Imperial City.

With an anxious expression, the captain of the city guard rushed into the hall, his voice flustered as he reported the latest developnt to Ji Wuhui.

Listening to the report, Ji Wuhui—who was always composed—couldn't help but reveal a slight fluctuation in his emotions.

His index finger tapped lightly against the armrest of his chair. His thick eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly, betraying his inner turmoil.

"You an the Palace Lord of Silver Moon Mansion has co to Nine Stars City in person?"

"Precisely, Your Majesty!" The captain nodded vigorously. "I saw it with my own eyes! He brought four others—all Pathseeker-realm cultivators!"

Sweat trickled down the captain's forehead, stinging his eyes, but he dared not move.

The sheer pressure radiating from Ji Wuhui was suffocating. Even though it wasn't directed at him, he could feel its weight pressing down on his chest.

Ji Wuhui felt a headache coming on.

He had anticipated that Silver Moon Mansion wouldn't let this matter go. After all, Luo Chuan had not only killed Chu Yunfei but also destroyed Chu Yangping's Soul Projection.

However, he hadn't expected their retaliation to co so quickly.

And worse—Chu Yangping had co himself.

"Five Pathseekers..." Ji Wuhui mused. "Silver Moon Mansion must be nearly empty at this point."

"Enough. You may go. I will handle this matter," Ji Wuhui waved his hand.

The captain exhaled sharply, finally able to breathe a little easier.

His Majesty already had a plan. That was all he needed to know.

"Yes, Your Majesty!" He bowed before retreating swiftly.

As soon as the captain left, Elder Bai appeared beside Ji Wuhui.

"What do you make of this situation?" Ji Wuhui asked.

Elder Bai narrowed his eyes.

"Chu Yangping will definitely co straight to the Imperial Palace."

Ji Wuhui nodded grimly.

Chu Yangping had no way of knowing who had killed his son.

A Pathseeker's Soul Projection could not transfer information once destroyed.

At most, Chu Yangping could pinpoint where it had happened.

But this was Nine Stars City—the Imperial Capital.

If anyone in the city knew about the incident, it would be Ji Wuhui.

So Chu Yangping was coming to him.

Ji Wuhui sighed.

"Five Pathseekers. I don't fear them... but if we truly clash, Nine Stars City may not survive."

A battle at the Pathseeker level could devastate an area spanning hundreds of miles.

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it world-shattering.

And with the five of them already inside the city, there was no point in activating the defensive formation.

As for telling Chu Yangping that Luo Chuan was the one who killed Chu Yunfei?

Ji Wuhui wouldn't even dare consider it.

If the Origin Mall's owner found out he had been betrayed...

The consequences would be far worse than facing five Pathseekers.

No one in the cultivation world despised anything more than a snitch.

Elder Bai stroked his beard. "Why don't we just... ask the boss what to do?"

Ji Wuhui's eyes lit up.

"Brilliant!"

If the boss made the decision, he wouldn't have to.

A relieved smile crossed Ji Wuhui's face.

He reached down and pulled out a jade pendant from his waist.

A special artifact—one capable of transmitting ssages.

Closing his eyes, he channeled his spiritual sense into it. The jade pendant shone with a soft glow...

Origin Mall.

Luo Chuan was enjoying the warmth of the sun when he suddenly felt a disturbance in his system space.

He opened it and found a jade pendant glowing faintly.

"Huh?" Luo Chuan blinked. "What's this?"

A mont later, realization dawned.

"Oh... right."

He rembered.

Ji Wuhui had given him this pendant when they first t.

At the ti, Luo Chuan hadn't cared.

He had refused it at first, but Ji Wuhui had been so desperate—even kneeling and begging—that Luo Chuan finally accepted it just to shut him up.

Apparently, it could be used to send ssages.

But Luo Chuan had never bothered with it.

He had just tossed it into his system space and forgotten about it.

And now... Ji Wuhui was actually contacting him?

"What does that guy want now?" Luo Chuan muttered, frowning slightly.
