Volu 2 Chapter 23 – "I'm Going All Out With You!"

“Have a good sleep, Little Sha.” A gentle hand brushed over the sleeping girl’s delicate face. Bilodis’s soft, pampering voice was like a mother coaxing her child to sleep.

After gazing at Teresa’s sleeping face for a long while, Bilodis stepped out of the room in slow, noiseless steps—like walking through dense foliage, not even a whisper of sound followed her movents.

As she left and gently closed the door behind her, her eyes landed on the silver-haired Elf maid who had appeared silently at so point.

“Your Majesty Bilodis.” Laini bowed respectfully.

“You watched the whole thing?” Bilodis smiled. Though phrased as a question, her tone left no doubt—she had known all along the silver-haired maid was ‘eavesdropping’ from outside.

“At first, I was worried that Her Highness wouldn’t recognize Your Majesty due to her mory loss. But seeing you two interact just like before, I was relieved.”

Laini, of course, knew it was impossible to hide this from Bilodis. In the Goldenwood Hall, everything fell under Bilodis’s authority and surveillance—no breeze could stir unnoticed. Since Bilodis hadn’t chased her away, Laini had watched openly.

“However, though Her Highness’s body has been restored, there still seem to be quite a few issues remaining.”

“These things take ti,” Bilodis said thoughtfully, eyes drifting toward the closed door. “All I could do was grant her the royal Divine Blood needed to rebuild her body. As for the ridians and bones... they cannot return to how they once were.”

She narrowed her eyes. “Right now, she’s still... incomplete.”

“I rember Her Highness insisting she wasn’t ‘Teresa’ before, and she often slips, revealing excess mories. Do you think... is it possible that similar souls could result in the sa person?” Laini finally voiced her long-held suspicion.

A soul sacrifice—could a “stand-in” be possible?

“You’re right to consider that. I had similar concerns at first,” Bilodis said with a soft smile.

“But after so direct interaction... I’m certain that possibility doesn’t exist.”

“Why?”

Instead of answering directly, Bilodis chuckled and walked to the window.

Inside the secret realm, where ti flowed differently, dusk had just fallen. Beneath the sparsely scattered stars and a faint moonlight sky, Bilodis twirled a lock of hair and glanced back with a smile.

“There’s no way an older sister wouldn’t recognize her own little sister.”

***

So soft… so warm…

Teresa curled into herself, feeling like she had never slept this soundly or comfortably before.

It felt like lying atop a bed of clouds—fluffy as cotton candy, wrapping around her every inch, molding perfectly to her shape like a gentle mother holding her in her wide, forgiving embrace.

Her lips moved slightly; she felt so relaxed she didn’t want to move at all.

Divine singing echoed faintly in her ears, the scent of lavender drifted through the air… for the first ti in her life, she realized just how enjoyable sleep could be.

Bathed in this softness, Teresa felt like a baby again—cradled in her mother’s arms, nursed and coddled.

That safety and comfort made her reluctant to open her eyes.

For Elves, sleep wasn’t an essential need. They could go days without it. Sleep was just... a routine reset.

As soone with a naturally precise biological clock, this was a rare morning of indulgent slumber—she had fallen asleep the mont her head hit the pillow and slept like a newborn.

Even as that internal clock raised its hamr to gently knock on her consciousness, she simply couldn’t open her eyes. Her eyelids were heavy like lead.

Clearly, her internal clock had rung already. Normally, she’d be up by now.

Sleeping in just this once should be fine, right? It’s just one day…

It’s not like the sun will actually scorch my butt or anything...

…Wait.

Why is it so itchy and sore back there...?

Is the sun really that strong today?

She wanted to ignore it. Her eyelids fluttered before closing again—but the tingling didn’t go away. In fact, it grew worse, pushing her to the point of helpless irritation.

Wait a second... I’m lying face-up. How the hell is the sun even shining there?!

Teresa reluctantly cracked her eyelids open. Her vision was blurry, but she could make out a few strands of golden silk resting on her neck—smooth, delicate... but very ticklish.

What... is this?

She opened her eyes wider and saw a field of pure white.

A magnificent, heaving, surging sea of white.

For a mont, she thought she’d woken up by the ocean.

Then—snap!

She ca fully awake.

She was lying on a huge princess bed, draped in velvet and frad by swan curtains.

Above her, sunlight stread through onto a dazzling ceiling—and just below that ceiling… sothing even brighter, even softer: a giant white rabbit…

No.

It was Bilodis.

Teresa froze.

She tried to move, but couldn’t. An arm like a jade shackle was wrapped tightly around her waist. And that wasn’t the source of the tickling.

This old woman… even in her sleep, her hands are this indecent?! And why the hell are we even sleeping together?!

Right now, she was curled into Bilodis’s embrace. Their hair was entangled, mingling until it was hard to tell where one ended and the other began. Bilodis lay beneath her, one hand clasped firmly around her waist like a doll—and her other hand... was very much not behaving.

Worse yet, at so point during the night, Teresa had unknowingly grabbed onto the very arm Bilodis was using to hold her.

mory surged back.

She rembered exactly what happened before she passed out.

And the mont she recalled the scene of her utterly losing it during that “torture”—sobbing, laughing, humiliating herself—Teresa wanted to die on the spot.

Teresa, Teresa… how could you let yourself fall apart from sothing so childish?!

It was just tickling, for goddess’ sake! A low-tier punishnt! And yet it had left her completely disgraced…

That damned cow of an old woman… making suffer that humiliation!

Now awake and well-rested, Teresa stared listlessly, wondering how to erase this new black mark on her record.

Maybe I should just silence her for good.

While she’s still asleep… I’ll strangle her.

She unwrapped her arms from Bilodis’s and slowly raised her hand… only to lower it again in resignation.

Yeah, no. Without her hair ornant, she was just a regular Elf. Trying to strangle her? No chance.

Bilodis had once held back an entire Demon Army to protect the Sacred Tree of the Elves. Even if her Divine Authority wasn’t ant for combat, it would take her a single flick to subdue Teresa again.

No need to create another black mark...

Her hand hovered near Bilodis’s pale neck… and lowered once more.

There was nowhere she could go like this. And she couldn’t get back to sleep in this awkward hug, either.

And now…

Raising her eyes, then lowering them again, Teresa found herself struck by an unexplainable sense of competition.

She reached a hand to her chest and compared.

Yeah… they’re definitely a size larger.

Was this even physically possible?

No—maybe I just asured wrong. I’m confident in myself, after all!

She tried again, cupping carefully to gauge volu. Then raised her eyes and t a pair of erald-green ones, full of love, affection… and mischievous amusent.

“…”

Teresa froze.

The awkward silence thickened.

“Awake now~?” Bilodis’s sweet voice chid like a spring breeze.

“Ah, yeah.” Teresa averted her gaze, wishing she could bury her head in a pillow.

So embarrassing! She’d been caught doing sothing ridiculous!

“How long have you been awake, Little Sha~?” Bilodis asked gently. Teresa couldn’t tell if she was imagining it, but it sounded teasing.

“Just now. Not long.” She feigned nonchalance.

“Ohh, I see. So you were sleepwalking just now?” Bilodis’s eyes twinkled.

“Were you dreaming? Were you… picking peaches in your dream?”

“Urgh…” What a wicked woman!

Her cheeks flushed. Clearly, Bilodis had been awake for a while—just pretending to sleep, watching her every move!

“It’s okay~ No need to be shy. If you’re interested in sister’s body, I welco it wholeheartedly~”

Bilodis reached out and poked Teresa’s nose.

“Such a naughty girl. All curiosity, no courage.”

“You’ve got no right to talk! You—you violated in my sleep! What kind of sister does that, you deviant?!”

Even if I’m not the real Teresa, she thought bitterly, this is her actual body! How can her own sister do sothing like that?!

“Then you’re the deviant little sister, hm~?”

“You’re the deviant!” Teresa huffed. “Now let go—I’m getting up.”

“How did you sleep~?”

“Terribly. Not as comfy as the little bed at Coleman Academy.” She pouted.

“And waking up to your face first thing in the morning is the worst.”

Bilodis said nothing, simply gazing down at the girl in her arms with a smile full of indulgent amusent. Her erald eyes clearly saw through Teresa’s every lie.

“Wh-why are you smiling like that?!”

“Nothing~ It’s just… your sleeping face was so cute. You were muttering things like ‘I’m sorry, Sister,’ ‘I was wrong,’ ‘Please don’t punish anymore’ in your sleep~ Adorable~”

“Lies! That’s slander! I would never say sothing so pathetic!”

“Really~? Are you sure?” Bilodis's tone was full of mirth.

“Of course I’m sure! …What’s your point?”

“Pfft.” Bilodis held out a crystal stone inscribed with magical runes, swaying it between two fingers.

“Little Sha, do you know what this is?”

“How would I—” Teresa started, then caught a glimpse of the runes. They did look familiar.

Wait a second—that was a recording enchantnt!

Magic engraved with voice-capturing runes, infused with spiritual energy, able to store sounds for playback. She’d read about it in her beginner’s magic theory books.

Don’t tell her…!

Her pupils shrank in horror.

“That’s right~” Bilodis smiled, as if reading her thoughts.

“Little Sha was just too cute last night. I couldn’t resist recording that precious mont with a little mory stone~”

“Oh—and I placed it on the bedside table yesterday. So it’s been active all night, up until just now.”

“Every sound in this room… every word… all~ recorded~.” She paused for dramatic effect, her foxlike smile growing wider.

“Aww~ Now I can relive those adorable monts of yours anyti I want~”

“You—you’re bluffing! That has to be empty! You’re just trying to scare !”

Knowing her personality, Teresa figured this nasty woman was perfectly capable of such a bluff.

“Ohh~?” Bilodis’s smile turned radiant.

“So now you don’t believe your big sister anymore, hmm?”

“Can you bla ?! You’re the most untrustworthy woman I’ve ever t!”

“How an~ Fine. Since you don’t believe , I guess I’ll just have to play it.” With that, she activated the stone with a delicate tap.

A bright light pulsed from its center—and after a brief crackle of static…

A shrill, unmistakable voice erged. A voice both laughing hysterically and sobbing, completely out of control.

“You sick pervert!” Teresa snapped. The mont she realized her entire breakdown had been recorded for eternity, sothing in her mind snapped.

She lunged forward to snatch the stone.

“Damn you, pointy-eared old hag!

I’M GOING ALL OUT WITH YOU!!”
