"Wait, before all that reading mory stuff, are you the one they call the Spirit King?" I asked the slightly bigger than average spirit. He looks just like other spirits, but he’s a bit bigger.
"Yes. I can use all kind of elent. Though most of them are weak. And it has gotten much weaker since I haven’t used many of them for a long ti. In the past, humans used to worship . Then, humans started to want to exploit my power. So I escaped from humans and built this place called paradise for spirits to co and stay," the Spirit King said.
I see. Then, it will be hard to ask for his help since he had terrible experience of being exploited by humans.
But the Spirit King hasn’t finished talking about his past. For now, since I might need his help, I will endure his chat.
No matter what, he’s still the reason why Victoria and the others are sleeping. He is dangerous.
In fact, I even got caught in the illusion. I was just lucky that I got out. If I didn’t think that it was truly for the sake of my wish being granted, I won’t have the courage to sacrifice my limbs just for climbing the wall.

I just asked him if he’s the Spirit King, but he told all about his past. It’s just weird.
"So, how will you read my mind?" I asked.
"Using illusion magic and mind magic. I can make an illusion appears in front of and show everything that has happened in the past of those who got affected by the illusion. I can just target my magic on you, and your past will be shown," the Spirit King said.
"I can’t trust you to put in your illusion again. I will just break out of the illusion if that’s the case. How about you wake up my friends first so they can see that you really won’t do anything to . Also, if you can really projected an illusion about my past, I’m sure that they would be interested to watch my past," I said.
If what he said is right, then it won’t only be my past of this life that they see. But about my past life. Though I don’t know if it’s possible or not. But if it’s possible, then I might have clues on where to find the Evil God from my past life that I forgot.
"Wait, I have one more question. Will the mory you read is only about the things I rember, or even the past that I have forgotten?" I asked.
"The illusion work as my mind is connected to yours. So everything in your mory, even if you have forgotten it, can be seen. I actually helped humans a lot in the past by letting them see the mories they forgot. But humans beca too greedy and wanted to exploit and my ability," the Spirit King said.
That’s good. So the things I have forgotten can be seen again.
And since I don’t know if I could rember them all again after this, it’s best to get the others to see it.
And if I could have Victoria and the others wake up, I no longer have to worry about them since they would be able to protect themselves.
"So I can see my past that I have forgotten then. That’s good. I forgot many things," I said.
"Though you can’t see it since you will be sleeping. Our mind will be connected, so if your mind is affecting , it will show the thing you want to see instead of your real mory. That’s why it’s best for you to go to sleep," the Spirit King said.
"That’s why I need my friends to see my past since I can’t trust you. I’m not a centaur after all," I said.
Even if he sees my past, if I’m asleep, then I can only hear about it from his mouth. And I don’t know if he will be lying or not.

At least I can get both Victoria and Shirley to see my past. If it’s the two spirits or the ghost, I don’t know what will happen.

If he just naively do as I said and wake even Sonia, Airy, and Breezy, then I would be worried because he’s too naive for soone who have lived for a long ti and had been exploited by humans in the past.

Soon after, I can see that Victoria and Shirley woke up.
They were confused at first because this is an unfamiliar place for them to be. So I calmly approached them to tell them about everything.
"Wait, so everything is illusion?!" Shirley shouted.
"Not everything. Part of the climb is true," I said.
"So what do you want?" Victoria asked after she cleared her mind.
"For now, I don’t know whether the Spirit King can truly grant soone’s wishes outside from using illusion. So we might not be able to receive anything after all the things we went through. But if there’s so chance that we can find anything about the cult from my past, then I want you to check it. Also, it’s still possible for the Spirit King to help us if he learn that the world is going to be destroyed. Since I can’t do anything in my sleep, I need you two to protect in case anything happen in my sleep," I said.
"I see. Though I don’t think we will see anything useful about the cult since you’re mostly a village doctor, we can still be able to find anything useful. Like soone who will grow into a powerful force in the future, or any other things. Though if we do find anything about the Evil God, I will kick your ass because we could have finished everything earlier if you had just rember," Victoria said.
"Yeah. If there’s any clue about the cult leader at all, I also want to kick my own ass," I said.
"Then what about Sonia, Airy, and Breezy?" Shirley asked.
"Let them continue dreaming. I don’t think the spirits here will do anything on them while they’re under the illusion spell," I said.
In fact, the three of them were sleeping with happy expression on their faces.If the spirits didn’t look like children, and I can touch the ghost without worrying about exorcising her, I would have kicked them already.
