Lanni’s hands flew to her gaped mouth. "You are pregnant?"
In response, Luna smiled as she rubbed her belly which was still flat. "It turned out, I was right to avoid wine when my period delayed. Though to be honest, I didn’t really expect it either."
Lanni didn’t hear her rambling. She enveloped her in a hug. "Congratulations! Again."
At the side, Xaiomu tried to mimic the word but was unable to because it was too complex, causing her mother and aunt to burst into laughter. Well, the main reason for their laughter was joy from the unexpected good news.
"Have you told anyone else about it?" Lanni asked. When Luna nodded, she looked overjoyed to be the first to know.
Luna smiled. "I’m sure they will know soon with how excited Xingyu is. He sounded like he could jump through the skies when I told him."
Lanni chuckled. It was expected. After all, the last ti Luna was pregnant, he couldn’t openly celebrate because he was nervous that she might be angry. This ti, he could dance and jump all he wanted because they both felt the sa way about it.
"This calls for a celebration! Are you ready to inform everyone else? Wait. You should make a party out of it." Lanni was just as excited as Luna.
The latter groaned at the idea of a party. "You an, throw a party for everyone else to drink wine while fighting among themselves for a chance to shove milk down my stomach? No wonder Linhou was so addicted to breastfeeding. He must have gotten too accustod to all the milk you guys kept making drink."
Lanni wiggled her brows. "Milk, you say? I think he just inherited the love for your tits from his dad."
Luna jabbed her with a flushed face. "I can’t stand you!"

Although Luna groaned and grumbled about the party, she actually wanted to host it more than anyone. However, it would amount to a lot of work if they hosted it at Xingyu’s villa and they probably didn’t have much ti, so they called to make a reservation at Scarlet House Hotel. When they invited their friends, all they said was that they were going out for a al together or there would have been no surprise. Xingyu had already planned to invite the guys so they rged the plan into a simple party.
Luna looked distressed even though everything was in perfect order.
Lanni grabbed her arm and helped her to a couch, giving her a glass of water. "Calm down, will you? It’s your second ti."
"I know. I just feel weird. Did you call mom?"
Lanni nodded. "And told her that you and I would like to have a mother and daughters dinner with her. I also told her that it’s okay to bring Neil with her."
Luna let out a sigh. It should have been easier since she had been through this before but for so strange reason, she felt more anxious than she had ever felt before.
She knew that at so point when she was expecting Linhou and Xiaomu, she would be forgetful and make the craziest errors including keeping her phone in the fridge and leftover food on her nightstand, near her charging cable.
Being aware that she might do that and crazier things made her feel her stomach knot.
"You will be alright. You did amazing the last ti. You will be even better this ti." Lanni hugged her head and smoothed down her hair. When she was certain that Luna was calm enough for the party, she sighed in relief.
The won arrived before the n and Lanni picked them up at the entrance of the hotel before leading them up to their private room.
As soon as they sat down, Cheng Yu looked at them skeptivally. "Spill. What did the two of you do? Did you murder soone and need help hiding the body?" She dramatically teased.
Lanni chuckled while Luna shook her head, but she wasn’t to bla. It was rare for them to call their friends out on such short notice, especially on a working day.
" I think they need help with their love lives." Xiaoshi teased when she arrived.
That reminded Cheng Yu. "How did it go with your Roo? Did you kiss and make up?"
Xiaoshi cracked up at the analogy. "Did Roo and Julliet ever fight because Roo was too busy to realize that she was misinterpreting it as him losing interest in her?"
"I don’t know. Did they?" Cheng Yu covered her mouth and giggled.
Lanni and Luna exchanged glances and were relieved that the two had found so odd topic to talk about. If they were to keep bugging about the reason they had been called out for dinner, it would be impossible to maintain the surprise.
Soon, everyone arrived and sat around the table. It made the atmosphere even more weird and everyone snuck glances at Lanni and Xiehan. Apparently, they all thought that the newly married couple who were currently preparing for their wedding were more likely to have news to share.
"Well, we will not keep you waiting anymore." Luna raised a glass of water for a toast. "Xingyu and I are expecting another baby!"
"Oh my God! Congratulations!" Cheng Yu hugged her before everyone else could recover from the pleasant shock.
Li Yuming did a happy dance and hugged Neil beside her briefly, before hugging her daughter tightly.
The won all fawned over Luna to ask how far along she was, why she didn’t share the news earlier and what gender she would like this ti.
On the other hand, the n were looking at Xingyu like they were conceding defeat.
She shook her head and laughed at them. Guys, it’s not a competition. Really, it’s not.
