Chapter 25: 121
Breaking my fall, they thankfully caught it just in ti, making my descent slower.
Index maintained his clarity through his ti during his brutal training. Perhaps it was the case for everyone. Maybe I could keep clarity as long as the character I was closest to was being written about.
So my theory should work itself out.
After all, it seed that this new Chapter was about Kanium.

Chapter 121: Resolve of the Crown Prince
...
Pausing for a mont in the garden, he stared at the white chrysanthemums.
’That revolting woman, how dare she insult
like that!’ thought Kanium, spitting on the ground as he continued on his way to his chambers.
"Let’s go," he commanded his loyal noble minions, his voice indifferent.

Sneaking up on them from behind, I felt the rope reach its maximum length.
Looks like I couldn’t stretch this rope out any further.
Alleus and Lieur were trying to pull
back, but this was sothing I couldn’t possibly pass up.
"Get back here, you damn idiot!" shouted Alleus.
Untying the rope, their faces grew pale as they gestured for
to head back toward them.

Reaching Kanium’s chambers, it faced the opposite end of Incus’. The curtains were closed, the sun’s strong light barely lighting the room.
Because I still wore the noble attire, I blended in with them, and they didn’t out
for it.
"That filthy woman. Every ti I look at her, I am reminded of that incident," scowled Kanium.
Rubbing his chest, the atmosphere began to shift. A vision of a young boy with green copper hair being stomped on by an older woman with green copper hair appeared.
"How can a filthy, untalented dog like you be the heir to the throne! It should be ! I have killed armies of demons, but they still insist that the one to succeed be you!" The older woman had an ugly expression of anger clear on her face.
The vision of the past then disappeared, and Kanium was holding a golden chalice filled with water.
"With my plan of keeping Incus here by having her wed to
resulting in a failure, I’ll have to move on to my next plan." The water in his chalice then turned black, and he grabbed the nobleman I had my eye on.
"You’ll be my experint, you outcast rat." He then forced him to drink from the cup.
"Mrrgh!" Choking on the drink, he dropped to the ground once there was nothing left to drink.
Coughing, Vertere gripped his chest.
"Make sure you don’t throw up. Despite your nobility, you’re still my slave." Kanium then burst out laughing and left the room.
Picking up the poisoned nobleman on my back, I followed after them.
It seed that they didn’t mind
carrying him as they conversed with each other. Of course, I muted it out because I only had one focus: getting this guy back to safety and getting the poison out of his system.
...Entering the garden, a noblewoman stood in Kanium’s way.
"My my, if it isn’t the worthless boy who dread of being a hero. Hohoho!" The noblewoman fanned herself.
"Shut your mouth before I cut it off," Kanium pulled out a dagger from his sleeve.
"Oh..? You think you can intimidate ? You’re nothing but a spineless brat—"
In the blink of an eye, the noblewoman’s lips were cut off, and before the woman could scream, her head was already rolling on the floor.
"Hang her head on a pike in the garden." Kanium pulled the nearest noble toward him and pushed him onto the corpse.
Running in front of the group of nobles, a ssenger held a scroll.
"Your Highness, an announcent from the King."
Wiping the blood off his shoe, Kanium nodded.
"Speak," said the misogynistic prince.
"Ahem. A banquet will be held to announce the marriage between Kanium Everlight and Incus Wang. All kingdoms will be invited."
After the ssenger finished reading, Kanium began laughing:
"Hahaha! A perfect opportunity."
Taking a quick glance at the draft, it seed that the noble on my shoulders was heavily implied to have been killed, so there shouldn’t be any consequences.
Seeing that the rope I used was still on the ground, I reached for it and began tugging.
Alleus peeked her head through the window.
Running toward her with the rope in my hand, I began getting pulled upward.
Grabbing the ledge of the window, I jumped upward and stepped through. I rested the noble on the ground.
"Get an antidote for poison now!" I yelled, swiping my hand in urgency.
Rushing to the bag, they began dumping out whatever was inside, shuffling through the goods.
The nobleman’s frail-looking body then began convulsing and coughed out black mucus.
"Catch!"
Throwing a vial at , I took the cork off and forced it down the noble’s throat.
"Bare through it. Don’t die twice."
Calming down, I muttered:
"Check status."

I just found myself a prodigy. With a mage in my party, we’d be able to attack from long distances without having to worry about ammunition running out. The only downside was that he was nonathletic, but who cared? I got myself a mage!
Focusing on his character description, it then appeared.
====[Description]====
Born from a noble lineage of mages, he was eventually sold and bought by the crown prince because his family had faced bankruptcy due to an altercation that led to a mber of the royal family being killed. Being a talented mage, he secretly trained in secret.

I see. So that was his story.
"Ring, who is this?" Alleus leaned over.
With a smirk, I replied:
"This is our newest mber."
