Chapter 62: Only One Sun in the Sky!

"So, Emperor Shaohao was an alien, and the people in the nation of Shaohao were called the Qingyang Clan, aning they were humans ruled by an alien, right?" Lin Li asked.

Huang Ji shook his head. "I don’t know if Emperor Shaohao was an alien... but the Divine Shaohao was definitely a robot. Because the term shen refers to electrically powered machines."

Lin Li was stunned. How could Huang Ji possibly know that?

Huang Ji didn’t know how to explain it either. Should he just tell Lin Li that he could sense it?

In the Shan Hai Jing, the word shen doesn’t carry the modern aning of "deity." Instead, hao roughly ans a solar deity—a being in the sky that shines like the sun, referred to as "heavenly beings."

Heavenly beings were called hao, mountain beings were called xian (immortals). If soone was both worshipped as a deity and a political leader, they were referred to as an emperor.

As for shen in the Shan Hai Jing, it referred to tools.

After pondering for a mont, Huang Ji explained, "The Shan Hai Jing contains many categories: people, mountains, beasts, birds, fish... and gods (shen)."

"The term shen doesn’t an what we currently understand as gods. In oracle bone script, shen was also the character for electricity (dian), depicted as a jagged electric arc. It wasn’t until the Zhou Dynasty that a sacrificial altar was added beside the character to create the modern form of shen."

"There is no ‘objects’ category in the Shan Hai Jing. There's no ntion of having tools. Why, despite describing so many objects, is there no category for ‘tools’ or ‘instrunts’?"

"In fact, there is—it’s just written as having gods (you shen), which ans ‘having electricity’ or ‘electrically powered devices.’"

Hearing this, Lin Li was utterly shocked.

The Shan Hai Jing ntioned you shen (having gods) at least a hundred tis. Was it really referring to you dian (having electricity)?

"This... okay, but wasn’t Zhuanxu raised by Shaohao? Why did he destroy Shaohao’s nation?" Lin Li asked.

Huang Ji replied, "Shaohao nurtured Emperor Zhuanxu, and he abandoned his qin and se (musical instrunts). This passage refers to Zhuanxu studying abroad in the nation of Shaohao."

"If you insist on saying he was raised by them, that’s fine too, because Zhuanxu grew up in the nation of Shaohao, starting his music studies there when he was very young."

"Huh?" Lin Li was dumbfounded.

"Studying abroad... to learn music? Then why did he abandon it?" he asked.

Huang Ji gave him a look that said, "How can you not figure this out? " and replied, "Obviously, because Zhuanxu gradually realized after arriving there that music couldn’t save humanity!"

Lin Li rubbed his forehead, unable to believe this interpretation.

But considering Huang Ji’s earlier descriptions of Shaohao’s nation as a region ruled by aliens, it made sense that Zhuanxu, as a "native," whether he studied abroad or was raised there, would realize after witnessing the advanced technology of Shaohao’s nation that music was useless. If Zhuanxu were ambitious, he would naturally understand that he needed to focus on learning their technology instead.

Huang Ji said, "Beyond the southeastern sea, between the Gan Waters, there was the nation of Xihe. There was a woman nad Xihe, wife of Emperor Jun, who gave birth to ten suns. These suns bathed in the Gan Abyss."

"The legendary Ten Suns on the Fusang Tree was located in the seas, not far from the nation of Shaohao."

"From the nation of Shaohao, one could see the massive Solar God Tree extending its ‘branches.’ Nine glowing objects would fly in and out, sweeping over the land or diving into the sea… Finally, they would return to the God Tree, docking on the platforms that extended from the branches. When their glow faded, people could see they were actually giant black birds."

"This is the tree standing in the sea, with nine suns coming and going, all carried by black birds. One sun resides on the upper branch, while the nine others dwell on the lower branches."

Lin Li imagined this scene and shivered.

If Shan Hai Jing was describing real events, then it was a massive landing platform.

The one sun on the upper branch was undoubtedly a star, the true sun. It was outside the atmosphere, which is why the ancients described it as unique and special, residing on the highest branch.

The others were less stable and moved wherever they pleased, sotis flying out all at once.

Huang Ji said, "Zhuanxu was born in Ruoshui Plain, now known as Sanxingdui, a civilization renowned for its advanced bronze technology. But when he traveled to the nation of Shaohao out of admiration and saw the Solar God Tree, he finally understood what the term hao ant, what the solar deities truly were."

"The era he lived in was one where aliens operated openly—a ti known as the Era of Ten Suns."

"I don’t know how Zhuanxu ultimately achieved the monuntal feat of severing the connection between heaven and earth! He drove away the heavenly beings who road freely among humans, ensuring they could never descend again."

"Humans were left to their own devices, and our civilization was finally able to develop independently."

Lin Li swallowed hard, feeling a chill as he thought about it.

"Are we truly independent now?" Lin Li asked. "The era after severing the connection… is the world we live in now."

"We don’t know where the aliens are because they’re no longer allowed to descend. But are they just watching us from the stars, using the Illuminati to intervene?"

"Is the Illuminati the modern version of the Qingyang Clan and Xihe Clan?"

Huang Ji frowned and replied, "Yes. And the key question is: how did Zhuanxu manage it?"

Lin Li was drawn into deep thought. He held the Shan Hai Jing tightly, realizing how valuable this book truly was.

"Big bro, you said Zhuanxu studied in Shaohao’s nation. He must’ve realized the need to resist and started learning their technology. In the end, he must’ve developed enough to fight the aliens!"

Lin Li was getting excited, marveling at the ancestors' brilliance in driving away aliens.

However, Huang Ji coldly replied, "There was no fight. Zhuanxu did learn a few things and gained so understanding of science, but that was the extent of it. He absolutely didn’t develop to the point where he could wage war against aliens."

This, Huang Ji could confirm this, because he knew that during the war for supremacy between Zhuanxu’s clan and the Gonggong Clan, they were still using bronze weapons.

"Don’t think that our ancestors’ civilization was highly advanced. Anyway, let’s set aside how Zhuanxu managed to drive away the aliens and force them to retreat from the stage to work behind the scenes."

"In any case, Zhuanxu defeating the nation of Shaohao doesn’t necessarily an he defeated aliens. That’s why I said Emperor Shaohao may not have been an alien. Zhuanxu might have just overthrown so humans," Huang Ji said.

"The Qingyang Clan and the Xihe Clan, as their nas suggest, one ans ‘vibrant morning sun,’ and the other ans ‘gentle sunlight.’ These clans were essentially equivalent to the Illuminati of that era."

"It’s like this," Huang Ji continued, "imagine we go to the United States to learn technology, then surpass the U.S. and destroy it. So mbers of the Illuminati, along with their advanced weapons, flee from North Arica to western Africa. Does that an we defeated aliens?"

This analogy was vivid. Zhuanxu defeating Shaohao’s nation was likely a similar situation.

Even the nas Qingyang and Xihe sounded like sothing the Illuminati would use—they could very well have been part of the sa belief system.

Lin Li had an epiphany. "So Zhuanxu realized the need to resist, learned technology, and wiped out the Qingyang Clan, the Xihe Clan, and other prehistoric Illuminati-like collaborators?"

"The remnants of the Qingyang Clan fled west with the ‘Divine Shaohao’ given to them by the aliens. Thus, they transford from the ‘Morning Sun’ to the ‘Evening Sun,’ right?"

Huang Ji picked up where he left off. "And the group that defeated them, Zhuanxu’s people, undoubtedly beca the ‘Supre Sun.’ The na ‘Gaoyang Clan’ began to spread from this."

"Zhuanxu, Emperor Gaoyang, ended the Era of Ten Suns, banished the nine suns... and declared that only one sun was allowed in the sky!"

Lin Li got goosebumps. This was incredible. How did a leader from the Bronze Age achieve such a feat? Even if Zhuanxu didn’t directly defeat aliens, he at least defeated Shaohao’s nation, which possessed much greater knowledge and bronze-age technological superiority.

He was the one who ensured there would only be one sun in the sky! He was the reason Earth had reached this stage, with aliens now deliberately keeping themselves hidden. Although no one knew how he accomplished it, the favorable situation the ssiah faces today is a legacy of Zhuanxu’s achievent.

By comparison, Lin Li thought, the so-called ssiah of today, with their awareness of the Illuminati and aliens, were still being suppressed and even despaired, claiming the enemy was invincible.

What a joke… Zhuanxu had already overco a similar scenario back in the Bronze Age!

Huang Ji continued, "You might wonder why Zhuanxu, after banishing the sun cults, would call himself the Gaoyang Clan. Actually, that na was given by his defeated enemies to define him."

"Because they had been defeated, this was their stubborn way of rationalizing their loss: they hadn’t been defeated by so random people, but by the Supre Sun. Only a Gaoyang could defeat the Qingyang Clan, turning them into the Evening Sun."

Lin Li chuckled. This logic was like assimilating your conqueror into your own frawork of beliefs.

He was excited, replaying Huang Ji’s explanation and interpretation of the Shan Hai Jing. This interpretation was based on the premise of aliens and the Illuminati existing, and it made the ancient text seem even more valuable.

"Wait…" Lin Li suddenly froze. Sothing about this struck a chord, and the more he thought about it, the more familiar it seed.

The Supre Sun, the Morning Sun, the Evening Sun.

Wasn’t this exactly like the three suns from Egyptian mythology?

"The Egyptian myth?" Lin Li muttered.

Huang Ji frowned. "Huh? What Egyptian myth?"

But even as he asked, he was already reading Lin Li’s thoughts and learning about the myth.

Lin Li smirked, finally encountering sothing Huang Ji wasn’t familiar with. It seed Huang Ji didn’t know much about the myths from around the world.

He explained, "In early Egyptian mythology, there were three solar deities."

"The Morning Sun was Khepri. The Noon Sun was Ra. And the Evening Sun was Atum."

"Of course, later there were Amun and Aten, but those ca later during the Pharaohs’ religious reforms."

"Anyway, in early ancient Egypt, different regions worshiped different deities. The primary deity was the god of chaos, followed by sky and earth gods. Sun worship only occupied a small area."

"Among the solar deities, Atum, the god of the evening sun, was the most widely worshipped. Others, like Ra, were lesser-known solar gods with fewer followers than even Sobek, the crocodile god."

"However, about 4,500 years ago, the sun worship suddenly rose to prominence. It rged all the solar deities into a composite god centered around Ra. For example, Atum beca Ra’s evening form, and Khepri beca Ra’s morning form. Thus, Ra beca the only solar god, elevated to the supre position among gods."

"In short, the myth says Ra defeated the morning sun god and then fused with the evening sun god to beco ‘Ra-Atum.’"

"For so reason, this narrative was very appealing. Ra not only unified all the solar gods but eventually replaced the older creator god myths, becoming the supre deity worshiped throughout Egypt."

"Are you listening, big bro?" Lin Li asked, noticing Huang Ji was unusually quiet.

Lin Li was speaking passionately but noticed Huang Ji staring blankly at the Shan Hai Jing. Suddenly, Huang Ji spoke seriously, "So that's it. The so-called Mount Changliu is in Egypt?"

"The current Illuminati is very likely the remnant of the Qingyang Clan that wasn’t wiped out. They wandered westward, surviving in various forms until now. Over ti, as certain secrets were rediscovered, they evolved into the organization we see today."

"This organization likely only beca prominent in the last two or three centuries," Huang Ji continued. "I feel that the aliens didn’t provide them with much help—probably out of disdain. After all, if the so-called ‘human collaborators’, the traitors to humanity, had consistent alien support, they wouldn’t have been defeated by Zhuanxu in the first place!"

"And now, they’re just making a coback, regaining strength in the Aricas—‘the East of the West’—but they’ve only risen to prominence relatively recently."

Lin Li was stunned. He had been talking about Egyptian mythology, yet sohow Huang Ji had veered into discussing the Illuminati.

Realizing sothing, Lin Li exclaid, "Are you saying that the defeated Qingyang Clan fled to Egypt with the Divine Shaohao, continued in various forms, and ultimately beca the Illuminati?"

Huang Ji replied, "They’ve rely carried forward the cultural core."

"Before Zhuanxu severed the connection between heaven and earth, communication between different regions of the world wasn’t difficult because ‘electric devices’ were everywhere."

"So in Egypt, the story of the Qingyang Clan’s defeat would have already spread. Fortunately, thanks to having the high-tech Divine Shaohao, they managed to establish themselves locally. However, they ca to be known as the Evening Sun God, Atum."

"Given the nature of the Qingyang Clan, they would have continued promoting sun worship, or the hao belief. Their totems wouldn’t have changed much either, still depicting bird-headed humanoid figures."

"They would have reinterpreted their defeat by claiming: ‘The Morning Sun was defeated by the Noon Sun and beca the Evening Sun. But they are all one and the sa, different manifestations of the sa being.’ In their eyes, the Sun God remained the greatest!"

"Not long after, Zhuanxu severed the connection between heaven and earth, and the heavenly beings disappeared entirely. Thus, the Sun God faith rose to prominence, replacing the older creator gods to beco the supre deity. After all, they had a bird-headed humanoid robot."

Lin Li pondered over this. The Qingyang Clan brought the bird-man totem and sun worship with them… Khepri, Ra, and Atum were all bird-headed humanoids, just like Shaohao.

"But the Illuminati doesn’t have a bird totem," Lin Li said.

"What is the Illuminati’s symbol?" Huang Ji asked.

"The All-Seeing Eye. Old Wang told

it looks a bit like the Millennium Eye from Yu-Gi-Oh!... Oh, right! Its original form is the Eye of Horus from Egyptian mythology! Horus has a bird head and humanoid body, almost identical to the Sun God," Lin Li exclaid.

Huang Ji took a deep breath. The na Zhuanxu (Ji Ra) had already made him suspect that these ideas—along with secrets exclusive to the "human collaborators"—had been passed down, even if the original people were long gone.

Finally, Huang Ji explained to Lin Li, "From the Qingyang Clan to the Illuminati, this 4,500-year-long history wasn’t continuous. There were periods of decline and extinction, but the cultural core was repeatedly inherited by new groups, only to fade away and then be rediscovered again."

"From clan to organization, they couldn’t have perfectly preserved the beliefs and cultural forms of the Shaohao era. The world is always changing and evolving."

"At most, we can say that the shared characteristic of ‘collaborator culture’ is a group of chosen individuals constantly trying to contact aliens, striving to restore communication with the heavenly beings, and yearning for the return of the ancient gods. Add to this their spiritual cores—sun worship, light, and bird-n."

"Think carefully. What else fits this pattern?"

"Once you realize it, you’ll understand. From the nation of Shaohao, to ancient Egypt, to their exodus, to wherever they wandered next—they’ve gone through cycles of prosperity, exile, extinction, and rebirth. One group replaces another, adapting to each era, environnt, and cultural shift, until we reach today’s Illuminati."

"Four thousand years of upheaval… how many tis has their story been rewritten? It’s practically a rollercoaster ride through religious history."
