Chapter 811: Chapter 822: Acquaintance

“You are…” Lancelot pulled out the naked Gray Dwarf, simultaneously recalling the information Tijana had ntioned about him, “Master Narak?”

“Yes,” the old Dwarf in the group spoke up, “We have t at the Craftsn Committee’s eting.”

“Barrend Frostforge?” The Gray Dwarf squinted, eyeing the people around him, “Ah, I see, I see now, the Prince is actually here to save you, right?”

“You…”

“Yes, that is my purpose,” Lancelot straightforwardly replied, “But you might have misunderstood so parts. I knew Master Barrend before I t Tijana, and coming here is my own decision. If you wish to escape the current predicant, I suggest you move with us. Afterwards, if you don’t want to return to Twin Bridges Town, you are free to go.”

“You will set free?” The Gray Dwarf stared at Lancelot with suspicion, “Without any restrictions?”

“Why would I do otherwise?” Lancelot shrugged and turned to Bruto, “Do you have any spare clothes? I think Master Narak might be a bit cold…”

“But I am very important to Twin Bridges Town!” The Gray Dwarf seed to be overwheld with a sudden, naless anger, “Shouldn’t you…”

“Persuade you to stay?” Lancelot’s expression began to cool, “Listen, Master Narak, I’m not denying your contribution to Twin Bridges Town, but Tijana has never stopped anyone who worked for her from leaving… at most, she just didn’t actively provide ans to depart. On the other hand, she provided you with generous salaries, a safe environnt, and expensive yet comprehensive entertainnt activities, causing you to hesitate whether entering the wilderness of the Plains of the Abyss was worth the risk. Am I right?”

“…”

“Although I don’t fully agree with her thods, I understand her reasons. The Abyss is not a hospitable place, Master Narak.”

“Alright, enough talking with him,” Bruto said impatiently, “Dulag, you can leave now. You don’t need to return my underpants and vest, consider it your severance pay.”

The Gray Dwarf turned to look at the Human Knight, who nodded indifferently. So, he decided within a heartbeat and ran towards the staircase, quickly disappearing from sight.

“What a strange guy,” the Half-elf finally spoke, “I thought all Dwarves were like… Bruto.”

“Pah, those Dulag are the disgrace of our race!” The young Dwarf spat on the ground, “Ungrateful scum!”

“But why was he here?” Kalalin frowned, “And why was Uncle Barrend found naked in a forest…”

“At least they have sothing in common. Isn’t that right?” Bruto chuckled, “Both lost their clothes, ha!”

At that mont, Lancelot suddenly dashed towards a wall like a madman. His armor emitted a jade-like glow, and with a boom, he crashed a big hole into the wall, his figure disappearing into it.

“Father God above!” Bruto exclaid, running over, “Big brother! Co on, I was just complaining a bit, didn’t an to do anything to him! I didn’t even intend to wash those underpants!”

But when everyone gathered around the newly made hole and looked outside, they realized that the Human Knight was not looking for trouble with the Gray Dwarf. Lancelot was half-kneeling on the ground, pressing a female body beneath him. His left hand firmly pressed the head with snake hair onto the ground, preventing her face from erging, while his right hand already held his Longsword, the cold iron blade pressing against her exposed neck.

“It’s that dusa!” Kalalin exclaid in surprise, “Why is she here?”

“Mmph… I surrender…” dusa mumbled unclearly, “…don’t kill …”

Lancelot maintained his position, restraining dusa. Only after his companions had gathered did he set aside his Longsword. Using his now free right hand, he conjured a thin vine with a hand sign, which wrapped around dusa’s head several tis like a blindfold, ensuring she couldn’t use her most dangerous ability. He then summoned another vine to bind her hands behind her back.

“I’m very sorry to do this to you, but these asures are necessary because of your abilities.” Lancelot stood up, pulling dusa up from the ground, “You can stand now, Madam.”

“Is this how you treat a lady?” dusa viciously shook off Lancelot’s arm, “Where is your chivalry?”

“This is how I treat captives,” Lancelot responded unemotionally, “Since you ntion chivalry, I can assure you, I don’t have a habit of mistreating captives. So, if you make any untoward moves, I will ensure you a swift and painless death. Is that clear enough?”

“Very clear.” Despite being blindfolded, dusa still raised her chin.

“Great.” Lancelot nodded, “Now, we need to return to that tower… do you need support?”

“Just let know when to watch out for the steps.”

“Very well.” Lancelot lightly flicked his sword blade with his finger, producing a clear ringing sound, “Before we continue our conversation, can you tell your na?”

“…Kes.”

“Pleased to et you, Madam Kes. Now, please walk forward, yes, in this direction. It’s a pity our etings so far have not been pleasant, but I think that’s entirely your fault. The first ti, my friend was locked in your dungeon, and the second ti, you were crouching outside, preparing to ambush us…”

“I wasn’t!” Kes the dusa imdiately retorted, “I was just trying to slip away…”

“You lingered on the outer wall for too long,” Lancelot calmly pointed out, “Why did you capture my friend in the first place?”

“Who exactly are you referring to?”

“An old Dwarf, captured the day before you were killed by .”

“Oh… him…” Kes answered nonchalantly, “Just another ordinary test subject, why, is that old Dwarf anything special?”

“He is my friend, and that is special enough.”

“Oh, of course, but I didn’t know that at the ti.”

“Be careful, there’s a step ahead. Considering that resurrection is possible in this Demon’s Domain, why did you beg for rcy?”

“…”

“Do I need to ask again?” Lancelot pressed his rigid weapon against dusa’s back.

“…Don’t you know?” the female captive’s tone turned sarcastic, “The Lich King has returned, the tricks of the witches will soon be destroyed, the dead will not only fail to resurrect but will also beco permanent slaves to Peyton Derrick…”
