I have been in the kitchen for the last ten minutes searching for so quick snacks but have been unable to get anything till now. Ryan and Ben are in his office and doing their alpha duties, while all the elders are also there. Gramma is sleeping or, in her words, recharging herself, and as Lily didn’t co back to the house, I am guessing I didn’t have to unleash that jealous monster inside . I gave up and was about to go into my room when soone rang the doorbell. I went towards the door and opened it.
I am surprised to find Ethan here. "Hi Ethan, I didn’t know you were coming" he is looking uneasy, and his gaze is not eting mine. "Did sothing happen?" I asked him, and he shook his head.
"The alpha king asked to et him in his office," he told , and that’s when I realised that I was eting Ethan for the first ti after accepting Ryan... {Does he think I will take revenge on him? or Is he sad that his chance with is nil now?}
"Sure, you can co inside", I told him and was going to go towards the kitchen when he stopped .
"I didn’t know that you were blessed with a second chance mate, or I would have never co behind you" he is really looking guilty. "I would have never stopped you from leaving with the alpha king, and I would also have never got my hopes high for all this."
"I never told anyone because I was not sure about accepting him. Living with werewolves was not in my plan for a long ti... at least not before I t dee. I ca here only because of Dee, and he is the only reason why even I joined this pack," I clarified, and though he was still not looking fine, he forced a smile on his face.
"I am happy for you. You deserve all the happiness." he patted my shoulder and looked at my hand that was in the sling. "Take care. I should go inside" I nodded, and he went inside the office after knocking...{In all this, I rembered sothing.. Dee has not mind-linked for a few days now. Can it be that he is too busy?}... Now when I am thinking about him, the sudden feeling of hearing his blabbering and looking at his cute face overwhelms . I want to et him.. {and I can also share my chocolates with him}. I smiled and ssaged Ryan to co out so we could have a quick word. He ca after five minutes and smiled at .
"Thank you for calling outside. I seriously wanted a break" he sat on the couch and closed his eyes... {he seriously looked bored}
"Where are my chocolates?" As soon as I asked him, he huffed and opened his eyes.
"Our deal is not over till now. They are still here," he stated, and I pouted.
"Then give half the paynt. I have done the half part of the deal" he is still looking at with a pointed expression. I went near him and took his hand in mine. "Please, Ryan, I am going to et Dee, and you already know he also likes chocolates, and I don’t have any. I have to go in the opposite direction to buy it, and I can’t drive. Please.... please... pretty please" I looked at him with my best puppy dog eyes, and that’s when he again took a deep breath, and I smiled in triumph.
"There is a mini fridge in my sketch room. Don’t try to fool because I have already counted the number of chocolates there... you are only allowed to take three" I nodded in happiness. "Is there anything in the kitchen? I am hungry" he got up and went towards the kitchen, and I followed him
"You can find everything except quick snacks. I have already tried," he groaned, and I couldn’t help but feel bad. "I can cook sothing if you want", he looked at with a smile and patted my head, "or I can grab a chocolate for you from your mini fridge."
"No need, you should go and et dee. Do you mind if I will join you after a few hours? I don’t want to stay under the sa roof as those elders for much ti," he asked with a smile, and I nodded.
"Fine, but call before it. I don’t want you to spoil my ’quality ti with dee" he pinched my nose while chuckling.
"No need to beco jealous. I am not snatching your dee from you," he said, and I glared at him while rubbing my nose.
"But you can. He is already impressed by you. I don’t like sharing my people with others," I said with a pout. I turned towards the entrance, but he stopped by grabbing my hand. "What now?" I turned toward him, and his intense expression made nervous. His eyes are focused on my face, and he is looking at with so much intensity that I am afraid that I will lt under his gaze... {Does he have laser beams in his eyes?}
"You beco so jealous whenever soone gets close to ’your people. Don’t you feel jealous when sobody cos near ?" I gulped and tried to look away, but his gaze had already captured under its magic. My mouth is all dry now, and my heartbeats skyrocketed a while ago. "After all, I also co on the list of ’your people, didn’t I?" that’s the last straw for . I closed my eyes in panic and tried to calm my breath... {It is easy to talk with him when he is not in his mate mode... sobody should capture those rabid butterflies}. I felt his forehead touching mine and his hands encircling around my waist softly "dance..?" he whispered after a while, and I opened my eyes to see if he was serious. He chuckled while his eyes were still closed. "You know I can feel your gaze" before he opened his eyes, I placed my hand on his eyes.
"Will you please keep your eyes closed?" I said to him timidly, and he frowned, "Your gaze makes nervous, and I can’t tolerate much mushy feeling" Imdiately, a beautiful smile appeared on his face while I adored his cute dimples and pearly whites "and I didn’t know how to dance" I accepted.
He instantly grabbed my waist from both sides, lifted off my feet, and placed my feet on his "Oh my god, what are you doing, Ryan?" I whisper-shouted at him, and now my hands are on his shoulders. I am looking at him with wide eyes, and finally, he also opens his eyes.
"Is that nervous feeling good or bad?" he asked , and I again beca nervous.
"Not bad for sure", I mumbled, and he again smiled.
"Then I like to make you nervous. Especially when that blush makes your face look just like a tomato" I fake glared at him, and he made an innocent face "Now, dance?" he again asked , and I rolled my eyes.
"Without music?" I asked him, and he smiled.
"Just enjoy the voice of your dashing mate" he winked at , and I couldn’t help but smile... {Just when I feel I can’t fall for him anymore, he proves wrong by making fall harder for him}... "I found a love.." He surprised and twirled around "for ... darling, just dive right in... follow my lead" his voice is so soft yet lodious that I can’t help but imrse in the magic that he created with his lodious voice and his gaze "dancing in the dark, with you between my arms....."...He is looking at throughout the song, and I don’t know anything except this.
I know my body is moving, but other than that, I can only see his love-filled eyes and the smile that is adorning his face... (Yeah, he definitely is the most dashing person on this planet}. I am so happy and content at this mont that I don’t want it to end, but sadly things don’t work like that. We ca out of the trance when we heard soone coughing. I pouted at him, and he was also not looking very happy with the disturbance. We both looked at the source of the disturbance with annoyed looks and found Ben and Gramma sitting at the dining table and already glaring at Gary with the sa looks as us.
"You should have co later. We were enjoying it," Gramma complained to a very tiring-looking Garry.
"Well, you can let each other go for now. We are mateless people, though we were enjoying your little performance. Still, there is no need to show off, son’’ Ben pointed, and that’s when I removed my hands from his shoulders, but he still didn’t let go instantly. He softly grabbed my waist, lifted up and softly placed my feet on the floor. Then he took my hand in his, and we went towards the others.
"You guys sure know how to disturb a peaceful mont", he complained, and Gramma agreed with them.
"Yes, they surely do. I was enjoying it so much, but.." she took a tiring deep breath, "these people are just too annoying."
"I am going," I told them, but Garry stopped .
"We have so information about Diego’s mother" this caught my attention, and I sat on the chair and gestured to him to sit too. Ben went to the kitchen’s entrance to see if soone was coming. Ryan took a seat next to , while after closing all the windows of the kitchen, Gramma also took a seat next to Gary.
"You can continue. I will alert you if soone cos," Ben told us, and Gary nodded.
"No one in the pack ever saw her shifting in front of anyone. After much effort, the lady who helped Luna at the ti of Diego’s birth agreed to talk with us. She inford us that when Luna was in labour, she had complications and that ti, so as soon as Diego was born, Luna shifted into her wolf to transfer her wolf’s energy to him, and that’s when that lady saw her pure breed white wolf. She swore to Alpha that she would not reveal this secret to anyone. She only revealed this when Anshuman shared his doubt with her that maybe Diego is also a white wolf" he stopped and looked a little hesitant.
"What is it, Gary?" I asked him, and despite hesitating, he continued.
"We received a lot of mixed information from there, and though we didn’t know for sure. Dr Anshuman and I both have doubts that the death of Dee’s parents was a pre-planned murder instead of just a re accident."
