Chapter 393: Chapter 407 Too Loud
Lancelot began to silently gather his energy, channeling the True Yuan to his lungs. The Lion’s Roar Skill that he had used during the fight with Zoel, the Matriarch, seed appropriate for this occasion as well, as long as he didn’t roar at people directly.
“Cang Ye has already tead up with demons from Barto Hell!”
The sound like thunder exploded in the room, leaving everyone montarily deprived of their ability to speak. True Yuan is converted from nature’s spiritual energy, and although Lancelot’s Dantian was mostly depleted, he still used a considerable amount of True Yuan for that shout, which added a hint of power to rival the heavens and earth to his voice.
“The current General of the Demon Legion, Ulgog, is actually a noble of Bartez!” Taking advantage of the fact that the audience had recovered from the shock but had not yet had the chance to speak again, Lancelot hurriedly continued, “With the help of Ulgog, the Mother of Demons has organized an army larger than any before!”
“What?”
“This is impossible!”

“Ulgog is a Bartez?! (Abyssal language)”
The sudden coarse guttural voice startled everyone, and Lancelot turned to see that the tal doors on either side of the room had been opened at so point. A few Succubuses and Berserk Demons stood at the door, staring blankly at the crowded group of people in the room.
Lancelot then realized that his shout might have been a bit too loud.
“Human, are these demons good people too?”
A tall Radiant Cloud Angel spoke up, and everyone turned to the Human Knight at once.
“No,” Lancelot shook his head and in a flash, drew his Frostslash, “They are the minions of the Mother of Demons.”
The battle erupted imdiately. Three Radiant Cloud Angels acted first, their giant wings flapping as they charged at the demons. Mid-charge, they transford into a storm wrapped in tal fragnts, fiercely sweeping past those bewildered enemies, instantly inflicting nurous wounds and casting a powerful magic dispel, in case any active spell effects were on these unprepared demons.
“Radiant Cloud Strike!”
An excited shout burst from the crowd as more warriors took up their weapons and rushed forward, faster than them were the arrows loosed by the Archers. Under such a dense attack, the poor demons had no chance to survive, and within a few breaths, they were all chopped into pieces.
Unfortunately, apart from these unlucky ones guarding the door, there were no more demons temporarily for these energetic warriors to vent on. Although a long ti had passed since they were ‘captured,’ to them, it had only happened monts ago, and most were still in a state of extre excitent.
While it’s true that all these heroes had seen the terrifying true face of Cang Ye, that experience failed to leave any mory in their minds; it might as well have not happened at all. Their surroundings were the typical underground dungeon, allies were at their side, ferocious demons lay ahead – all were familiar scenes.
At this mont, they were imrsed in the excitent brought about by the sight of legendary heroes and the reunion with long-gone friends, without the chance to contemplate what kind of unknown world awaited them. Perhaps only when they returned to lanthan and discovered their forr ntors, kin, and loved ones had long since passed away into ancient history would these resurrected heroes truly understand what they had lost.
They regrouped at the feet of Lancelot, with many questions waiting for the Human Knight to answer.
Yes, there were too many questions, but Lancelot didn’t have ti to answer them all, so before any questions could be asked, Lancelot spoke first.
“Listen, that Demon nad Ulgog, who is nominally the commander-in-chief of the Demon Legion, contacted Cang Ye in this room a few minutes ago. The demon army has already reached the walls of Pascaler, and Cang Ye also ntioned that the Queen Consort, Finier, has arrived in Androlina…”
“I can testify to that,” the Great Elder, Quirion, chid in tily. “Aside from myself, Talasher and Dalarna over there heard it too, and then there’s Mielu. You all rember Mielu, right? The little one particularly fond of fresh flower cakes…”
A subdued laughter rose from the crowd, except for the three Radiant Cloud Angels who had turned back into semi-nude Giants. One of them, with a serious expression, asked:
“If the King Consort himself has co, the situation seems very grave… How many are in the enemy’s ranks?”
“Unclear, our initial objective was to acquire the Demon Legion’s battle plans as a condition for the Protectors to agree to take in Elothysia.” Lancelot glanced at Acheron next to him, who nodded, looking sowhat uneasy.
“But as I was trying to sneak in just now, I overheard a conversation between a few Succubi,” Lancelot turned to continue addressing the crowd. “It’s said that the ‘Mother’s Whip’, ‘Soul’s Wail’, and ‘Bonebreaker Summon’ regints have all reached their maximum numbers…”
The crowd below erupted into an uproar; although the Human Knight himself did not understand what three fully-manned Demon Legions entailed, the audience’s reaction clearly indicated that the situation was anything but optimistic.
“But why didn’t Ulgog go with them? Why did he stay here?” another Radiant Cloud Angel asked.
“Pay attention to the Magic Formation beneath your feet. That’s the most important task Cang Ye has assigned to the Demon.”
Lancelot pointed to the center of the room, whereupon those standing there dispersed with a whoosh, revealing complex lines and Runes etched into the floor.
“That’s an evil spell from the Nine Hells, capable of extracting energy from the pain of virtuous souls,” the old Elf explained imdiately. “And a Succubus Paladin is an extrely rare sacrifice that contains trendous energy. Cang Ye just instructed Ulgog to sacrifice the Succubus during her battle with His Highness, the King Consort, to gain additional strength.”
“And you’ve already disrupted that plan, a very good developnt,” another Radiant Cloud Angel nodded. “With His Highness, the King Consort present, they can’t expect an easy victory. But the demons still have an overwhelming advantage in numbers. We must return at once. The Protectors of Androlina need support.”
“Is there anyone among you who can perform that powerful Teleportation Magic to send us all back at once?” Bruto, who had not spoken until now, suddenly interjected, and that was also the question Lancelot wanted to ask.
All eyes suddenly turned to the old Elf, the Great Elder known as Quirion Landale.
“To send so many of us back together, we would need to use the Ninth Circle’s magic ‘Portal to Another World’. But that requires a perfect Diamond worth 5000 gold as a casting material…”
Lancelot imdiately pulled out a pigeon egg-sized sparkling Diamond from his pocket.
“…And the spell must be morized in advance,” the old Elf said, looking at the gemstone in Lancelot’s hand, swallowing hard. “I’m sorry, but I don’t even have my Spellbook right now, let alone the ability to cast such magic.”
