The night was thick with tension as Tianming prepared for the next move. The information from Wei Long was invaluable, but it only scratched the surface of the storm gathering on the horizon. Madam Yurei, the mysterious leader of the Black Falcon Circle’s eastern operations, was not a na to be taken lightly.

She had orchestrated dealings that spanned continents, and her connection to the Lotus Clan suggested an alliance that ran deeper than anyone could have imagined.

Tianming leaned against the cold brick wall of the abandoned academy, staring out at the city skyline. Beiwang had always been a place of shadows and whispered deals, but now it felt like a cage slowly closing in on him. The underworld had a way of twisting the innocent into pawns, and his every move seed to be part of a larger ga he didn’t fully understand.

His thoughts were interrupted by a soft knock at the door.

“Enter,” Tianming called, straightening up.

The door creaked open, revealing Lu Qingshan, his ntor and the only person who knew the full depth of Tianming’s mission. The old man’s eyes were sharp, his face weary but determined.

“You’ve learned about Yurei then?” Lu Qingshan asked, stepping into the room and closing the door behind him.

Tianming nodded. “She’s the key to everything. If we stop her, we stop the Black Falcon Circle, and by extension, the Lotus Clan. But that’s just the surface.” He paused, looking at the floor. “I feel like there’s sothing more, sothing hidden beneath all this.”

Lu Qingshan didn’t respond imdiately, but his eyes held a knowing look. “You’re right. There’s more, Tianming. There always is. But we can’t afford to get lost in the labyrinth. We focus on the shipyard first. It’s where everything is happening.”

Tianming’s fingers clenched into fists. “I won’t stop until I’ve uncovered the truth. No matter what it takes.”

The older man studied him for a mont before speaking again. “Good. But rember, the deeper you go, the more you’ll have to sacrifice. The Lotus Clan won’t fall without a fight, and Yurei… she’s not soone you can just defeat with brute force.”

“Then I’ll use more than that,” Tianming said coldly, his eyes burning with determination. “I’ll use their own thods against them.”

Lu Qingshan seed satisfied with this response. “We need a plan. We can’t just walk into Tiangang blind. I’ve arranged for a few allies to help us get in. They’ll cover the periter while you infiltrate. We’ll et at the old warehouse there. You’ll know it when you see it—it’s the one with the rusted gates and faded symbols. That’s where the exchange will happen.”

Tianming nodded, his mind already racing through the possibilities. “I’ll go alone. No one else needs to get caught in this.”

Lu Qingshan frowned. “That’s risky. You’ll be going up against an army. Are you sure you can handle it?”

“I don’t have a choice,” Tianming replied firmly. “The world doesn’t stop spinning because of fear. I’ve already lost too much to hesitate now.”

The old man sighed but didn’t argue. He knew Tianming’s resolve better than anyone. “Then it’s settled. The shipyard in three nights. Be prepared, Tianming. This isn’t just a fight for power—it’s a fight for your past. And your future.”

The tension between them thickened, but Tianming didn’t flinch. He had co too far to turn back.

The following days were a blur of preparation. Tianming spent his ti acquiring the necessary gear: silenced weapons, hacking devices to disable security caras, and a specialized suit designed to help him blend into the shadows. The closer the night of the eting in Tiangang ca, the more the weight of the mission settled on his shoulders.

But it wasn’t just the battle ahead that haunted him. It was the growing realization that he wasn’t just hunting the Lotus Clan. He was hunting himself. The deeper he dug into their world, the more pieces of his own forgotten past he uncovered.

Each encounter, each piece of intel, seed to unravel a different thread in the tangled web of his life. And as the shipyard approached, he couldn’t shake the feeling that whatever he found there would change everything.

The night before the eting, Tianming stood at the edge of the city, looking out at the darkened skyline once more. His thoughts drifted to the people who had been lost along the way—his parents, his old life, the friends he had once trusted.

He was no longer the man he had been.

The transformation was undeniable. The young man who had walked into the darkness seeking vengeance had beco sothing else entirely: a shadow, a weapon, a force of nature in a world of deceit and treachery.

He knew the stakes now. The people he loved would pay the price if he failed. His actions, no matter how small, had consequences.

And yet, he couldn’t stop himself.

He had a debt to repay. And this was the only way to settle it.

As Tianming prepared to leave, Lu Qingshan appeared in the doorway once more. The old man placed a hand on his shoulder. “Rember what I told you. Don’t lose yourself in the chaos. The truth may hurt, but it’s the only way forward.”

Tianming nodded, a brief flash of vulnerability crossing his face.

“I won’t lose myself. Not again.”

With that, he disappeared into the night, the storm that had been brewing now on the cusp of breaking. Tiangang awaited, and so did the answers he had been seeking for so long.

The next battle would decide more than just his future—it would reveal the truth about his past.
