I hate being powerless.

Unable to do anything.

But…

…perhaps this is fate's way of telling I can't escape destiny.

No matter how far I run from it, I will remain powerless.

And without power, I can't change my fate.

Yet with that sa power cos a curse.

A curse that, when the ti cos...

...will summon death itself to claim .

So, I have two choices.

One.

Continue running from my destiny until I inevitably face death head-on.

Or two.

Embrace this cursed fate of mine and beco what I was always ant to be.

The villain.

"Eloisa," she said with a smile, extending a hand to Selena for a handshake.

They all proceeded to introduce themselves.

Sigh.

I sighed again just as the food arrived. At that mont, I'd already lost my appetite.

My gaze fixed on Eloisa, who ate without sparing a glance.

Sigh.

Whatever.

I might as well just let it all play out.

It's not like she's any stronger than Selena... right?

Sigh.

The story has deviated a lot from its original direction, especially concerning Eloisa. But it's already realigning—cannon events are on the horizon anyway.

She's once again engaged to Allen, just like in the original storyline.

"I think we got off on the wrong foot," I heard a voice and turned to see a blonde-haired girl smiling at .

Ugh.

Why is she even here?

Oh, that's right. My actions today must have brought her closer to Ariana—a connection that didn't happen in the original storyline.

But that's not my problem.

"Go fuck yourself," I replied, turning back to my al.

Yeah, I choose not to beco her object of curiosity or whatever twisted fixation she has.

"You really won't change, will you?" a familiar voice cut in.

I turned to see Ariana glaring at .

Here we go again with her busybody antics.

"You two know each other?" another voice joined in, and I tensed.

Selena.

Ariana turned to Selena, her expression unreadable for a mont before answering, "Well, yes, I did. In fact, a lot of us did."

I groaned inwardly and rubbed my temples in frustration.

"Why not find sothing better to do with your ti than gossip?" I snapped, hoping to end the conversation.

Ariana didn't seem fazed. She looked at with that insufferable smirk, probably assuming Selena was my girlfriend or sothing. No doubt planning how to ruin a non-existent relationship.

"Like what?" she asked, her tone almost playful.

I paused, stealing a side glance at Silver. That bastard was grinning like a full-blown idiot, clearly enjoying the drama.

"I don't know. Maybe masturbate, like you always do," I shot back without sparing her a glance, casually cutting into my steak.

Goddamn, this steak tastes amazing.

The table fell silent. When I looked up, Selena's expression was one of shock. Even Eloisa had stopped mid-bite, and Silver—well, he alternated his gaze between us, his mouth twitching with poorly suppressed laughter.

And then, of course, he had to speak.

"How do you know she does it?" he asked, his grin widening.

I heard the faint screech of tal against ceramic. A quick side glance revealed Eloisa struggling to cut her steak, her hands shaking.

"How dare you?" Ariana snapped, her voice sharp.

I smirked. "Relax. It's just my opinion. I didn't say you should do it now. You can always save it for later."

Damn. At this point, I was gambling with my own life.

If she chose to kill right here and now, I wouldn't stand a chance.

But she wouldn't... right?

"...Well, at least I didn't try to rap—"

The sound of a blade snapping against porcelain cut her off.

"Oh, sorry. I couldn't control my strength for a mont there," Eloisa said calmly before standing up and leaving the table with the trap, presumably to get another.

"Why are you so rude to everyone?" Rizel asked, her tone exasperated.

"Why should I tell you, bit—"

I stopped mid-sentence as Ariana interjected smoothly.

"I think I'm falling for this one guy in class," she said, her voice loud enough to catch everyone's attention.

Classic Ariana.

She'd probably been plotting this since from class— so plan to make jealous or so nonsense like that.

It ain't going to work.

"Really? Who?" Rizel, ever the curious one, fell right into her trap.

"His na's Lucas. I t him yesterday," Ariana said, her expression dreamy. If I didn't know her as well as I did, I might've believed her act.

[You should keep your emotions in check. I can sense your hatred growing. At this rate, the rging will begin on its own,] a voice echoed in my mind.

'I know. But I can't help it. Once I see these heroines, the scumbag in takes over.'

"Lucas Macendial?" Selena asked, her brow furrowing.

Ariana nodded, gushing over his "overwhelmingly good" qualities.

A wicked smile curled on my lips.

"Yeah, instead of masturbating, why not just go do it with him? You two look good together anyway," I said.

Ariana froze, her gaze locking onto mine.

Oh, fuck.

Every instinct in my body scread one thing.

Run.
