The Obsessive Tycoon Claims the Deserted Heiress Chapter 145 - 144: Was this done by Master Shi?
He despised won who dragged things out, talking in circles and saying unnecessary things—it was better not to say anything at all.
The man’s sudden movent startled ng Han, leaving her montarily frozen. Her gaze locked onto the lighter, her eyes seemingly out of focus.
"President Shi, why are you so angry?"
A teasing female voice ca from behind, snapping ng Han out of her daze.
Turning her head, she saw a woman with impeccable poise, dressed in a khaki-colored suit, walking toward them unhurriedly, her high heels clicking with each step.
When Shi Wei saw the woman, a flicker of subtle astonishnt crossed his eyes. He glanced behind her, and when he didn’t see the familiar figure he was looking for, he grew even more perplexed.
"Why are you here?" The man’s tone, when speaking to her, was noticeably less cold and detached than before.
This slight change didn’t escape ng Han’s attention. Her gaze toward the woman now carried not only curiosity but also a hint of caution.
"Shi Yin asked to deliver so docunts." Ruan Yuan raised her right hand and placed the docunts on the desk before settling into the empty seat next to ng Han.
She leaned back leisurely, crossing her arms as she casually scanned her surroundings before turning to the man to inquire, "Do you still have business to discuss?"
"No." Shi Wei skimd through the docunt briefly and was about to flip the page when his fingers paused at the edge.
"I don’t know how she got in." He was worried Ruan Yuan might misunderstand and go back to tell the girl, which would upset her.
Ruan Yuan, arms crossed, cast a scornful glance at the person beside her. A faint smirk tugged at her lips. "You should really consider changing your company’s security. It might stop stray cats and dogs from wandering in next ti."
Though her tone was devoid of strong emotion, every word she spoke was laced with mockery and disdain toward ng Han.
She couldn’t stand this self-important, clueless eyesore who dared to covet her friend’s man.
"Hmm, I’ll take care of it."
Ruan Yuan’s reaction seed to put Shi Wei sowhat at ease. He responded calmly, then lowered his head again to focus on the docunts in his hands.
"Miss, did I offend you in any way?" ng Han’s face turned pale, then flushed, but with the man still present, she had no choice but to endure her humiliation quietly.
"I just can’t stand the sight of you." Ruan Yuan was straightforward, not interested in playing word gas with this unpleasant woman.
She toyed with a strand of hair on her chest, displaying an air of utter disregard for the other person.
ng Han bit her lower lip tightly and turned to complain to the man, her voice tinged with grievance and fragility. "Brother Wei, did I do sothing wrong? Why doesn’t your friend like ?"
She emphasized the word "friend" deliberately—it was unclear whether she was reminding them or giving herself a pep talk.
"Like you? Hah, who do you think you are?" Before Shi Wei could speak, Ruan Yuan interrupted sharply.
She couldn’t stand this kind of fake modesty, pretending to be a perfect saint while not even bothering to look at her own reflection.
Tears quickly welled up in ng Han’s eyes. Gripping the armrests of the chair, she looked utterly wounded. "Brother Wei... I’m just so—"
Her words were cut off abruptly when a stack of A4 papers was flung hard into her face.
This ti, Shi Wei was genuinely furious. Leaning his hands on the table, his gaze turned cold and nacing as he stared at her. "If you don’t want the ng Family to disappear, then learn your place."
After finishing his sentence, he turned and strode out of the CEO’s office, leaving a chilly aura behind him.
The room fell silent. Disheveled and humiliated, ng Han no longer carried the air of a prestigious heiress. Trembling, she clutched the scattered papers on her lap, her red-rimd eyes filled with seething hatred.
"How pathetic," Ruan Yuan remarked with a resigned click of her tongue, clearly enjoying the drama.
She stood up slowly and had just taken a step when soone grabbed her arm.
"What’s your relationship with him?" ng Han glared up at the woman, as if she wouldn’t rest until she got an answer.
Ruan Yuan shook off her hand disdainfully, brushing off her suit where the woman had touched it as if it was contaminated. She cast ng Han a withering glance and said, "It’s none of your business."
Having thrown down that line, she, like Shi Wei, walked away without looking back, disappearing from ng Han’s sight.

In a villa located in the West District, darkness shrouded the interior. The curtains were tightly drawn, allowing no light to slip in.
The atmosphere felt oppressive and eerie.
Bai Shirui, unnerved by the silence and darkness, gulped nervously as she turned on her phone’s flashlight and carefully ascended the staircase, clinging to the banister for support.
On the second-floor hallway, shards of shattered glass lay scattered across the floor, glinting coldly under the beam of light.
Five or six broken wine bottles had spilled crimson liquid onto the carpet, creating a grotesque scene.
Cautious not to step on the shards, Bai Shirui opened the door to the first room on the right.
"Han Han?" She called softly several tis, but there was no response.
Pushing aside her fear, Bai Shirui searched the room, finally finding the other woman curled up near the corner of the bed.
She was sitting on the cold floor, hugging her knees tightly, her head bowed low. Sadness emanated from her entire being.
"Han Han, what’s wrong?" Bai Shirui set her belongings down, pulled the curtains back slightly, and knelt beside her, gently patting her back.
A breeze swept in through the now-partially open window, causing the curtains to sway lightly. The soft, warm sunlight that trickled in dispelled a hint of the room’s oppressive atmosphere.
ng Han raised her head to stare at the source of the light, her eyes lifeless as still water.
Tracing the faint scratches on her face left by the papers thrown at her, she let out a bitter laugh. "Tell , why is he so heartless?"
"Was this Shi Wei’s doing?" Bai Shirui asked, her brows furrowing as she stared at the glaring red marks on ng Han’s pale skin in disbelief.
Everyone in the Imperial City social circles knew that Shi Wei, cold and aloof as the moon in the sky, might detest won but had never raised a hand against one.
She couldn’t begin to fathom what could have happened today to push him to such a point.
"What did I do wrong?" ng Han’s hands fell limply to her sides, her voice small and choked with sobs, already hoarse. "Loving him... is that wrong too?"
"You did nothing wrong." Bai Shirui sighed, gently wiping the tears away from ng Han’s cheeks.
Her expression turned serious as she said firmly, "Han Han, let it go. Shi Wei is not the one for you."
Setting aside the disparity in their status, just the continuous cold treatnt from him was more than enough to prove that he had no interest in her.
"No!" ng Han shook her head frantically, gripping Bai Shirui’s hand with an almost maniacal force. Her face twisted with fury. "Why?! Why is that woman allowed to have him?!"
