Chapter 816: Chapter 827: Chaotic Battle

Magic, a transcendent act that utilizes the primordial magic power within the multiverse to achieve certain effects. Similar practices can be found in the Tao of spiritual cultivation, though there are subtle differences from the magic in this world—spells in spiritual cultivation, at least at the level Lancelot currently masters, are mostly driven by one’s own energy; whereas magic is about manipulating the magic net to mobilize the primordial magic power of the multiverse itself, thereby achieving various effects to alter reality.

Lancelot took about three heartbeats to recover from the state of shock, but this brief mont was enough for his opponent to do many things—the nearly crippled living quarters extended another set of four root tendrils, wrapping Lancelot and forcefully flinging him away, and when he regained his perception of the outside world, he was flying upside down, headfirst, already falling towards the small lake full of Stygian River water.

The Stygian River water is one of the most dangerous substances in the multiverse; even a splash of it could cause one to lose several days of mory. If a person fell into it completely, even if Lancelot imdiately swam out, he would likely forget his own na. A simple combination of attacks, but maximally utilizing the threatening environnt, made even the human knight want to applaud the enemy.

Of course, this was far from enough to defeat him.

Billowing true yuan surged from the dantian, gathering behind Lancelot into a pair of enormous cyan-green wings. This was a minor divine skill he had comprehended after achieving enlightennt in Raven form, though it consud a significant amount of true yuan and its flexibility was not as great as the true flight of Golden Core cultivators, it was more than sufficient to deal with sudden situations.

The majestic figure of the giant titan, clad in full body plate armor forged from mithril, now added a pair of slightly off-color wings, making Lancelot resemble a real angel. And, he was no stranger to having wings on his back.

With a flap of his wings, Lancelot halted his montum in mid-air, and another flap sent him flying back the way he ca.

But his opponent did not simply stand idle—just as Lancelot flew forward less than twenty feet, his body crashed into an invisible barrier with a boom, almost knocking him out again. The barrier was as hard as diamond; despite the trendous impact power of Lancelot at the mont, there was not even a tremor upon collision, proving the extraordinary nature of this invisible barrier. He imdiately realized what he had encountered—a force field wall, a powerful barrier immune to almost all damage and magic, only removable by a Disintegration Spell of the Sixth Circle. However, a simpler response would be to go around it.

But these few setbacks had already delayed Lancelot too long, and worse, a large amount of sticky white spider webs suddenly exploded into existence around him, making even lifting his arms difficult.

anwhile, a figure resembling an angel more closely than Lancelot rushed in from the nearby forest—it was the flesh golem that had rescued Madam dusa earlier. Seizing the mont when everyone else was preoccupied, it dashed into the heart of the battlefield like lightning, slashing left and right, heavily wounding both the human scholar and the zombie princess, and the third slash aid for Bruto’s back as he fought desperately with his opponent.

Yet, as the horrifying serrated longsword was about to strike, a comparatively shorter figure stood between the sword tip and the giant Bruto.

A sharp tallic tearing sound echoed; Barrend looked down in surprise, finding that the enemy’s sharp longsword had pierced through his shield, also thrusting into his chest. He quickly turned his head to see the sword tip had rely scratched his son’s skin, thus revealing a satisfied smile.

“What?”

As Bruto turned sharply in pain, his eyes instantly beca crimson red. An unprecedented rage erupted within the dwarf’s body, his figure suddenly grew three feet taller, and his blood nearly vaporized under the fury’s stimulus. He opened his mouth, bit and tore the tendrils binding him, unexpectedly severing the root-like tendril, then swiftly swung his warhamr, fully hitting the angelic flesh golem, forcing its gemstone-hard body to stagger back with one blow.

But this strike consud too much of his life force; Bruto’s size began to shrink rapidly, like a balloon with the string released, in just a breath he returned to his original form. Feeling extrely exhausted and powerless, he still forced himself to gather strength, holding his dying father and retreating back with all his might.

At this mont, Little Issa, who had maintained stealth since earlier, finally reached the third witch’s back—a hideous creature with goat-like horns and a body as gaunt as a living corpse, dancing wildly on the rooftop of a snail-like small house in the forest, while Little Issa could clearly sense that one spell after another was thrown towards their companions with her distasteful dance.

Her job was to stop all this.

Even if soone was watching here, they would find the vampire wanderer’s figure blurred, disappearing from sight if not watched carefully. Like a leaf blown by the wind, Little Issa silently landed behind the dancing witch, lightly slashing at her neck.

Lancelot suddenly felt his surroundings lighten, all the magical effects restricting his movent vanished in an instant, and through the mind connection with Little Issa, he imdiately knew the reason—once again, the little vampire had opened up the battle for them, though the cost for everyone had been high.

With no more obstacles, the human knight’s figure flickered across the battlefield like a phantom, instantly rejoining his companions. The angelic flesh golem, just repelled by the dwarf, had barely recovered, preparing to chase, but its vision was suddenly filled with blinding cyan light.

“Break for !”

Known for his reluctance to speak during battles, even Lancelot couldn’t help but murmur lightly at this mont. His great sword traced a crescent arc through the air, hitting the target’s head, but the result was astounding—a seemingly assured strike, although creating a horrific wound from the opponent’s head to abdon, didn’t cleave the body in two; it seed the creature’s bones beneath its flesh were made of mithril.

While Lancelot was still marveling at the opponent’s hardness, Half-elf Tanya also slashed at the staggering angelic flesh golem. To Lancelot’s surprise, the enemy’s figure instantly vanished, and his spirit perception completely lost track of the opponent’s existence.

“Quick, make use of the ti!” Tanya shouted at the sowhat stunned Lancelot, “This is the Banishnt Slash, it’ll reappear in a minute!”
