Yu Zhi had no way to deal with him, so she simply shifted her attention to the hotpot.

She picked up a piece of food and was just about to put it in her mouth when the man beside her leaned in and ate it straight off her chopsticks before she could.

"So sweet," Shi Wei praised ambiguously as he chewed.

His gaze wandered from the chopsticks to her flushed lips, and a faint smile flickered in his deep, dark eyes.

Yu Zhi's porcelain-white cheeks were instantly painted with an enticing blush. Her teeth lightly bit down on the chopsticks in her hand. When she heard the faint chuckle near her ear, she suddenly snapped back to reality.

She hurriedly set the chopsticks down on the table, her hands hanging awkwardly by her knees, fingers curled like a child caught doing sothing wrong, head nearly lowered to the ground.

"Zhizhi, not eating anymore?" Shi Wei teased, his lips tilted in a mischievous smile, intentionally brushing his breath near her ear.

Only when the blush on her cheeks spread all the way to the base of her ears did he finally back off a bit.

Yu Zhi shook her head, replying softly, "I'm full."

Throughout her response, her head remained bowed and never lifted.

"Have a little more, be good," Shi Wei murmured gently, leaning down close to her cheek, while his large hand on her waist gently caressed the tender skin through the fabric.

Yu Zhi pressed down on his hand, her voice soft and flustered: "Let go first."

Her long, fluttery lashes concealed the emotions in her eyes, yet could not quite hide her embarrassnt.

"Alright." The little girl had learned to negotiate now.

Shi Wei, afraid she might go hungry, reluctantly withdrew his hand despite his unwillingness.

The mont his hand left, he could clearly feel the other's quiet sigh of relief.

Shi Wei raised his eyebrows slightly, his distinctively handso face showing no trace of other emotions, returning to his usual air of nobility as he straightened back up.

Yu Zhi stared at the chopsticks on the table, hesitating for a long while before picking them up again.

As she swirled food in the hotpot, she stole glances at him out of the corner of her eye, wanting to see his reaction.

However, he kept his head down, focused on eating seriously, as if entirely unaware of her gaze.

Yu Zhi pursed her lips, clearly distracted, though she couldn't quite identify the reason for her unease.

Shi Wei, who caught every expression on her face, squinted slightly and curved his lips into a satisfied smile.

After the al, the group gathered around the coffee table, chatting idly without much direction.

Shi Wei maintained a distance from the young woman that was neither too distant nor overly close, his hands impeccably restrained, not reaching for her again.

His restraint only made Yu Zhi feel out of sorts—she was the one who had asked him to stop touching her, yet now she felt an inexplicable discomfort inside.

Yu Zhi took a deep breath, holding a glass cup in both hands, attentively listening to their conversation, if only to avoid overthinking.

"I've got a competition next month, are you all coming to watch?" Jin Yunzhi casually asked while pulling a bag of chips from the snacks Xu Fan had brought.

As he bit into it with a crunch, the crumbs scattered across his shirt.

Noticing this, Xu Fan leaned in to brush the crumbs off him and placed the trash bin by his side: "Is it with the sa team as last ti?"

Jin Yunzhi shook his head, munching on the chips: "This ti it's dostic."

"What day?"

"The 15th, 8 p.m.," Jin Yunzhi replied, then once again asked everyone, "Are you coming?"

Xu Linchuan glanced at him: "Do I even have a choice?"

If he didn't agree, this brat would undoubtedly nag for hours. It'd be easier for him to just hand out the tickets upfront rather than go through this routine to feel satisfied.

Ignoring Xu Linchuan, Jin Yunzhi turned his gaze toward Yu Zhi: "And you, Miss?"

The change in address made Yu Zhi pause. She checked the calendar on her phone, the corners of her lips lifting slightly: "Sure."

"Perfect." Jin Yunzhi handed her an unopened bag of snacks. "You've never seen a live match before, right?"

Yu Zhi took it: "No."

"Then when I win the trophy, I'll let you touch it!"

"Touch the trophy?"

"Yeah, others couldn't even dream of touching it!" Jin Yunzhi raised his chin proudly.

Anyone familiar with his history knew just how much the trophy ant to him.

Most wouldn't even get the chance to lay their eyes on it, let alone touch it.

Watching his slightly haughty deanor, Yu Zhi couldn't help but curl her lips into a smile: "Alright."

Seeing her agree, Jin Yunzhi imdiately pulled out entrance tickets he'd long prepared, handing hers to her first, before distributing them to the rest of the group.

When it was Xu Linchuan's turn, Jin Yunzhi took out one extra ticket: "If that crazy woman wants to go, you can give this to her."

"Oh?" Xu Linchuan raised the ticket, looking it over. "I thought you'd forgotten about her."

"Don't get any ideas. I'm just giving her the chance to witness the brilliance of this master!"

"You—" Xu Linchuan was about to tease him when a stern, unmistakable gaze locked onto him.

Turning his head, he found himself eting Xu Fan's warning-filled eyes.

"What?" Jin Yunzhi puffed his cheeks in confusion, looking at him.

Xu Linchuan glanced at Xu Fan, coughed lightly, and muttered hurriedly: "Never mind, I wanted to praise you."

"Oh, then go ahead and praise now."

"..."

Noticing the hint of affectionate indulgence in Xu Fan's gaze toward Jin Yunzhi, Yu Zhi raised her brows slightly.

While she kept her eyes on Xu Fan, the vinegar jar beside her toppled over completely.

Suppressing a wave of irritation in his chest, Shi Wei spoke indifferently: "Xu Fan, I need to ask you sothing."

He stood up, gesturing slightly with his chin toward the stairs before walking off.

As soon as the two headed upstairs, Xu Linchuan couldn't sit still: "I'm gonna check on them." With those words, he hurriedly ran after them.

The room fell silent for a mont. Yu Zhi sipped her water, paused for a few seconds, then turned to Jin Yunzhi: "Do you want to watch a movie?"

"Yes!" Jin Yunzhi's eyes lit up, and he quickly scooted over with his bag of snacks, settling beside her: "Where are we watching?"

Two minutes later, Yu Zhi was sitting cross-legged on the floor holding her laptop, while Jin Yunzhi sat beside her. The two carefully browsed before settling on a highly-rated horror film.

As the opening credits played, Jin Yunzhi silently scooted a bit closer to her, hugging his knees and putting on a serious face.

"Are you scared?" Yu Zhi tilted her head to look at him.

"Not at all!" Jin Yunzhi imdiately refuted, "I just feel a little cold."

Yu Zhi: "..."

She checked the temperature in the room and handed him a small blanket from the sofa.

Though ard with the small blanket, Jin Yunzhi still felt a little uneasy in his heart. He edged closer again, seeking a trace of comfort.
