The monster dodged the arrows as Neban shot out so more. The sixth and eighth ones landed in the thing's side and leg. But it kept going, not letting the arrows bother it.

As it was getting closer, Neban decided to get rid of the bow and arrow act and told Siren to turn back into a sword.

Once the monster was close as Neban had the sword in his hand, he sliced down, trying to cut one of the thing's legs off.

The monster quickly let a beam out, causing Siren to get pushed back. During the ti that Neban's hand flew back, the thing rushed into his stomach.

Neban grabbed onto the monster's body with Siren in his hand as he was getting pushed back until a car stopped them. Fortunately, the horns did not hurt Neban as they were curved back.

But the hit to his stomach did knock the air out of him for a minute.

Neban tried to pull the monster off, but the thing did not move as he could feel his stomach starting to grow warm. He knew another beam was coming.

Picking up the hand with Siren in it, Neban stabbed the monster in its back. The things roared, moving away as it still had Siren stuck in it.

The monster started to turn around while shaking, trying to get Siren off of its back. Neban took a small break, gripping his stomach as he leaned against the car.

'Drain it.' Neban told Siren.

'What do you think I am doing? Playing?' Siren replied as it started to take the monster's blood.

Neban did not respond as he straightened himself, ignoring the pain in his stomach as he started to walk towards the moving monster.

The monster did not pay him any mind as it was trying to get Siren from it. The thing could feel the blood from its body leaving. Even its movents were getting slower and slower by the second.

Neban used [Shadow Beam] on the monster's eyes, causing it to let out a cry. As the thing could not see anymore, the moves were becoming erratic. But, at the sa ti, sluggish due to the blood loss.

Waiting for the monster to get slower in its movents, Neban punched the thing with all his strength.

The monster hit the ground as Neban shook his hand. His knuckles were already showing bruises on them.

The thing was not moving as Neban kicked it to make sure the monster was dead. 'Hey, I am still eating here. The thing is dead.' Siren complained.

Neban walked over to the weapon, grabbing the handle but not pulling Siren out yet. 'Hurry before soone cos over and wonder why I have my sword sitting in a monster.'

Siren did not answer him as they continued to drain the monster. When they finished, Siren told Neban to pull them out. Neban took his sword out of the thing and walked back to the streets to kill the remaining monsters there.

Two hours passed when the streets were finally clear. Well, technically, the streets were not clear as there were bodies and destruction on them. But, there were no more monsters running rampage.

The remaining Warriors ca together as they rebuilt the barriers again.

The hunters who were injured had to go to the hospital building to get healed, while those who were fine had to clear the bodies off the streets.

No one said anything about the few destroyed buildings and ruined streets as the bodies were more important.

There was a vast graveyard in their city as they dragged the bodies there and laid them down. If the dead hunters had family here, they would tell the family, and the family will bury them while making a tomb.

The ones with no families, the hunters bury them themselves.

Then, they moved the dead monsters, in okay conditions, to the butcher's building to get used as food.

Everything could not get done in a day, but the first few hours were moving everything around and clearing the streets. Then, informing people to check the graveyard to see if any of the dead bodies were soone they knew.

It was night when Neban ca ho exhausted while slling like death since he has been moving bodies. When he entered the house, closing the door behind him, he pulled Siren out of his sub-space. They turned back into their human form.

Everyone was sitting in the living area, waiting for Neban and Siren.

Once the fighting was over, a few people would co out to tell the others that it was safe to leave their safe room. Neban knew that Xan was one of those people.

It has been a while since he saw the man, especially after he secretly killed the hunter, who hurt the man, a few months back.

Theo was the first one to jump off the couch, hugging him. His son did not care that Neban was ssy and stunk. Neban patted his back, "You are going to have to take a bath now."

"I don't care," Theo answered as his voice sounded muffled.

The others stood up, wanting to co over, but Neban ca to them. Siren walked off, entering the kitchen as they were still hungry.

Neban stopped next to Wey and Isona while his mother spoke, "Is everything good outside?"

"Yeah. The monsters are all dead, and the barriers are up again. But the governnt wants to call a eting for all the hunters tomorrow." Neban answered.

"Was it bad?" Isona asked this ti as she rubbed her stomach.

Neban nodded, "But the monsters' causality was bigger than ours."

"This is showing that the barriers are not safe if they found a way to bring them down," Owain comnted.

"Makes wonder if the governnt is calling a eting tomorrow to talk about finally dealing with the monsters." Neban's father added.

Neban shrugged, "We will see tomorrow. But I am going to take a shower now; I do sll."

His mother humd while tapping his shoulder, "Okay. Make sure to take a healing potion. I will start dinner." She checked him over before walking out of the living area.

His father looked him over, nodding, before sitting back down on the couch. The man pulled out a new newspaper from under the sofa.

Owain patted his back since it was a clean area before walking away and joining Neban's mom in the kitchen. He started to cook with his mother a few months ago.

Neban walked to his bedroom with Theo still wrapped on him while Isona and Wey followed. He stopped by his door before telling Theo, "Hey, can you go to the other bathroom and take a bath by yourself?"

Theo let go, stepping back as he nodded, "Okay. But I am sleeping with you tonight." Then he ran off to the other bathroom.

Neban looked at Wey and Isona, "Did you hear that? Theo is sleeping with tonight."

"Then can we join you in the shower instead?" Isona asked.

Wey did not say anything as he reached out, touching Neban's stomach wound. There was even a vast bruise present on it.

Neban flinched at the touch as he forgot about the wound. The blood already dried up, so it was not a problem.

Wey frowned before dropping his hand, "Take a shower with Isona. I took one with you yesterday. But when you co out, I will be rubbing so healing potions on your wound."

"Can I get a massage too?" Neban jokes, trying to cut the tension that started to build. He knew that Wey and Isona hated when he would get wounds on him.

Isona chuckled while Wey smiled before punching his arm, "Do not push it, Neban."

Neban gave him a half-smile before pulling Wey close and kissing him. He moved back before saying, "I won't."

Isona continued to laugh, "How cute. Now I rember that I am supposed to join soone in the shower?"

Wey shook his head at them before walking off, saying that he will co back when they get out.

Isona and Neban walked to the bathroom as Neban reached out to touch Isona's growing stomach. "If the governnt does call the hunters (the original ones) to get rid of the monsters once and for all, I won't do it."

Isona put her hand on Neban's, pushing it more on her stomach, "Are you saying that because of Theo and our unborn child?"

"And for my parents, you and Wey, and Owain." Neban finished.

Isona looked at him, giving him a lancholy smile, "If they do call for that, I think you should fight."

"Isona-"

"Neban, you are an SS-level. There are rarely any SS-levels here. You even have Siren in your hold. I know you can bring an end to this. Yes, we will worry and cry for your return. But I know you will not die on us because you have us to co back to." Isona interrupted.

Neban moved closer to her, seeing how Isona was ignoring his sll and the ss on him. He touched his forehead to hers, "I made a promise to Theo that I will not fight anymore. That I will stay for him."

"Talk to him. He will understand."

Neban humd, wanting to end the conversation. So, he kissed Isona before backing away as he started to take off his clothes.

"I rember that I owe you a shower with ?"

Isona glared at him because she knew that Neban was trying to change the subject. But she sighed, letting it go, "You do."

Neban turned the shower to warm water as Isona joined him.
