11 ~ That Guy Really Found Teammates?

“What did you just say? …You found teammates?!” Frand’s expression flickered between shock and disbelief. After a mont, he composed himself, putting on a smile that didn’t reach his eyes as he addressed Dylin.

“Oh, now I’m really curious—which blind… oh no, I an to say, which uniquely-minded Divine Princess actually took a liking to you—an utterly useless, completely incompetent blind Divine Child?” Frand feigned a slip of the tongue, then smoothly rephrased it with a gracious smile.

“Mr. Frand, you’re a teacher at the academy, not my teacher. So please stop referring to yourself as ‘Master’ in front of . And also, don’t pry into my affairs. These are my personal matters—they’re not within your jurisdiction, are they?” Dylin responded coldly, not giving him an inch.

“…Heh, how impolite. Isn’t it a teacher’s duty to care about a student’s academic progress?”

“I’m afraid I’m unworthy of your concern, teacher Frand. Everything has already been taken care of—there’s no need for you to trouble yourself.”

“All prepared? Really now?” Hmph, keep pretending. Let’s see how long you can keep up the act.

You? Finding teammates? Pah. Do you even know your own worth?

Like a duck refusing to admit it’s dead even with its neck wrung—no dignity left but still holding onto appearances. Fine, I’ll just wait and see how long you can fake it.

Frand didn’t believe for a second that Dylin had found teammates. He would’ve bet his life—unless every Divine Child in Coleman Academy suddenly dropped dead—no Divine Princess would ever join a team under this blind fool who couldn’t even use Divine Analysis.

What a joke. Those Divine Princesses were notoriously proud and self-important. They looked down on even grassroots Divine Children—let alone this cripple. It was almost laughable.

“Did you stop for sothing important, teacher?”

“No, just sighing at how the world never ceases to surprise.” Frand kept up his smile, but his words were dripping with mockery.

“If Dylin here hasn’t found any teammates, just be honest about it. With your... situation, I’m well aware of the facts. Pretending and pushing through only makes people laugh even harder.”

“If it makes you happy.” Dylin, unfazed by the sarcasm, returned a careless smile.

“From the looks of it, teacher Frand didn’t really have anything pressing to say to . As the saying goes—‘don’t expect ivory from a dog’s mouth.’”

“You—!” Seeing Dylin’s confident posture, Frand felt like he’d thrown a heavy punch into a pile of cotton—completely ineffective.

“I’m quite busy. I’ll be taking my leave.” With that, Dylin didn’t spare him another glance and strode away, leaving Frand behind.

That brat’s mouth was as foul as it was sharp…

Frand felt both irritated and—strangely—uneasy.

Not a single teammate, and yet the brat acted so composed.

It was unlikely, but… had he actually tricked a few foolish Divine Princesses into joining him?

Impossible. Divine Princesses were born and raised in luxury, with high standards. A few sweet words wouldn’t be enough to coax them into a trap.

But if he had found soone… then what?

Still feeling uneasy, Frand decided to head to the academy’s records office to check for himself.

In a certain sense, Frand’s obsession with Dylin could be called true love—he was practically losing sleep over him.

“Excuse , Miss Blaise. I wonder if now’s a convenient ti?” Upon arriving at the records counter, Frand put on his usual respectable and kindly deanor. And, with his handso half-elf features, that smile could’ve easily chard quite a few love-struck girls.

Unfortunately for him, the woman behind the counter—Miss Blaise—wasn’t one of them.

Having her lunch break interrupted, the black-haired human woman in a white teaching robe let out a sigh, resentfully putting down her lunchbox and slowly standing up, visibly annoyed. “You have interrupted , Mr. Frand. What brings you to the records room instead of eating or napping like a normal person?”

“Well, Miss Blaise, I wanted to check on the current team mbers under one of the academy’s Divine Children.” Though Blaise had snapped at him, Frand kept his smile plastered on.

“Oh? Since when did you start caring about students so much, Mr. Frand?” Blaise teased.

“You flatter , Miss Blaise. As a teacher, I naturally have a duty to remain diligent and look after my students.” Frand responded with ease.

“So? Who do you want to check on?” Blaise sat back down and propped her chin lazily in her hand. This sort of request wasn’t sensitive—the information wasn’t confidential, and team rosters were publicly available anyway.

“I’d like to check on the Divine Child nad Dylin. He’s a freshman this year.”

“Team leader Dylin? What’s to check? It’s just a new student team—no real records or accomplishnts…”

“I just want to see the list of his team mbers.”

“Team mbers? What’s so interesting about that? Including him, there are just two people.” Blaise replied offhandedly.

“Two??” Frand’s eyes widened.

“Yeah, I only just processed the entry request for their team, so it’s still fresh in my mind.”

“No, no wait… where would his second mber co from? …I an, didn’t his teammates all quit a few days ago? Wasn’t he alone?”

“Sure was. And now soone new joined today. What does that have to do with anything? Or are you saying it’s against the rules for soone to join his team?”

“No, that’s not what I ant. Is the other team mber a Divine Princess?”

“Yes. Though it looks like she hasn’t undergone Divine Awakening yet. Such a pity—she’s so young, and with such a large scar on her face. Makes you wonder what she’s been through.”

“…What’s that Divine Princess’s na?” Things were clearly veering beyond Frand’s expectations—his face turned cloudy.

“Her na? If I rember right, it was Teresa.”

“Teresa??” Frand frowned.
