Li Yi, amidst Cloud Riding, had concealed himself at this mont. Ordinary people couldn’t see him at all, and within just a few seconds, he saw a bustling city appear in his view.
He took out his phone to check the map and confird that what lay ahead was Tianchang City.
After a brief observation, Li Yi could confirm that this city was still very normal, with no supernatural events occurring, and the number of people living here was even greater than in Dazhuang City, which ant this place was safe for a considerable period.
If it wasn’t safe, the residents would have moved out long ago.
He found a spot and imdiately landed on a street in Da Chang City.
Though there were many pedestrians on the street, no one noticed Li Yi’s sudden appearance. Just like that, he naturally blended into this city.
Li Yi intended to wander around here and observe the city to get a sense of the situation.
But after walking half a circle, he realized that the city seed to have no person in charge. He didn’t sense anything unusual, aning he couldn’t utilize the line of the person in charge to inquire about Yang Jian’s information.
"Could it be that I have to use the Dream Implantation Technique?" Li Yi mused silently.
A large-scale Dream Implantation Technique was sothing he could perform. He could inquire in dreams, and the people in the dream would unconsciously reveal real information.
"Forget it, if I use Transcendent powers on a large scale, I might be mistaken for supernatural powers, and that’s likely to attract unnecessary trouble."
Li Yi decided to find a law firm, use his wealth, and as long as he found soone related to Yang Jian, he could probably figure things out quickly.
However, just as he was passing in front of a building.
Suddenly, he saw a man about thirty years old being dragged out by a group of security guards.
The man was angrily shouting, "What a joke, I can’t get into my own company? Who’s this Mr. Wu, so nonsense that appeared out of nowhere? He doesn’t even know who your granddad is."
"Mr. Zhang, please don’t make a scene, alright? Although you do indeed hold shares in the Shangtong Building, the company has long been unrelated to you. Shareholders have withdrawn, assets liquidated, and debts restructured. Our company has been more than willing to take over. If you continue this, I’ll have no choice but to report this," said a man in his fifties, wearing a suit, looking impatient.
"Do you think you’re bullying your granddad just because he hasn’t read much? How could the company lose all that money? With so many fixed assets, your boss can easily acquire them? Let him co out. I want to see the acquisition contract. Yang Xiaohua is the lawyer, and I will have her review it. If any cent is missing, your granddad will destroy you, you dog," the man continued to shout.
"Keep him out of the company from now on, stop him from entering." Mr. Wu was unwilling to say more; he rely instructed the security guards before turning to leave.
"Mr. Wu, have the guts not to leave," shouted the man as he saw Mr. Wu about to go.
But Mr. Wu ignored him and quickly disappeared into the building while a dozen security guards blocked the entrance, preventing the man from rushing in.
"You can’t stop . I’ll co back, and when I do, you’ll regret it," the man said with indignation after struggling for a long ti before storming off.
Li Yi hadn’t intended to get involved, but the man’s last words made him stop.
Wei?
He suddenly had a sense of familiarity.
He didn’t know why, but this man seed a lot like Yang Wei. Could they be relatives?
After all, this was Tianchang City; it was indeed possible.
Thinking of this, Li Yi followed the man, trying to make contact.
Initially, he thought this angry man would do sothing impulsive after leaving. However, Li Yi saw him head towards an internet cafe, where a group of n around thirty were loitering idly at the entrance.
"Wei is here."
"Wei, where have you been? We’ve been waiting for you to treat us. Without you, we don’t even have the money to go online."
These loafers were so hard up that they were even sharing a single cigarette.
"Still thinking about going online? The company was just taken over by others, and your boss Wei is about to be unemployed," the man called Wei said angrily.
Hearing this, the loafers were taken aback and imdiately got angry: "There’s such a thing happening? Let’s go now and make trouble at the company. They can’t bully Wei."
"Exactly, as the saying goes, it’s proof of our loyalty over the years. We’ve eaten yours and used yours without remorse. Now that you’re in trouble, I’ll help regardless," one of the loafers said as they threw away their cigarette butts and eagerly prepared to seek justice with Wei.
So people even began to look around the cyber cafe for bricks and steel pipes.
"Wait a mont. Don’t be so impulsive. What age is it now? We need to use our brains, and your boss is known for being able to handle matters. It’s not ti for you yet. Calm down and let think of an idea first," Wei hurriedly stopped these impulsive cronies.
"Wei, don’t bear the burden alone. Tell us, and we’ll consider it together," one said. "We’ll go through fire for you."
"No more talking; just go online, go online," Wei didn’t explain further, pushing them into the internet cafe, saying, "Today’s the usual; my treat."
Soon, the group disappeared into the internet cafe.
Li Yi was initially planning to follow in and find an opportunity to approach the man called Wei. He was almost certain that this person had so connection with Yang Wei. That personality and the luck of his speech, Li Yi couldn’t find a second person like this across so many worlds.
Before he went in, however, the man called Wei unexpectedly returned alone.
The two of them ran into each other head-on.
At this mont, the man’s face was calm and serious, with a golden handgun in his hand that he tried to keep hidden behind him, but Li Yi still noticed it.
"Who are you, and why are you following ?" Wei asked, staring at Li Yi.
"Not bad intuition; you’re quite outstanding among ordinary people," Li Yi replied.
Wei smirked coldly: "Don’t be fooled by my appearance as just an unemployed middle-aged man. Behind the scenes, I’m the dual-gun master of Da Chang City. This little trick of yours can’t fool my eyes. I bet you’ve been staking out at the internet cafe door watching for several days. It seems my unreliable little cronies have exposed my information. You’re smart, with a keen intuition. You sniffed out the danger emanating from my body, so you haven’t dared to make a move, right?"
"Too bad you’re underestimating . Now you have no chance. If you know what’s good for you, walk away. Today, I can pretend nothing happened."
"..." Li Yi didn’t know what to say for a mont.
He felt like this person’s thought process was a bit abnormal, as if a full-fledged drama had played out inside his mind in those brief monts.
Li Yi didn’t leave but got straight to the point: "You are quite similar to soone I know. Have you heard of soone called Yang Jian?"
As soon as he heard the na.
Wei’s eyes imdiately narrowed, quickly putting away the gun and then swiftly stepping up to Li Yi, trying to pull him aside for a chat.
However, Li Yi’s figure was as unmovable as a building.
Wei felt the non-human strength, his body instantly stiffened, and then he whispered, "You’re from the supernatural circle?"
"The supernatural circle... maybe," Li Yi thought for a second and then said: "So it seems you know Yang Jian?"
"Who sent you?" Wei seriously scrutinized the person in front of him.
Li Yi said: "That’s not important, is it? Judging by your appearance, you’re either Yang Jian’s relative or a friend. I have so business with him. Could you conveniently disclose his whereabouts?"
"I don’t even know who you are. Why should I tell you?" Wei said, "But judging by your appearance, you don’t seem like an enemy. Let’s change locations to talk."
