Rong Niang is gentle and generous, Senior Brother is a hero among n; surely it’s natural for them to be together. Besides, Senior Brother needs soone to take care of his daily life. It’s a pity my little sister got married too early; otherwise, I’d have her serve as a maid for Senior Brother. How great would that be."
"Enough, stop your chattering. Be alert; today Master is inside concocting dicine. Be wary of any disturbance,"
Suddenly, a Blood Training Martial Artist ca over and scolded them. His na was Yuan Tianfei and he held a high position in Zhao’s Martial Arts Hall. Thanks to Li Yi’s arrival, he survived from the dungeon of the Jin Family after the ordeal and, having recovered sowhat over the past few days, was able to move around.
Chastised by Yuan Tianfei, everyone imdiately fell silent.
Rong Niang, leading Li Yi toward the back courtyard of the Martial Arts Hall, passed nurous disciples patrolling and standing guard. They all imdiately stopped and respectfully called out "Senior Brother" upon seeing Li Yi.
Clearly, although Li Yi was new, his prestige at Zhao’s Martial Arts Hall was already very high, even perhaps surpassing Master Zhao Ge.
When they reached the back courtyard, they saw a bronze Pill Furnace at its center. The furnace roared with fierce flas, burning so kind of wood that emitted a strange fragrance. Beside the Pill Furnace stood a Pharmacist nearly sixty years of age, who was carefully monitoring the situation inside the furnace and occasionally adding herbs.
"This Resurrection Pill is a rare item and difficult to refine. Usually, few people attempt it, as injuries to the Divine Soul are rare. But Master Zhao can rest assured, this is the best Pharmacist from Treasure Pavilion. I had him practice three tis before starting the actual work; there will be no mistakes,"
Shen Shi of Treasure Pavilion was also present, and he spoke with full confidence.
"Let’s hope everything goes smoothly,"
Zhao Ge stood with his hands behind his back, unwavering as he stared at the flickering flas, his expression solemn.
There was only one Coffin Ganoderma, but it was quite substantial, enough for three attempts at refining the Resurrection Pill. Having secured Sanyang City, he was not short of other dicinal ingredients. As long as Zhao Ge wasn’t extraordinarily unlucky, the Resurrection Pills could certainly be made.
If all three attempts failed, then Zhao Ge would have no choice but to accept his fate.
"Dad, look, Brother Yi and Rong Niang are here."
Zhao Qian’s eyes lit up at that mont. She hurriedly tugged at her father’s sleeve before running excitedly towards Li Yi’s direction: "Brother Yi, you’re here."
Li Yi smiled and nodded, then spread his hands as he said, "Little junior sister, calling so affectionately won’t help, I’ve co empty-handed and haven’t brought you any gifts."
Zhao Qian smiled sweetly, "Having Brother Yi here is the best gift. I’m not a child who needs presents."
"Master," Li Yi then greeted with a respectful bow of his fists.
"ng De, you’re here. We’re all family, there’s no need for such formalities,"
It was only upon seeing them that Zhao Ge’s solemn face broke into a smile, then he added, "I hope you’ve been comfortable in Sanyang City these past few days. I took the liberty of having Rong Niang look after you without prior notice, don’t bla your master for not informing you."
"How could I? Master is kind-hearted, and I’m well aware of that. I just fear I might have disrupted your affairs here, after all, Rong Niang handles things ticulously and is indispensable to the reconstruction of the martial arts hall," said Li Yi.
Zhao Ge shook his head with a laugh, "What could possibly go wrong with the martial arts hall? Even if there were issues, this old man could handle it. Make sure you arrange a place for your junior sister to stay; she’s been restless these past few days wanting to find you. ng De, if you have ti, look after her for . She may be a bit wild, but she still listens to you."
"Daddy..."
With that said, Zhao Qian’s face turned red, but a look of anticipation showed, her eyes occasionally stealing glances at Li Yi.
"It’s no trouble at all, I was actually thinking about finding a few trustworthy people to guide their cultivation and see if it yields any results," Li Yi replied.
Zhao Ge imdiately gestured with a wave of his hand to stop, "Such matters should be discussed in private, not in public lest it invites trouble."
Others might not know, but he understood what Li Yi ant by guiding them in cultivation.
In terms of Martial Arts Realm, both Rong Niang and Zhao Qian had reached the Marrow Training stage, so Li Yi obviously couldn’t teach them anything in that regard. The only guidance he could offer was a Cultivation thod not from the Four Seas and Eight Continents.
This Cultivation thod might bring fortune or misfortune; Zhao Ge was determined to keep it contained to Zhao Qian and Rong Niang, not allowing them to pass it on. They could either take it to their graves or follow Li Yi to his world later on.
Either way, it must not erge within the Four Seas and Eight Continents.
"Master has a point, I’ll bear that in mind," Li Yi nodded earnestly.
While Earth allows various Cultivation thods to coexist, in the Four Seas and Eight Continents, such teachings could be considered heretical, potentially bringing great trouble.
However, just as the two were conversing,
Bang!
A sudden explosion echoed.
The Pill Furnace, which had been functioning normally until now, suddenly released a loud noise, its lid blown off.
Did the furnace explode?
The old Pharmacist’s face turned pale, disbelief evident in his eyes.
This, this is impossible.
After several rehearsals, there was no way an explosion could occur.
Not just him, everyone else was stunned as well.
Seeing the scattered remnants of the big dicine strewn all over the ground, everyone knew that this first attempt at dicine refinent had failed.
"Who?"
Li Yi’s eyes shone brightly; he noticed a sneaky figure that had sohow hidden inside the Pill Furnace, unafraid of the fierce fire. He let out a thunderous shout that made everyone’s ears ring, then he imdiately sprang into action.
The next mont, however, when he saw the face of the small figure inside the furnace turning towards him, his eyes slightly narrowed.
This small figure was not human... it was a ghost.
It looked as insubstantial and unreal as the ghosts he had encountered in the woods before.
Yet, this little ghost appeared much more solid, almost as if made of flesh and blood.
As Li Yi approached, he saw streams of invisible white vapor, like smoke, continuously entering the small person’s nostrils and mouth. This white vapor, upon closer inspection, was comforting to the body and carried a strong scent of dicinal herbs – it was the Great dicine Essence from the Pill Furnace.
Was this Little Ghost actually stealing the dicine?
