’Victoria. Tell Fabio that the other continent is near. It will take three days from where you are,’ I said to Victoria via telepathy.
’Three days? I guess we arrived right on ti then. Is it a continent or is it a huge island?’ Victoria asked.
’I run as high as possible and look at the land. It’s bigger than Andro. Does that count?’ I asked.
’Yes that counts. I’ll tell Fabio that we will arrive in three days. Continue scouting for that place to find a good place for us to stop,’ Victoria said.
I only saw the continent and not the beach where we should stop. So I need to do that now.
I’m riding on Ray so we can move around as fast as possible. That’s how I can see the continent from far above. In fact, we’re in space now. With Ray and I covered in Aura to protect ourselves.
It seems like this continent is bigger than ours. Much bigger. So it will still be hard to locate the cult here.
But I won’t give up. I still have centuries of lifespan after all. I can live a long life.
Though it’s still better to get rid of the cult as soon as possible. And I want to do it now.
On the west coast of the continent, it seems like it’s being heavily guarded. There are a lot of ships. But most of them are transport ships instead of fishing ships.
It’s like they knew that we will soday invade this continent from the west side. They must have prepared for it.
We can’t go there then. We have to move sowhere else.
’Victoria, tell Fabio to not be in a hurry. All the west coast of the continent is being heavily protected. And don’t go to the surface yet. Stay underwater. I’ll get the Crab People around the submarines before we get closer to the land,’ I said.
I didn’t receive any reply right away. Victoria must be relaying my ssage to Fabio.
’Roy, Fabio told that there’s a chance that the entire continent has been under the cult’s influence. Seems like invading them is our only choice. We’ll stay underwater for another week. In the anti, you and soone else need to look for a village or sowhere where the cult’s influence hasn’t reached. If you see a place with conflict ongoing, go there to see what happened. If it happened because of the cult, then go help the one that is fighting the cult,’ Fabio said.
Ah, so I need to find an ally here. A city is better. But since we ca from the ocean, it’s best if it’s sowhere in the coast. But that might be harder than finding a place far from the coast.
’Alright. I’ll return soon after I find an empty island I can transport you all to in case you can’t get there with submarines in ti,’ I said.
So I moved along the coast. Looking for the least protected coast and hopefully, a huge but empty island where we can build our base.
South or north? Which way should I go?
The northern area’s climate seems to be harsh. Even from the space, they’re all almost too white from the snow. I guess we should go south.
"Ray, let’s go south."
And so we run in the sky to the southern area of the continent. It will take a while because unlike the sky, the land is vast. We can go out of the sky to the space in a short ti, but to walk on Earth, we have to move for a long ti.
Yeah. The sky is surprisingly short. But it’s no place for ordinary living being to live.
Moving to the south rapidly, I still see a lot of people down there ready to intercept us in case we are seen. So I keep moving south until finally, I see that the coast is no longer being protected.
But it might be a trap to lead us there. So I keep moving until quite far from there. And I was right. Further south, there is a huge city with a lot of transport ship. Ready to send their master level mages to fight. So I keep moving further south.
Finally, I see a small fishing village. This ti, there are fishing boats instead of transport. Though there were other fishing boats before as well, this place seems safer.
’I found a fishing village. I’ll try to find an empty island nearby,’ I said to Victoria.
’Alright. We also started to move southeast from our original direction. We’re still far from them so we don’t have to worry about being caught. But you need to be careful,’ Victoria said.
’I won’t go to the fishing village right away. I’ll find an island and return to the submarines to discuss and bring soone with to the village later on,’ I said.
I haven’t found anyone in conflict. Seems like a peaceful place. But I still don’t know how much the cult’s influence has spread. I’ll be careful. And I need to bring soone careful with later.
After thirty minutes of galloping in the sky with Ray, I finally found an empty island. The island is covered with trees and there’s a lake in the middle of the island. And there’s no human or monster living there. Only animals.
Seems like a good place to build a base secretly. So I go there and mark the place with Blobbies before I returned to the submarine to et Fabio.
"You’re here? Good. Bring the other people in the other submarines here to start the discussion. Tell us everything you have discovered once everyone gathered," Fabio said.
I did as he said and told them all what I found.
"An island with a lake of fresh water without any humans or monsters? Have you checked the lake?" Fabio asked.
"Yes. There are fishes there and the lake is not too deep. There are other animals drinking from the water in the lake. I drank the water and it’s fine. No monsters inside. And just to be safe, I have put so elves there to grow so plants that can be used to purify the water. Though the elves said that the water was already fine, they still do it," I said.
"Is it safe in that island?" Fabio asked again.
"I think so. There are reefs underwater surrounding that island. Must be the reason why it’s hard for anyone to go there. Even if there are, it would only be water mages who can swim or wind mages who can fly to go there. But I don’t see any traces of people there at all. I’ll need to go there with soone to investigate thoroughly later," I said.
"I’ll go with him for the investigation of the island and to infiltrate the village."
That was Candy. She volunteered to be my partner in this mission.
She’s my lover and also a forr agent. She will do great. And we can also enjoy seeing things that we never see in our continent before.
"Alright. What about the fishing village?" Fabio asked.
"With the speed we usually have for the submarines, we can get there from that island in three hours. There’s no sign of churches at all. And the village is isolated. It’s being surrounded by cliffs so unless you are wind mages or soone who have great strength to be able to climb it, the only way in or out that place is by the sea. Though it seems like no one uses that place for trading or anything. Just the people of that village trying to survive. But I might be wrong," I said.
"It will be hard to bring centaurs there as well. Just be careful so that no one will find out that you’re from another continent," Fabio said.
"And be careful in case they speak another language. But since all cult mbers use the sa language as us, I doubt they use another language," Victoria warned .
"Alright. So, how will we infiltrate that place?" I asked.
"I have a plan," Candy said.
Then she suggested a brilliant idea. Sothing that I can use as well. So I prepared everything before we go there.
As for Daniel, even though he’s interested in coming, I refused him. But Candy said that it’s fine to bring him.
"It’s fine. We can say that I’m your wife and he’s your brother when we go there. Daniel is smart and he acts innocent most of the ti. Even though that’s how he usually is, he will make the villagers let down their guards with his innocence. As long as he promises that he will obey us, there won’t be any problem," Candy said.
I’m still worried though. Because he’s just an advanced level mage. If he’s a bit stronger, an expert level mage at least, then I won’t be as worried.
Well, I hope the plan will work. For now, we will investigate that island first. Infiltrating should be done later after we know that we can build a base in that island.
