Shun left his house and began his morning run. After running 20 kiloters every day for almost a year, the boy had grown accustod to it. While it wasn't an easy task, Shun had learned to enjoy this ti.

After nearly two hours of running, Shun returned ho and headed straight to the bathroom for a shower. Once he was done, he put on his school uniform, packed his backpack, and went downstairs to the kitchen to have breakfast.

Shun ate his breakfast while chatting excitedly with his father. According to what his dad said, he would be able to watch Shun in the Kanto tournant, which made Shun quite happy.

He then said goodbye to his parents and sisters and left the house, heading towards Shoto Junior High School. Upon arriving at school, Shun went straight to the third-year floor and into his classroom. As usual, he was the first to arrive and went to his seat in the back by the window.

A few minutes later, Ren, the young samurai, arrived and sat in front of Shun.

"Hey man! What did you do over the weekend?" - Ren asked excitedly as he turned around. Shun noticed his friend's excitent and smiled. Clearly, Ren had done sothing interesting over the weekend and was eager for Shun to ask about it after answering his question.

"Nothing much. How about you? Did you do sothing interesting?" - Shun asked with a grin. Since his friend was clearly so eager and animated, there was no reason not to ask.

"You won't believe this, man! I went on a date with a girl!" - Ren exclaid excitedly.

"You're right, I don't believe it." - Shun replied with a straight face. Not for a single mont did he believe Ren's words. After all, the young samurai was even worse than him when it ca to girls.

"What? I'm serious, man!" - Ren said, a little offended by how seriously Shun dismissed his claim.

"Uh-huh, sure," - Shun nodded, but it was obvious he still didn't believe his friend.

"You—" - Ren started, feeling offended, but before he could say anything further, Kenta entered through the door, catching both Shun and Ren's attention.

"Hey Kenta, do you believe I went on a date with a girl this weekend?" - Ren imdiately asked as Kenta approached.

"No." - Kenta said calmly, looking at Ren as if he were a clown, before sitting down next to Shun.

Ren stood there, indignant, staring at his two friends who didn't trust him. Frustrated, he sat down in his seat, muttering and complaining. He was telling the truth, but no one believed him.

Class began, but once again, Shun couldn't focus much since his mind was preoccupied with his new arena mission. Fortunately, the elixirs that enhanced Shun's ntal abilities also helped him perform slightly better in school. Otherwise, Shun would have serious trouble passing the year.

The classes flew by quickly, but Shun couldn't help but notice that during the breaks, so other students kept glancing in his, Ren's, and Kenta's direction, whispering to each other. Shun found it odd, and after it happened a few tis, he started getting annoyed, thinking they were being made fun of.

Determined to put an end to it after school, Shun didn't get the chance because as soon as the final bell rang and the teacher left the room, a group of girls approached Shun, Kenta, and Ren.

"Excuse , you two are mbers of the baseball team, right?" - A pretty girl with black hair asked timidly, while the other girls eagerly looked at Shun and Ren, completely ignoring Kenta.

"Haha, yes! I'm the starting second baseman, and my friend here is one of our pitchers!" - Ren, oddly unfazed or nervous, spoke proudly, throwing an arm around Shun's shoulders.

"Huh?" - Shun murmured, shocked, unable to comprehend why so many girls were surrounding him or why Ren seed so at ease. Before he could say anything, the black-haired girl spoke again.

"Oh, that's so cool! I heard our baseball team is amazing! Do you want to go to karaoke with us today?" - The black-haired girl blushed slightly, but her invitation was so direct that Shun found it hard to believe she was genuinely embarrassed.

"Oh, of course!" - Ren responded enthusiastically without even thinking. The young samurai was practically drooling at the thought of going out with so many pretty girls. Unfortunately for him, a samurai's joy is often short-lived.

"Sorry, girls, we have practice today." - Kenta interrupted as he made his way into the circle of girls, speaking in an irritated tone while pulling Shun and Ren out. As the team captain, this was Kenta's job, but it was undeniable that he was a little annoyed at not being invited too.

Even though he had a girlfriend and had no intention of going out with other girls, it was still irritating to be so blatantly ignored by a group of girls, especially when the person they chose instead was the young samurai, Ren.

"Aw, that's too bad! Maybe we can go out another ti then!" - The black-haired girl spoke in disappointnt but flashed a beautiful smile at Shun and Ren, who were being dragged away by Kenta.

"We'll be cheering for you at the Kanto tournant! Good luck!" - Another girl said shyly, glancing at Shun.

Shun watched the scene in shock, still unable to process what was happening. Because of this, he let himself be dragged along by Kenta as they left the classroom. Unlike Shun, however, Ren was almost fighting Kenta, trying to break free from his friend's grip.

"You bastard, let go! This could be my only chance!" - Ren complained, looking at Kenta with a face that was on the verge of tears. The young samurai clearly understood his unfortunate situation with girls and knew he shouldn't waste the few opportunities he got.

"Cut the nonsense, we need to practice!" - Kenta replied, annoyed, as he pulled Ren along toward the door.

Kenta didn't release his friends until they reached the door, but as soon as they stepped out, he froze in his tracks, his face turning pale.

"Huh? Shimizu?" - Kenta stamred nervously, staring at his girlfriend standing in front of him with an expression of pure anger.
