There was dead silence in class as a result of my pronunciation, probably because I had never challenged the authorities or the an gimmicks of my classmates, or probably because they were waiting to see what would happen next in this series of drama that I had started.

Should I have just sat on the seat without complaining as usual? I thought, my skin prickling from the amount of stares I was getting.

Prof. Caden stared at for a whiler, then let his gaze return to the seat.

Honestly, I hoped that he wouldn’t be foolish or arrogant enough to sit on that seat to prove to a point and find grounds to suspend for insubordination; just a finger of his would do the trick.

But unfortunately for , and fortunately for the class which were waiting on so kind of drama, the middle aged man grunted, his eyes glaring at , promising consequences that would ensue if I was wrong, as he sank his buttocks on the chair.

The short smile that had visited his lips when he sat down took a fast escape when he tried to stand up again. He was stuck! Just like I had thought.

"Fuck!"

That was the first ti I was hearing our professor use a curse word. He was always prim and proper, always behaving, at tis, sanctimonious towards us werewolves, with a disguised hatred and disgust.

I could bet my ass that the only reason he was working here was because the pay was so much higher than a normal highschool would pay him, so so much higher.

"How long has this been going on?" He asked the class, but his gaze was on , prompting to wonder if he was questioning instead of my colleagues who were already laughing and snickering, unable to stop themselves.

I, myself, was battling with a chuckle that was threatening to escape. Why hadn’t the bald man listened to ?

Well, he would eat the fruit of his arrogance. I surmised, letting my eyes wander away from him to the entirety of the class, landing finally on Claire, the girl who was rumored to have slept the most with Adam, and who was closest to him other than his other conquests.

It was said that she would be his chosen mate if his destined mate doesn’t co along soon.

Well, they were birds of the sa feather. I thought. Bullies and damn rude snots.

She was laughing unabashedly with her four mbered crew, pointing and giggling at our professor whose eyes blazed with fury masking the humiliation that might be simring below the surface.

Even though the trap hadn’t caught their main target. It had still got a big fish, and it was fun to them, fun to the entire class since our professor wasn’t in many of our good books.

"Maya...answer the question! How long has this atrocity been going on?" Prof. Caden questioned again, gripping the desk tightly that his knuckles went white.

Which answer would fit the bill? I wondered, dancing a little on my feet as my mind reeled with the tons of bullying that had started since my wolfless state was commissioned. That was a year ago.

"So months ago...’’ I replied, biting my lips, looking away from him when his eyes went wide as saucers.

"Okay..why didn’t you report it?" He asked, and I shrugged, not knowing the answer to give him.

Should I tell him that reporting the delinquents would triple my sufferings? What would they, the teachers, have been able to do since the main bullies were the three sons of our king.

Surely, nothing can be done. The authorities would just give a casual warning to the boys whilst fearing their lives, and the hell I am in would be intensified. There was no use for that. The tempo was maddening as it was for now. If it multiplies, I might as well die.

"Who are the perpetrators of this cri?" He questioned, and I shrugged again. That was almost the sa as answering his previous questions, since they brought the sa results. The intensification of my punishnts by my bullies. And I didn’t want that. It was best I kept my mouth shut.

When Prof. Caden saw that I had no plans of talking about the matter, he hissed in disgust, obviously disappointed with my cowardice. But then he wasn’t the one that would be victimized when all this was over. "Soone, get my phone on the table. I need to get to the principal." He commanded, but no one moved at that mont.

"Are you all deaf? Get the phone!" He shouted, losing the remnant of his cool. His loud voice bood across the classroom, probably reaching the hallway because in the next minute, our music teacher, Ms. Karen, walked into the classroom, surprised when she saw Prof. Caden on one of the desks of the students. She was a werewolf.

"Prof, what are you doing?" she asked, stepping closer to the center of the class, her eyes taking in the whole environnt.

Prof. Caden sighed, then shook his head. "It is a long story, Karen. These children would be the death of . Do you have any idea on how to unglue out of this chair?" He asked Ms. Karen, whose face clouded with confusion, nodded, before walking to my seat, gently pushing to the side with her shoulder, before she placed her hands on Prof. Caden’s shoulder.

"Are you ready?" she asked him, and he furrowed his eyebrows, probably not understanding what she was talking about. But he still nodded, obviously interested in the kind of help that she had to offer.

I saw when the realization dawned on him, the realization that the young Ms. Karen wasn’t a normal human like him, but a werewolf like us, or rather like them. I wasn’t one. I saw when the shock gave away to a grunt of unhappiness.

If the man hated us this much, money shouldn’t keep him around here. I thought, watching as Ms. Karen pulled him off the chair, by grasping his shoulders, the chair making a slush and slash sound as they were finally separated.
