At this mont, Sophie ca in with a bowl of soup, smiling as she approached Yan Sijue: "Sir, I specially made this soup for you. It’s very nourishing. Would you like to try so?"

Yan Sijue glanced at her nonchalantly, without saying a word. But to him, that look was a silent consent.

Sophie’s face lit up with a sweet, surprised smile. She placed the clay pot of soup in front of Yan Sijue, but without paying attention, the pot wobbled slightly as she set it down, spilling a few drops of steaming soup on her fair hand!

She cried out, and even though the burn was on her hand, she seed unable to stand steady and fell into Yan Sijue’s arms!

"Oh!" She scrambled to stand up, her face bright red, "Sorry, sir, I didn’t an to!"

Though she said so, her scalded red hand hung in front of her, as if deliberately for Yan Sijue to notice.

And in fact, Yan Sijue did notice.

He frowned slightly, "Ask Ada to get you so ointnt for burns."

"Okay." She replied shyly, her face flushed as she left, pausing to glance at Mu Yiliang on her way out. Whatever she saw, it seed to startle her into quickening her pace.

Mu Yiliang was already seething with anger!

She took a deep breath, seeing Yan Sijue across the table opening the lid of the clay pot soup, and said sternly, "Don’t drink it!"

The man paused his motion, looked up at her, his gaze inscrutable.

Nonetheless, he picked up the spoon, scooped a spoonful, and sent it into his mouth.

Mu Yiliang forcefully threw her knife and fork onto the plate, producing a sharp, clattering sound!

She stood up, her face flushed with anger: "Yan Sijue, I forbid you to drink it! This maid has ulterior motives. I want to fire her!"

Yan Sijue chuckled softly, his voice carrying a hint of mockery: "I actually think she put her heart into it. The soup tastes good." With that, he turned his head towards Ada who was waiting for instructions on the side, "Go check on her burn."

Ada responded promptly and quickly walked away.

Mu Yiliang’s face turned pale: "Is this your punishnt? Yan Sijue, do you think this is funny?"

"Punishnt?" His smile turned colder, "That’s too lenient on you."

Mu Yiliang’s heart ached, tears starting to well up in her eyes: "But for , this is the most cruel punishnt!"

His face darkened, looking at her on the verge of tears, he smirked coldly, tossed the napkin aside, and turned to leave the dining room.

Mu Yiliang’s lips moved silently, ultimately only able to sink back powerlessly into her seat.

The position opposite her, that clay pot was still unbearably conspicuous, even though Yan Sijue only took one sip, it was enough to fuel her anger.

"Throw that thing away." She ordered through gritted teeth.

The servant imdiately stepped forward and took away the clay pot of soup.

Mu Yiliang closed her eyes for a mont, a bitter smile on her lips. She thought she still had a chance to make ands, but who would have thought Yan Sijue would act like this.

When he acts childishly, he’s always like this. Previously, he would use Chen Yayan to pressure her, and now he’s using a maid to provoke her.

It seems her misunderstanding last ti really inflicted a significant hurt on him.

Mu Yiliang clenched her fist.

But even so, she absolutely could not tolerate Sophie causing trouble under her nose.

Before long, Ada returned, probably wanting to report on Sophie’s condition to Yan Sijue, but seeing that Yan Sijue wasn’t there, she wisely avoided approaching Mu Yiliang.

Mu Yiliang, however, waved her over.
