The monsters and human reinforcent have been sent. Now, we need to improve the defense of Varadis while also not ignoring the defense of other countries.
Even if it’s obvious that they are attacking Varadis, that doesn’t an that all of the cult mbers were attacking Varadis.
Maybe all of the cult mbers were inford about the attack to sowhere. So even if they are weak, expert level, advanced level, or even interdiate level mages, if they want to, they can help with the attack. Or if they are smart enough, they can think to attack another location because the main target of the cult’s attack, which most mbers of the cult don’t even know.
It was weird that they didn’t even notice where they’re going until when they entered the portal. But it makes sense if they did it to confuse us in case we managed to infiltrate their rank.
Though so far, the spies we sent were unable to get that high up in the rank. Because we couldn’t afford to send powerful mages yet. We don’t have enough of them.
Or at least that’s what Albert and other Kings told after I brought all the reinforcent to the battlefield. I knew nothing about the spies. Because Albert and the others knew that even if I learned about the spies, when I t them, I might kill them right away if I don’t know that they are spies. Especially since the spies were all weak.
Though if we even send master level mages as spies, the cult will be suspicious of them. So we had no choice but to send weaker mages.
Anyway, the spies we sent were not even inford about the attacks. So I guess the low-ranking mbers of the cult were not inford. But we still have to be careful. Because right now, even an expert level mage from the cult can cause problems since we won’t have enough power if we send everyone.
Even if this might be our chance to find the Evil God, Albert and the others have to be prepared at all tis.
Sigh... I wish that all the schoolmates that I t in the reunion chose to join the army instead of showing off like that Attention-seeker. We could have gotten more manpower. And maybe so of them are rare gems like Angela.
Well, asking soone to be as talented as Angela might be difficult. But at least they can be taught magic control better and given the chance to increase their level quicker.
Maybe that’s the case with everyone as well in other city. They chose to be famous in their small city instead of fighting the cult.
I guess we found the disadvantages of having a competition and broadcast it for everyone to see. Now they know how to gain fa.
"Well, that’s all the reinforcent I need to send, right? Anything else?" I asked.
"We need to improve the defense around the capital of Varadis. Luckily, we haven’t heard any news of anyone reaching the capital yet. So we might be able to do sothing about it," old man Henry said.
"Yeah. The evacuation progress is going smoothly. Julia and William are doing well leading the people. But the enemies are master level mages. So they can still find where the civilians are hiding easily," Sunglasses said.
"Then we need to stop as many of them as possible, right? Does anyone here forget that I have several floating islands in Monsters Village? We can put them sowhere around the capital of Varadis and put so mages on the island on standby. That would help since a lot of the enemies are master level wind mages," I said.
That’s right. When I fought them in the valley and even when I entered the portal to where Shelia was, most of the mages were master level wind mages. Even if they are not master level in their wind elent, most of them are still wind mages with high enough level to be able to fly.
So if we put the floating island around the capital, even if we send soone who is not wind mages, they can still fight the flying enemies.
Although I have already send armies riding on flying horses like pegasus and the likes, having earth mages staying on the floating islands will make our defense stronger.
"That’s right! The floating islands! Unlike the cult, we have more earth mages than wind mages. Even with the help of the flying horses, the earth mages won’t be able to do anything to the enemies above. Wait a minute, I will tell you where you should place the floating mountain. Soone, give a map of Varadis!" Sunglasses said.Now that he can see, his orders are more precise since he can look at the map.
Well, I guess I will be much busier soon. I’ll take so mana potions with to prepare then. Because those islands are huge and I have about 50 of them now. The monsters were quite diligent in finding them. Especially the dragons.
"Oh, by the way, the dragons said that they are willing to help . Though they are still new and I don’t know if I can trust them. But I’ll order them to move those floating islands for now," I said.
Although the Crab People joined around the sa ti, the Crab People were already in a group. So I already know them.
As for the dragons, it’s just so individual dragons who found Andro’s granddaughter and decided to move in. They didn’t move in with a group. So I have to get to know them first before I put my trust on them.
But at least they can help with moving the island.
"It’s difficult to put our trust on the dragons then. But if it’s moving the floating islands, then that’s fine," Sunglasses said.
Soon after, he gave the map where I should place the floating islands. And I moved to the Monsters Village and et the dragon again.
The village is quiet now. except for a few monsters in charge of protecting the village, most of them are fighting. Except for the dragons who are still here.
"Dragons, I have a job for you. It’s not fighting, so those who doesn’t like fighting can still help. I need you to help move those floating islands to the battlefield," I said.
"No fighting? That’s fine then. A lot of us dragons grown tired of fighting. Though I and a few others will still help you in a fight," the dragon who talked to before said.
"Good. By the way, who are you?" I asked.
"...I’ve heard about the master of this village’s terrible mory, but this is the first ti I experienced it. I’ll introduce myself again then. I am the son of the Ice Dragon King. And here, because I’m the second oldest after the Kaiser Dragon who visited often, they decided to pick as the leader of the dragons. I don’t have a na so you can give one if you like," he said.
Son of the Ice Dragon King, huh? I guess he’s quite strong.
Unlike so dragons who wanted a safe place, he’s a lonely dragon. He moved here because there are many dragons here and he can fight with other races. This dragon also loves to fight.
"Well, I’ll call you Cooldra for now. Don’t complain about the na. Also, if you don’t mind fighting, how about you beco my ride for now? My horse is busy right now so I need another ride. What I will do will make tired, so it’s best to have soone help as a ride," I said.
"That’s fine. I don’t mind fighting after all," Cooldra said.
Nice. If the other dragons picked him as their leader, that ans at least he’s well-respected by other dragons. If he can be trusted, then I hope that other dragons can be trusted. And then we have powerful army of dragons.
Riding on Cooldra’s back, I opened a huge portal for other dragons to push the floating island inside. There are already at least one agent in the designated area so I just need to open a portal there.
One by one, we pushed the floating islands into the portal. Not just to the ones around the capital of Varadis, but also to the capital of other countries as well. Though for now, we put more in Varadis than other countries due to the urgency of the situation.
And for the last floating islands to be pushed into the portal in Varadis, I also entered the portal. That’s when I see that the enemies have gotten closer.
"Everyone! The enemies are in sight! At least my sight. Prepare to fight! Dragons, you can return back now. I’ll ask your help again later. Everyone who is fighting here, good luck!" I said before I opened another portal and left.
Now that my job in bringing reinforcent is over, I returned back to where Shelia was to fight the Archbishop.
Even though I said that I want to help Victoria, Sunglasses told that the Archbishop might have sothing important that he kept secret. And I’m the most likely to capture him alive. So I was ordered to go there after I move the floating islands.
Well, I’ll defeat him then. And Albert or the centaurs will make sure that the Archbishop tell us everything afterwards.
