Chapter 931: Chapter 902 Just Relying on _3

“I had heard so Archmages say that the cost of raising a Dragon is very high, and you can only raise it to the juvenile stage at most…” Kalalin nudged Alamir, who was with him, with his elbow, “Now I understand why.”

“How magical…” The Elf Priest gazed at the scene in front of him with fascination, “I only know that so Ancient Dragons will consu all their treasures at the end of their life, which is part of their death ritual…”

“Death ritual?” The Scholar curiously asked, “Dragons also have death rituals?”

“Dragons can live for a long ti, but they are not immortal; of course, they have death rituals, just like our funeral.” Shuni’s Priest shrugged, “As mbers of the long-lived species, Elves do know so secrets of the Giant Dragons, but it’s just limited to understanding. No one knows the exact function of the death ritual, only speculations that it might be related to the fate of their Souls after death…”

The rate at which the Giant Dragons consud Gold was very fast, but Molo’s treasure trove was too big; it seed it would take at least another hour to finish it all. Moreover, although Dragons have a natural keen sense for Magic, there were too many magic items here, making it hard to distinguish if a particular item had any warning spell. In less than ten minutes, Lancelot sensed a strange magical wave.

First, a bright blue Magic Mirror suddenly appeared in the hall, within which was the owner of the treasure trove, the Lord of Oasis Fort, the male Succubus Molo. From the background behind him, Lancelot could see the battlefield within the pit of corpses: raging fires were everywhere, it seed even the stones were burning, Demons were launching a siege on the Demons guarding the Portal, and new Demons continuously rushed out from the Portal, while the Outer Layer Demons fiercely attacked the line of defense of the Demons’ side, like a gigantic lting donut.

Even in such a fleeting glance, Lancelot could see the Demons had the upper hand. The Portal’s Inner Circle defenses were retreating steadily, with just one six-ard Serpent Demon struggling to hold on, while the Outer Circle Demon’s defense was like an iron tube, repelling one wave after another of the Demons. The Wolf-Serpent Demon, who had always stayed by Molo’s side, was currently locked in fierce battle with the Deep Inferno Demon Refinent from the Demons’ side, appearing difficult to determine a quick victory, while the male Succubus himself was waving a slender steel whip, urging more soldiers to enter the battlefield.

“Thieves!” Molo scread in anger, looking at his treasure trove through this magical window, “How dare you!!!”

The three female Dragons turned to glance at him, saying nothing — because their mouths were full.

“Hahaha, well done, dare to stir up trouble on my turf…” The male Succubus seed to have gone mad with rage, “Watch this!”

Only to see Molo pull out a bizarre Magic Sphere, activating it imdiately. The four walls of the treasure trove suddenly lit up with a faint blue phantom, enveloping the treasure trove like a cage.

“Hmm hmm, this is a Dinsional Lock, don’t think you can escape with Magic…” The male Succubus smirked sinisterly, “Just wait, watch flay you, rip your hides, and hang your heads in my hall…”

The most taciturn Black Dragon raised its head and suddenly spewed forth a deep brown Dragon Breath at the ceiling, instantly creating a gigantic hole overhead that was large enough for a Dragon to fly through.

The Black Dragon turned its head, showing the owner of the treasure trove a sinister smile, with the glint of Gold faintly visible between its teeth.

“Aaaaah!!!!!!” The male Succubus was so angry that he tore out a handful of his hair, “Damn thieves, just you wait!”

The Magic Mirror disappeared, and in the next second, chaotic footsteps echoed from the corridor. The Lord of Oasis Fort, the recent traitor Molo, appeared at the treasure trove’s entrance with three entire squads of well-equipped (extravagant) Berserk Demon guards. Lancelot noticed that the Wolf-Serpent Demon, who had always accompanied the male Succubus closely, was absent, which was the best possible scenario among various expectations.

Molo shouted orders for his subordinates to attack the Giant Dragons, though he had no intention of joining the fray.

Compared to the Berserk Demon, the strength of an adult Giant Dragon was, of course, overwhelming. Still, the Tanari were known for their tenacious Life Force, and the Berserk Demon was an exemplar among them. Once the colossal Giant Dragons were entangled by those creatures, they would be in as dire straits as a lion besieged by a pack of hyenas, but with the pride of Dragons, how could they retreat without a fight?

Both the Black and Blue Dragons simultaneously raised their heads, and in the next mont, two terrifying streams of energy spewed from their mouths. Lancelot had seen the Dragon Breath of a Red Dragon and a White Dragon before, and their Breaths were conical, but the Breaths of the Black and Blue Dragons were linear. On two lines about five feet wide, the Black Dragon’s corrosive acid and the Blue Dragon’s raging Lightning surged through, devastating everything in their path, eventually creating two huge holes in the walls of the treasure trove.

The Berserk Demons unlucky enough to be hit by the two different Dragon Breaths stood no chance of survival, but those who were only hit by one were severely injured yet still combat-ready. The fearless Berserk Demons continued their charge, trying to close in before the Dragons’ Breaths recharged, to leave a deep impression on their Lord with their Great Axe and Spiked Club.

At this mont, the Green Dragon Iserli took action. She had enough energy for a Breath attack in her belly, but the Breath of a Green Dragon was poison damage, almost ineffective against Demons, so Iserli did not join her kin in their earlier chorus. However, as the craftiest True Dragon, the Green Dragon has never relied on its Breath but rather its clever mind and keen judgnt.

As the Lightning and acid faded, the ground suddenly cracked open, and a large number of Razor Vines rapidly sprouted from within. This plant, considered a scourge of the Outer Planes, has razor-sharp leaf blades, and sturdy stems twisted together like cables. Razor Vines have no intelligence, unable to lure even the dumbest fool into their leaves, but the Razor Vines summoned by the Green Dragon stood over 5 feet in height and width, instantly rendering the Berserk Demons’ movents nearly impossible.

The Green Dragon’s tactics didn’t end there; she further summoned a thick fog near the closest Berserk Demon. In the next second, this Berserk Demon was convinced that the Green Dragon was his best friend; the frustrating Razor Vines parted in front of him, offering a path to his old friend. The Berserk Demon walked forward unguardedly, where the Green Dragon was smiling broadly, welcoming him.

However, before reaching that smiling face, a black and a blue Dragon Claw descended simultaneously, shredding the chard Demon to pieces. At the sa ti, Iserli had already locked onto her next victim.

While the Giant Dragons dealt with those Berserk Demons, Lancelot also gave his companions the signal to act through their ntal link. Of course, the main attack was Lancelot’s responsibility. Before anyone else could act, he attempted to launch a surprise attack using Shadow Jump.

An unexpected situation occurred: the Human Knight failed to rge into the shadows, as if blocked by an invisible wall. Lancelot imdiately realized that the Dinsional Lock set by Molo had taken effect. The essence of Shadow Jump is phase shifting using the Shadow Plane, but the Dinsional Lock can block all teleportation within its effective range, including cross-dinsional movent, hence his failed Shadow Jump.

The companions were still faithfully following his orders. Bruto roared and leaped to the top of a Gold mountain, hurling his Warhamr towards the Lord of Oasis Fort, while Kalalin and Alamir each cast Slow Spell and Silence Spell— as a Demon Lord, Molo, of course, had strong magic resistance but was not completely immune. If the Scholar’s or Priest’s spells were to succeed, it could significantly weaken the opponent’s combat ability.

The male Succubus shifted slightly, narrowly avoiding the Dwarf’s Warhamr as it crashed into the floor, creating a large pit, and luckily resisted the two spells targeted at him. Molo realized at this mont that soone had ambushed him here. The next second, a flash of light racing towards him shrank his pupils. The Lord of Oasis Fort flapped his wings suddenly, retreating like a flea, avoiding the fatal blow while also catching a glimpse of the attacker’s face.

“It’s you?!” Molo recognized Lancelot, “Are you Tijana’s lover? Why are you here?”

“Of course, I ca to settle scores with you.” Lancelot pulled out his Hand Half Sword, which had embedded over a foot into the floor, “I guess you didn’t expect this day to co so soon, did you?”

“Just you?” The male Succubus stared grimly at the Human Knight, “And those three Dragons?”

“No, not including those three Dragons.” Lancelot shook his head and stepped toward Molo, “Just .”
