"Daemon, do you intend to force your way in?"
A simple sentence, Xin Hui’s body radiated golden light containing the sowhat indistinct shadow of an arhat behind him.
Once Qing Yu responded, Xin Hui would strike with an Arhat Fist, regardless of whether the reply was "yes" or "no".
If the answer was yes, it would be provoking and would require a lesson. If it was no, disturbing the peace of the Buddhist sanctuary would also necessitate a lesson.
Qing Yu did not even need to use the Heavenly Son’s Qi Observation Skill to gauge Xin Hui’s ntal state; his stern face alone disclosed an unchangeable resolution to act.
’He really is quite domineering.’
Thinking this, Qing Yu suddenly made his move, drawing Earth Essence Qi into his body, his power spiked sevenfold. Pure Yin and Fierce Yang Gang Qi violently collided and ground against each other in his palms, generating an intent of destruction.
Yin Yang Grinding.
Xin Hui did not expect that the other would act without a word, which was essentially a sneak attack. However, Xin Hui had also been ready to strike first and was not caught off guard.
"Hmph, daemon."
Xin Hui’s entire body imdiately turned golden as if he was a golden statue, striking with a simple yet trendously powerful Arhat Fist without hesitation.
When the fist t the palm, intense Qi Force erged at the point of contact, ready to explode outwards, but was firmly restrained by the rising Buddha Light.
Behind Xin Hui stood two Guest Monks and beyond them was Pushan Temple. Surrounding them were worshipers, inexperienced in the terror of True Pill Realm experts. Although they were already dispersing, they were still within the range of the battle’s aftermath.
The bodies of these ordinary citizens could be killed by a re flying pebble; Xin Hui could not just stand by and watch.
After all, these worshipers were here to contribute to Pushan Temple, and it would be a great loss if they died because of Xin Hui fighting with soone.
"To think of defeating with a single move, Master Xin Hui, how arrogant!" Qing Yu said mockingly, corners of his mouth turning in a derisive arc.
Even if Xin Hui was the first to strike, it was impossible to defeat Qing Yu with just one fist. As soon as Xin Hui had decided to act, the outco was already sealed.
"Hmph, evil spirit, of course this monk can defeat you with one fist."
His fist shimred with golden light, Xin Hui’s entire body suddenly burst into a brilliant golden radiance as he redirected Qing Yu’s opposing palm with his punch, followed by striking directly at the heart with a simple but powerful ’Black Tiger Heart Stealing’ technique that carried the montum of shaking mountains.
The punch at close range was trendously swift. Qing Yu’s gaze flickered, he did not dodge; instead, his body suddenly emitted nurous chilling Sword Qi, forming tangible sword edges that enveloped his entire body.
All Swords Return.
At the sa ti, his palm contained Yin and Yang, his fingers uniting the Five Elents, the Yin Yang Five Elents Qi converged into one mighty palm strike aid at Xin Hui’s chest.
"Heh." Xin Hui saw Qing Yu counter his punch with a palm strike and chuckled lightly, his fist unrelenting.
"Crack—"
A grating sound continued, and just this noise caused the Guest Monks behind Xin Hui to bleed from their ears and scream in agony.
The nearby worshipers who hadn’t yet moved away suffered even more: so collapsed, others clutched their heads and staggered.
All Swords Return, after Qing Yu had comprehended Xuanyin Sword Intent, his Sword Qi beca even more sharp and structured, akin to the Xuanyin Sword Armor, rendering his defensive and offensive powers incomparably potent.
However, this still couldn’t stop Xin Hui’s fist.
"Break!"
In an angry shout, the fist forcefully shattered the Protective Sword Qi and then, after passing through an invisible Qi Force that diffused the power, it solidly struck Qing Yu’s chest.
At the sa ti, Qing Yu also struck Xin Hui right in the chest with a palm.
"Hum—"
"Thud—"
Different sounds erged, but they led to the sa outco.
Qing Yu staggered back three steps, his Inner Qi churning within him, but he ultimately managed to block the punch.
Xin Hui, anwhile, burst forth with Qi Force, forcibly expelling seven strands of Qi Force from his body, reflecting them towards Qing Yu.
After that strike, although neither of them was seriously injured, the superior fighter was now evident.
Even after absorbing the Earth Essence Qi, Qing Yu’s Power still couldn’t match Xin Hui; a direct confrontation was rely a path to defeat.
"The Arhat Golden Body of the Great Zen Temple, Master Xin Hui has cultivated it to the pinnacle," Qing Yu said, halting the churning of his Inner Qi in admiration.
Contrary to Qing Yu’s expression, Xin Hui looked ominously dark, as if water was about to drip from his face, and he sternly demanded, "Where did you obtain that Golden Body Refining thod?"
The protective thod from earlier was unmistakable – it was a Buddhist Golden Body, and not of a low level at that; otherwise, it could not have blocked his punch.
"Master speaks wrongly," Qing Yu shook his head and said, "Dao is Buddha, and Buddha is Dao. Buddha originally is Dao, and Dao contains Buddha. Isn’t it only natural for to practice the Golden Body?"
"Ha ha, excellent, an ’only natural’," Xin Hui laughed in fury, "I hope you can still claim it’s ’only natural’ after you descend to hell."
His aura erupted violently, and Xin Hui, no longer minding the bystanders, moved rapidly with both fists launching simultaneously, countless light shadows stacking upon each other, forming the Five Hundred Arhats, pressing down thunderously.
’It worked. An arhat’s body and mind are free of impurities, free of the afflictions of ignorance. Xin Hui only cultivated the power of the arhat, not the heart of the arhat, therefore he easily gives rise to anger, always resorting to force. Now, by invoking his anger with the Power of Thought and rhetoric, I aim to break his ntal State,’ Qing Yu thought secretly.
Don’t treat the title of arhat as so low-class designation. An arhat is one of the four results of voice-hearing, one of the ten titles of the Tathagata. They have cut off all delusions seen and thought through the Three Realms, attained omniscience, and are thus Saints worthy of great veneration in the world.
A true arhat is the highest proof of Buddha’s voice-hearers and is also a title for those who have eliminated all desires, freed themselves from afflictions, and are revered and respected by people; this is utterly unlike those low-ranked titles of legend.
Although Qing Yu was a Daoist, his understanding of Buddhist Studies was by no ans shallow. Shi Zhixuan, whom he had defeated earlier, was a successor to one of the Four Great Saint Monks of the Buddhist sect in the Great Tang World, possessing Buddhist Law that surpassed the vast majority in the Buddhist community.
And after absorbing Shi Zhixuan’s insights, this Buddhist cultivation had also beco part of Qing Yu’s knowledge.
Coming here to provoke was not a reckless charge by Qing Yu. He had done his howork beforehand.
For instance, why Xin Hui had failed to beco the head of Arhat Hall all those years ago had also been uncovered by Qing Yu.
It was reported that Xin Hui was passed over not only because his Martial Arts were inferior but primarily because there were issues with his ntal State.
However, these ntal issues would naturally not appear easily, given that Xin Hui was also a high-level expert nearing the Peak of the True Pill Realm, a Buddhist True Pill – a relic – soon to be perfected.
Qing Yu also used all ans at his disposal to ignite the Fire of Ignorance within him.
"Master Xin Hui, allow to fuel your fire further. Earth Essence Qi, absorb."
