At this mont, he still didn't forget to cradle that thermos container protectively in his arms.

"Co here." Shi Wei flexed his wrist, his gaze sharp and sowhat nacing.

"N-no, I won't co over. Boss, I'm really sorry, please forgive !"

Sufficiently cowed, Chen Cai had completely forgotten that he was once skilled in combat.

"I don't want to repeat myself—"

Before he could finish his sentence, the door was pushed open.

"Are you exercising?" Yu Zhi glanced at the scene inside the room, stopping at the entrance, hesitating to step in.

"Ahem." Shi Wei withdrew his earlier movent and straightened himself. When his eyes t hers, his gaze softened unconsciously.

He walked toward her, took hold of her wrist, and led her to the sofa. "Sit for a bit."

Yu Zhi looked down, her eyes landing on his distinctly jointed long fingers. She blinked, feeling slightly awkward, and gently pulled her hand back.

Lowering her head, she began to take out small items from the plastic bag she held in her other hand, one by one, placing them on the table.

As her soft touch slipped away, Shi Wei felt a hint of displeasure. But when his gaze fell on the single breakfast portion on the table, a warmth surged within him.

Sitting beside her, he deliberately asked, "These are...?"

"I bought them for you."

Yu Zhi admitted openly, stuffing the chopsticks into his palm and pointing at the stead buns. "Try them—they're pretty good."

"Did you eat?"

Shi Wei rubbed the chopsticks lightly, suppressing the joyful excitent bubbling inside him.

On the surface, he appeared calm and collected, revealing no trace of his inner thoughts.

Yu Zhi nodded. "Hurry up and eat; they'll get cold soon."

Standing nearby without the slightest trace of presence, Chen Cai followed the aroma, inching closer to the two of them.

He cast several longing glances at the items on the table and silently swallowed his saliva.

The sound of his gulp caught Yu Zhi's attention. She furrowed her brows slightly, annoyed. "Sorry, I didn't know you were here..."

"It's no problem." Chen Cai quickly waved his hand and smiled sheepishly. "You don't need to be so polite with ."

At that mont, a death glare shot toward him, scaring Chen Cai into a shiver.

As soon as he turned his head, he was t with bottomless dark eyes carrying a hint of warning.

"Chen Cai, anything you need?" Shi Wei casually jabbed his chopsticks into a stead bun.

"N-no, nothing..." Chen Cai couldn't shake the feeling that if he stayed any longer, Shi Wei might jab those chopsticks into him instead.

Driven by survival instinct, he muttered the quickest farewell he could manage, clutching his thermos container and bolted out of the terrifying room without looking back.

With the oversized third wheel finally gone, Shi Wei's mood significantly improved, even feeling a better appetite.

After eating two stead buns, he picked up the egg. Just as he was about to peel it, he paused as if struck by a thought.

"What's wrong?" His hesitant expression piqued Yu Zhi's curiosity.

She hadn't expected that her question would play right into his hands.

Shi Wei raised his slightly bruised hand, lowering his gaze. "My hand hurts a bit, I can't move it."

It was his first ti employing such a trick to earn sympathy from soone. Fearing that his acting might be too clumsy, he avoided eting her eyes entirely.

Yu Zhi: "..."

He really was a delicate big boy.

Yu Zhi pressed her lips together lightly, picked up the egg, and gently tapped it against the edge of the table.

Her movents were swift. Before Shi Wei could get a proper glimpse, she had already finished peeling it.

"You don't need to feed you, do you?" Yu Zhi teased slyly.

Her words set off a wave of pink bubbles in the air, as if the atmosphere had turned sweetly romantic.

If possible, Shi Wei truly wanted to experience what it felt like to be fed by her.

Sadly, now wasn't the ti.

"No need." Shi Wei shook his head sheepishly. However, beneath his long lashes, his eyes seed to ripple for a long ti, reluctant to settle.

Morning sunlight refracted through the window, casting warm tones onto the black sofa, adding a layer of coziness to the room.

Breezes wafted in, brushing past the crystal chandelier, producing soft, chi-like sounds—a rhythm reminiscent of flowing water, calming the soul.

A handso man and a beautiful woman sat cross-legged on the carpet, their expressions serious as they studied the test papers and textbooks scattered before them.

Yu Zhi held a pen in one hand while flipping through the test papers with the other, letting out a soft sigh.

The workload of her senior year was overwhelming. She was starting to regret agreeing to transfer to Shengde.

"What are you struggling with?" Suddenly, a deep male voice drifted into her ears, calm like water dripping into a tranquil pool.

Yu Zhi's hand flipping through the papers froze. Two seconds later, she looked sideways at him, her light brown eyes glimring slightly. "You do it for ."

Shi Wei, keen as ever, seed to catch onto sothing. His elegant brows arched slightly. "Has soone helped you before?"

The little girl's reaction made it clear that this wasn't her first ti.

"Hmm, yeah, a classmate helped with two sheets."

"A male classmate?"

"How'd you know?" Yu Zhi was a little surprised. Was it that easy to guess?

Upon hearing this, the light in Shi Wei's eyes grew turbulent. He stared at her intensely, his voice squeezing out from his throat with a touch of coldness almost imperceptible. "Which subject did he help you with?"

Carefree as ever, Yu Zhi didn't notice the shift in his mood at all.

"Math," she answered not only truthfully but even complinting the other party, "He seems to be pretty good at it."

"Is that so." Shi Wei murmured ambiguously.

Turning to the table, he rummaged through the papers and pulled out the one buried at the bottom. Glancing over it briefly, he said, "I'll teach you math first."

"You?" Yu Zhi's finger bent slightly as she pointed to herself in surprise. "You'll teach ?"

"Is there a problem?"

Yu Zhi: "..."

Didn't she ask him to solve the problems earlier? How did this turn into a tutoring session?

"Can I not learn?" Yu Zhi tried to give one last pushback.

Before she could finish, Shi Wei tightened his grip on the paper.

By now, he was practically drowning in jealousy, no longer bothering to hide the cold sharpness in his gaze.

He smiled a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "No, you can't."

Before she could say anything, he added, "Study diligently, and you're free to pick anything from upstairs."

The tantalizing offer left Yu Zhi unable to refuse.

She bit down lightly on her lip, resigned. "Fine, I'll learn." Study? It's not like she couldn't handle it.

Seeing her relent, Shi Wei wasted no ti. After grasping her situation, he began teaching her from the basics.

Truth be told, Yu Zhi was quite clever. Even concepts she had never encountered before seed to click instantly under Shi Wei's guidance. She even managed to build on them with ease.

While Shi Wei felt gratified, he also doubled down, giving her relentless instruction.

"Actually, there's a simpler way to solve this." Shi Wei pointed to a spot on the paper, holding the pen and scribbling swiftly on a piece of scrap paper.
