Chapter 11: Chapter 11 - Stranger, Chocolates and rogues??
I was sitting on the tree and watching over the borders carefully when I received Layla’s call.
"Hey bitch" he told
as soon I received the call... {I still don’t understand why she calls
bitch when in reality she is really a bitch}
"Are you coming for the mate ball?" I asked her in hope, and when she didn’t reply to
for a few seconds, I knew that she was not coming.
"The alpha king is attending the mate ball, so Ellon and I have to stay here" I took a deep breath "we will co to et you soon, addy," she told , and I nodded.
"It’s alright, Layla, I just wanted to share sothing with you" I have not told them about my nightmares or my senses.
"Is there sothing wrong, addy?" she asked
in concern, and I heard Ellon’s muffled voice from behind asking her whom is she talking with.
"Everything alright, Layla, not sothing significant. How’s Ellon?" I asked her.
"He is aweso, addy," she said, and I already knew where her dirty mind was going... "Oh, he is so good..." before she said sothing, I cut her off.
"I am not interested in learning your dirty bed secrets, Layla." I practically whined this ti.
"You don’t have any option, addy," she said, and I rolled my eyes.
"We will talk later, Layla. I have double duties to do," I told her, and before she started blabbering shit or blaming gamma alexander for overburdening
with the workload, I stopped her. "I took the duty myself, Layla. There is no need to curse alpha or gamma," I told her.
"Are you planning to kill yourself?" she told , and I chuckled... {as if killing
was that easy}
"I will talk to you later, Layla. I am on duty right now," I told her, and she took a deep breath.
"Fine," she snapped and cut the call. I knew I had to make up for it later. I slipped my mobile into my pocket and again started to do my duty. At 8:00 pm, another warrior ca for the duty and released . I went to the supermarket for Diego’s chocolate and went to the orphanage. When I entered my room, I found Diego already curled up with his stuffed toy-wolf ’pappy’ on my bed. I removed the silver claws, took off my jacket and other weapons, and put them in their places.
I went to the bathroom, washed my face, sat beside Diego, and caressed his hair. He woke up and sat while rubbing his eyes. "How’s your day, dee?" I asked him, and he put his head on my lap.
"I went to school, then I played with pappy, then I had my lunch, completed my howork, and again played with pappy," he told
and gave
a toothy grin.
"Did you have dinner?" I asked him, and he shook his head... {this is the sa question that I ask him every day, and his answer was the sa as it was on the first day.}
"I wanted to eat with you," he told
shyly.
"Let’s go then" I stood from my bed.
"Will you give
a piggyback ride, addy?" he asked

those cute puppy dog eyes. I rolled my eyes but bent in front of him, and he climbed my back quickly. We reached the kitchen, and I made him sit on the kitchen slab. I opened the fridge and found lasagna there. I heated it, and we both had our dinner while Diego told
about every little thing that happened with him today and even those tiny little things that he observed around him too. After dinner, Diego ca with
to my room for his good night story while I gave him his chocolate. When he fell asleep, I took him to his room, tugged him into bed with his pappy, and ca to my room. I tried to sleep, but after 2 hours of trying, I got up from my bed and went to the lake.
Many things changed in my life, but this lake is the sa. It is still peaceful and calm and holds the beautiful mories I spent here with matt and Layla. I lay on the grass and looked at the stars twinkling cheerfully in the sky. I don’t know how much ti I spent there, but the peaceful trance broke when I heard shuffling in the bushes. I got up with a jerk and looked towards the bushes on my left.
"Who is there?" I asked no one in particular and took a defensive position. I never had to ask a second ti as a giant black wolf ca out of the bushes, and for a minute, I was srized by his beauty. This wolf is more massive than alpha Aiden’s wolf and has the most beautiful green eyes. I stood straight and gave up the defensive stance as I knew he was not a rogue as he didn’t have red eyes... {he must be one of the guests for mate ball} ... I gave him a slight bow as I could feel the aura of so high-ranking wolf around him, and he nodded in acknowledgnt. "Goodnight," I told him and walked in the direction of the orphanage.

"Can’t you spend so ti with , addy? The school will be closed for 4 days" Diego is trying to convince
to spend so ti with him... {I regret the decision to take double duty now. I really wanted to spend ti with Dee}
"I have duties to do, dee, but I promise after the mate ball we will go to human town and do everything that you wanted," I promised him, and his eyes widened in excitent.
"Are you serious, addy?" he asked
in excitent, and I nodded. He hugged

and ran inside his room while I laughed at his cuteness.
"Love you too, dee," I shouted and walked towards the borders. I fixed the knuckles with silver claws and took my position on the tree. I have been doing the duty of a warrior for the past two months, but today I feel like sothing will definitely happen.
I did my duty with extra vigilance today, I did not even answer Layla’s or matt’s call, but nothing happened. I tried to relax a little, but that nagging feeling was not allowing
to even blink my eyes normally.
It was around 6:00pm when I suddenly heard the voice of a few paws running towards . I tried to see soone, but I was unable to do so. I closed my eyes and tried to concentrate on the sound... it was not only the paws. I can hear human footsteps also, but their speed is not humanly... I opened my eyes, and now I could clearly see 15 rogues and 4 vampires standing on the edge of the pack’s border.
"Rember the plan. This is our last chance," a vampire said to everyone, and the others nodded. I don’t know how to inform anyone and stop them without getting caught... {o co on, you know how to fight} ... I rolled my eyes at my conscience and sent a text to Ethan to inform him that we were being attacked... {he is the only other than alpha who can send the warriors to the pack borders without taking alpha’s permission}
They entered the border and were about to disperse, which didn’t leave
a single chance to not co into their sight... {I can’t let them disperse} ... I jumped from the tree in front of them, and they all got shocked. As soon their eyes landed on , all my courage vanished, but I stopped myself from showing the fear I was feeling. Their shocked expressions changed into a mockery in a second. A rogue transford into a human and stood proudly in his baby suit. "I was expecting so warrior, not a little human girl," he said, and others laughed, and a few more rogues turned into their human forms.
"I will not mind having my dinner a little earlier," a vampire said to himself and took a step towards
with his elongated fangs, but another vampire stopped him.
"There is sothing wrong. I am unable to sll her," he said, and everyone tried to sniff my scent. "We should not take her lightly."
"I have taken down a beta couple of this pack. I don’t think that a human can be a problem," the sa vampire with elongated fangs said, and this was enough for my fear to turn into anger. He ca in front of
and smirked, but I didn’t wait for even a second and dug the right claw into his throat vertically and used my left claw to tear him apart. His limp body fell to the ground. I took an attacking stance, and now the rogues who had transford into humans again transford into their wolves and attacked
from every direction. I took the silver knives from my boots, and my body started moving on its own at its full speed.
A wolf jumped toward , but I sat on my knees and slashed his abdon with the help of knives and claws, then imdiately stood and jumped on another wolf who was running towards
and stabbed both of his eyes. Both the wolves fell to the ground while howling, and I stood from the ground and looked at the others. Another wolf lunged at , and I fell to the ground while he was hovering over .
He was about to bite my neck when I shielded my neck with my left arm. His canines dig in my flesh, but I didn’t give him much ti to use his strength on my already severed hand in his mouth. I took a knife and slashed his throat using my right hand. I pushed his body from
and looked at the others. I knew there was no way I would be able to survive this attack, but I knew that I could stop them until others ca here.
My left arm was bleeding heavily, but I will not give up. Another five wolves started circling
while others were just looking at us with interest. A wolf was about to lunge at , but before he did so, another wolf jumped towards my right hand and knocked the silver knife and claws, but I stabbed his snout using another knife. Now both my knives were gone, and I was left with a claw in my left hand. I don’t think that I can stop them for more than a minute now... before the wolves attacked , a vampire walked toward , and the wolves backed away. His gaze is cold and calculative, but still, with the adrenaline flowing in my veins, I can’t deny that he is drop-dead gorgeous.

"Can’t say the sa for your people" I don’t know from where it ca, but when these words escaped my lips, I couldn’t help but smirk proudly on my coback.
He chuckled, and his gaze traveled down my body. "I don’t know about werewolves, but we vampires have humans in our clans. I don’t want talent like you to die like that," he said in a business tone while pointing towards the dead bodies around us "we can turn you into a vampire if you want, drop your weapons and join us," he proposed, and I thought for a minute. I removed the claw from my left hand and stepped toward him. He smirked and nodded "good decision" as soon these words escaped his lips, I stabbed that claw on his neck.
"My every decision is good," I whispered, and he grabbed my neck hard and pulled the claw out with another hand. Another vampire ca toward him and licked his wound and healed itself instantly.
"There is a very little distance between courage and stupidity," he said and dug his fangs in the nape of my neck, and instantly I started feeling dizzy. I tried to fight him, but he was extrely powerful. I heard a pair of paws running toward , but I also knew that at the speed at which this vampire was sucking my blood, I would not be alive for even a minute... {no one is going to help you if you do not help yourself} ... I collected as much energy as I could and pulled my bun stick from my hair. I removed its cap and pushed that vampire away from . I shrieked in pain as his canines tore a large chunk of my flesh, but I didn’t stop. I don’t know from where I got this much energy, but I attacked him with so much force, and the blow was so hard that his head detached from his body and fell to the ground with a thud.
Despite the pain, fear, and dizziness, I smiled and fell to the ground, and slowly, darkness started engulfing ... {maybe I have not lived my life as I wanted, but I indeed chose my death as I always wanted} ... before I lose consciousness, I heard an ear-piercing growl and saw a glimpse of two green eralds... {finally, I will be able to et my parents...}
