Chapter 134: Masked Moon Peak's Formation Token

Moon Gaze Peak.

Outside the protective barrier, the churning clouds and mist parted silently, opening a passage to the summit.

Li ng descended from the sky, his robes fluttering with easy grace as he landed gently in the courtyard. The dark thunderclouds that had plagued the peak recently were gone—a dium-grade Lightning Attraction Talisman had finally exhausted its power. Junior Sister Yao was nowhere to be seen.

He swept his Divine Sense over the pavilion. Both Leng Yixue and Leng Yiyue were inside.

Satisfied, Li ng entered the pavilion and headed straight for the Artifact Refining Room.

He sat cross-legged on a ditation cushion. With a casual flick of his sleeve, a massive log, three ters long and as thick as a water bucket, flew out from his Sword Nurturing Gourd. It hovered silently above his head.

The wood was a deep, lustrous brown, exuding a dense, ancient aura of heaven and earth. A strange, clearing fragrance instantly filled the room—just one breath of it felt like a ntal purification.

This was the Ten-Thousand-Year Soul-Nourishing Wood, a treasure extorted from Han Li.

Li ng ford rapid hand seals.

"Five Elents Li-Fire Array, rise!"

Five golden talismans shot out from his gourd, embedding themselves into the floor at precise cardinal points. Li ng’s body glowed with five-colored spiritual light as the formation activated. Streams of elental fire erupted from the cores, converging into a vortex of fla above his head that enveloped the ancient wood.

Li ng placed his hands on his knees and closed his eyes.

Refining this wood into a usable artifact would be a marathon, not a sprint. It would take years of consistent effort.

How did Senior Han's Master even obtain this? Li ng wondered. Such a treasure likely only exists in the Void Hall...

Three hours later, Li ng opened his eyes. Ti had flown; the sky outside was already dark. He replenished the formation with nearly a hundred Spirit Stones, ensuring the fires would burn through the night, then left the room.

He went upstairs to the guest bedroom.

Click.

As he pushed the door open, he found Leng Yixue sitting cross-legged on the bed, deep in ditation. The dicinal fragrance wafting from her master's bath was potent enough to aid cultivation simply by proximity.

The sound of the door roused her. She looked at Li ng, a trace of awkward hesitation flashing in her cold eyes.

"Junior Brother Li... may I join you in treating Master's wife?"

Leng Yiyue's Sea of Consciousness was sealed shut. Breaking through required delicate, persistent force. If Li ng could do it, she reasoned, surely she—a blood relative—could help.

Li ng checked Leng Yiyue's condition in the tub. Her complexion was rosy and healthy; apart from the coma, she looked perfectly normal.

He turned to Leng Yixue. "Senior Sister, have you cultivated a soul-strengthening technique like the 'Spirit Refining Art'?"

Leng Yixue shook her head. "Soul Nourishing Pills are too precious. I have never had the resources to cultivate such a technique."

Li ng’s gaze lingered on her curvaceous figure for a split second before returning to the woman in the tub.

"Senior Sister is a blood relative. Your spiritual resonance might indeed be more effective," Li ng mused. He smiled warmly. "Very well. From today on, you will cultivate the 'Spirit Refining Art'. Senior Sister, please."

As he spoke, Li ng began to disrobe.

Leng Yixue stared blankly as he stripped down to a pair of large underpants.

Is... is this how he treats Master's wife every night?

Li ng caught her stare and offered a reassuring smile. He stepped into the scalding dicinal bath, sighing contentedly as the heat washed over him. He sat cross-legged, the picture of propriety despite his state of undress.

"Senior Sister? Aren't you coming in?"

Leng Yixue stood frozen by the bed, her expression fluctuating between embarrassnt and resolve. Finally, she gritted her teeth. Without a word, she shed her outer robes, stepping into the tub clad only in thin, translucent undergarnts.

Li ng flicked his sleeve, sending a jade slip floating toward her.

"This is the 'Spirit Refining Art'," he explained as she caught it.

Before she could speak, a pill bottle drifted over. Her Divine Sense swept it, and her eyes widened in shock.

"Junior Brother, this... a Second-Grade, High-Quality Soul Nourishing Pill? It's too precious!"

Li ng ignored her protest. He reached out and pulled the unconscious Leng Yiyue into his embrace, pressing his forehead against hers to align their Yintang acupoints. The posture was undeniably intimate, yet his expression remained focused and clinical.

"Hurry up and cultivate," he ordered gently. "The dicinal bath nurtures the soul. Combined with the pill, you need to reach the fifth layer of the first stage to be of any help to ."

Leng Yixue looked at him with a complex expression. The debt she owed this man was becoming insurmountable.

She swallowed the pill, put away the slip, and closed her eyes, entering a ditative trance.

Soon, the tub glowed with a rich, five-colored light as they both cultivated.

The night passed in silence.

The next morning, Li ng opened his eyes. Leng Yixue was still deep in ditation.

Li ng couldn't help but appreciate the view. The wet, thin undergarnts clung to her snow-white skin, revealing the stunning curves beneath. It was a landscape worthy of admiration.

A pity I am a gentleman, he thought with a self-deprecating smile. One look is enough.

He gently moved Leng Yiyue aside and climbed out of the tub. After dressing, he left the room quietly, closing the door behind him.

Downstairs, he checked the Artifact Refining Room, added more Spirit Stones to the array, and observed the Soul Nourishing Wood for a while before stepping out into the morning air.

"Senior Brother, you're awake!"

In the courtyard, Yao Ning was finishing her morning exercises. She retracted her fist, exhaling a breath of turbid air, and walked over with a spring in her step.

"Senior Brother, here!"

She flicked her wrist, tossing a token toward him.

Li ng caught it, his eyebrows raising as he inspected the object.

"This... this is the Formation Token for Masked Moon Peak?"

He sat down at the tea table, bewildered. With a wave of his hand, a tea set appeared.

"Junior Sister, what is the aning of this?"

Yao Ning grabbed a cup, downed it in one gulp, and shrugged.

"I don't know. Master just told to give it to you!"
