Mu Yiliang smiled and said "Mm": "You promised, no lying to !"

"I won’t lie to you." Yan Sijue held her tighter, his slightly hoarse voice carrying a hint of amusent.

All the anger and bitterness, grievances and entanglents beco insignificant in the face of life and death.

"Si Jue, do you want to get so sleep? You were looking for all night yesterday, you probably didn’t sleep at all, did you?" Mu Yiliang lifted her head, seeing the dark circles under his eyes, she felt a deep ache in her heart.

"Are you tired? Go to sleep, I’m here with you." He said softly.

"Mm..."

Mu Yiliang was indeed a little tired, after all, she had just undergone surgery. Though she knew she might be facing life-threatening danger, it was still just a possibility.

So, if you’re supposed to sleep, then just sleep.

Yan Sijue let her go, helping her lie down, watching as she closed her eyes.

He didn’t know why he suddenly felt like laughing.

This woman’s carefree nature was sothing he knew well. Even at the brink of life and death, when she said she would sleep, she fell asleep imdiately, truly not the least bit pretentious.

Her worries, perhaps more for others, because they were implicated by her, so she was anxious and uneasy.

Before long, Mu Yiliang’s breathing beca even, and Yan Sijue gently brushed his fingertips across her cheek, his touch incredibly gentle.

After a while, he stood up, turned around, and left the room.

Ada was waiting outside.

"Sir!" As soon as she saw Yan Sijue, she rushed over, her face full of joy, "A giant ship is coming over!"

Yan Sijue didn’t seem surprised: "Is it the Laura?"

"It is!" Ada was surprised, "Sir, did you know? Did you call for this ship?"

"No." Yan Sijue shook his head slightly, a strange smile at the corner of his mouth; he didn’t explain, bypassing Ada and going directly downstairs.

Not far from the manor’s entrance, a ship was docked there, and by now the area around the small island with shallower terrain had already been subrged, making the entire small island look much smaller.

Torrential rain was pouring down, but maybe because of watching it for a long ti, even the waves didn’t seem so terrifying anymore.

Yan Sijue didn’t take an umbrella, headed into the storm in that direction.

Ada, full of anxiety, held onto an umbrella and followed his steps: "Sir! Be careful!"

Yan Sijue turned a deaf ear and soon reached the place flooded by the rain, stepping straight into it, and after a few steps, the seawater had already subrged his thighs.

Ada watched, heart pounding, "Sir! Don’t go that way, let’s take a boat over there!"

The appearance of the Laura was also seen by others on the island; they all regarded the giant ship as a hope for survival, so so had already organized to push the few small boats on the island to this side.

Yan Sijue acted as if he hadn’t noticed, but fortunately, he stopped when the seawater reached his waist.

From the giant ship, a small boat was quickly deployed and appeared before Yan Sijue.

Besides the crew, there was a delicate girl on the small boat.

She smiled brightly at Yan Sijue: "Sir, we et again."

"It’s you? Where’s your father?" Yan Sijue asked.

The girl smiled cheerfully: "After all, this is a risky affair; how could my father co personally? So I volunteered. We don’t have much ti, you better get them onboard quickly. I can only give you half an hour, and when ti’s up, I won’t care about the fate of others. Oh right, I forgot to tell you, there’s one person I won’t let on board."
