There was laughter everywhere in the cafeteria. The matrons serving the food said or did nothing. Sinclair sighed in exasperation. I wasn’t sure of Raul’s reaction to his sisters bullying, I didn’t look.
No. I was transported in ti to the cafeteria back at the pack, I was transported to the past. To the particular ti when Noah had poured milk, to the ti when Daniel had joined them, when the entire occupants of the pack, or most, had joined them in throwing food at , and the supervisors had done nothing, the matrons had done nothing. Until Noami had run and called the principal.
My fists clenched, watching the girl sniff. She was about to cry. I didn’t know when I moved, didn’t care to know how I had gotten in front of Rachel in less than two seconds, and grabbed her by the neck. Grabbed her by the neck and pulled her out of the chair.
"Don’t dare use your magic on , or you are gone, Rachel." I said when I saw her hand twitching.
It was a gamble. A very risky one, knowing that I wouldn’t have a coback if she touched . I had also banked on the fact that she hadn’t seen the rusty key that I had used for my locker. It worked.
She dropped her hand, and sneered at . I could see a tinge of fear in her eyes though, I could see from her eyes that my mask was glowing more than usual, but this wasn’t the ti to wonder why. A slip on the anger on my face, on the ruthlessness on my face, and I was gone.
There was a hushed silence in the cafeteria. It was like there was a pause in ti, everything revolving around and Rachel.
Rachel tried to shake herself from my grip, but sohow my grip was strong on her neck. She tried again, but it wouldn’t budge. It was then that I knew that I had gotten strength too from Adam. I was a tad bit grateful for that, especially as panic took hold of her. I let her go then. But not before picking her own container of orange juice and pouring it over her head.
There were gasps in the atmosphere.
"The principal had told that there was no special treatnt for the royals in the school. I can see that it isn’t true. Although I’m curious now on what happens to for disrespecting a royal for bullying a classmate." I said, taking a step away from her, my eyes finding the girl whose face and hair was still covered with milk. She was staring at with an open mouth. She looked familiar.
"What’s your na?" I asked her, folding my arms across my chest like I could care less of Rachel who seed stupefied to be bathed in orange juice. I noticed then that Sinclair had co to stand beside . I would have asked him to get out for not doing anything about this occurrence which seed regular despite his headboy-ship but for the fact that I was powerless if Rachel should try to use magic on .
"My na is Levina."
I was the one to gape then.
The principal’s daughter!
"Is your father aware of this?" I asked, not believing my eyes.
I looked around the cafeteria in disgust. They had shut their mouths, allowing the principal’s daughter to be bullied? How was that even possible? I thought, looking at the matrons who hid their faces in sha.
Oh, they were not going scot free. I will make sure to report this incident, both to the principal and the Queen. I don’t care for the repercussions. As a matter of fact, I will be doing that now. I held the girl’s hand, and was about to move with her out of the hall, when she held back.
"My father can’t know about this. His job..."
"I don’t care about that! And I’m sure he won’t too!" This must be the reason why the man had asked to look after his daughter. He must have had the instinct that she was bullied.
I almost wept at the unfairness of the situation. So much for a peaceful community where all things were fair.
"Do you know what your father told , before he let leave his office this morning after registration?"
Everyone’s attention was on us now. Everyone’s ears were open. That was good. Even if I had the cloaking magic, I still wouldn’t have used it at this point.
"He told to take care of you. He ntioned that you thought I was cool, cool trouble..." I chuckled drily when the girl blushed in embarrassnt.
"I didn’t see you at the party, or recognized you in class, since I was trying to get past the boring lectures, but when I heard your na, it was like pressure had suddenly been thrown to my back. I need to do this, and you better not stop ." I slipped an evil edge to my voice and look, sothing I didn’t even know I could do. I wondered then if I had taken so of Adam’s evilness too.
Wonder about all that later. I said ntally.
The girl didn’t hesitate again when I pulled her and started walking out of the cafeteria. Naomi will be so proud of . I thought, a soft smile on my lips, as the girl tightened her hold on mine.
There was still silence in the hall, and no one bothered to stop us, or make a statent, probably because Sinclair was with us.
Raul stood up from his chair to get to us, but I glared at him hotly, and he halted. So high of him to think that I will let him near now? Yes, he wasn’t aware that I had been bullied but how could he stay still while his sister bullied another? What did that say of his personality?
So, I didn’t care about the hurt that expressed itself in his eyes. I didn’t care too that he glared at Sinclair who walked right behind us.
Sinclair.
I will tell him away once we were out of here. He had also stood by whilst Levina had been bullied.
