Seeing Xiaoze’s gloomy little face, Mu Yiliang couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
She increasingly felt that Doctor Sun might be overthinking things.
Because now Yan Sijue seed more and more like a person full of feelings, how could such a person be easily provoked?
After dinner, Mu Yiliang planned to take Xiaoze to see Lan Yueru. These days, the family of three had been eating in the dining hall while Lan Yueru could only stay in her room, inevitably feeling lonely, so Mu Yiliang visited her with Xiaoze every night.
"I’ll go with you," Yan Sijue said lightly, putting down his napkin.
The mother and son, of course, had no objections.
In the room, Lan Yueru had just finished her dinner and her expression looked sowhat listless.
It seed that seeing Xin had quite an impact on her.
Nonetheless, Lan Yueru was delighted to see her son, daughter-in-law, and grandson together; she hugged Xiaoze with a smile and said, "I am almost recovered now. I’m thinking, maybe I should take Xiaoze back to S City first."
"Why?" Xiaoze was the first to express his objection, "Grandma, I like it here!"
Lan Yueru smiled and tapped his forehead: "Silly boy, your mom and dad just got married and are now on their honeymoon. You’ve been an unknowing third wheel for so long?"
Xiaoze touched his head, realizing it was indeed true, and felt embarrassed.
"Aunt Lan, it’s not necessary," Mu Yiliang said with a smile, "You still need to recuperate, the environnt here is perfect. Furthermore, Xiaoze hasn’t been a bother to Si Jue and ."
With that, she held the man’s hand and said with a smile, "Si Jue, what do you think?"
The man glanced at her, his gaze sowhat deep.
He looked at Lan Yueru and said lightly, "If you feel it’s necessary, it’s not impossible."
"Si Jue!" Mu Yiliang hadn’t expected him to agree to this arrangent so quickly.
Lan Yueru laughed, "Yiliang, you may think it’s fine, but Si Jue might find Xiaoze and a bit of a nuisance. This small island is so tiny; it feels confining after a while. It’s more comfortable back in S City."
Xiaoze thought for a mont and nodded, "Alright then, Grandma, I’ll go back to S City with you."
Mu Yiliang felt a bit sad at that mont; if Lan Yueru took Xiaoze away, she would face Yan Sijue alone, and she was sowhat apprehensive.
Mainly because this man was too sharp-tongued, she often sought comfort from her son.
Yan Sijue gave her a cold glance, "Why, you don’t want to be alone with ?"
"No, of course not, I can’t wait!" Mu Yiliang quickly expressed her determination.
"Then it’s settled," Lan Yueru said, hesitated for a mont, then spoke, "Si Jue, I went to see Xin today."
Yan Sijue raised an eyebrow, "Oh? So?"
"Are you planning to keep her locked here forever?" Lan Yueru didn’t dare to plead for leniency.
"If she’s not kept here, shall we kill her then?" Yan Sijue suddenly smiled, "Mom, are you feeling soft-hearted?"
"I..." Lan Yueru paused, "She begged to give her a quick end."
Mu Yiliang was sowhat horrified to hear this, what does... give her a quick end an?
What has this man done to Xin?
"Mom," Yan Sijue curled his lips coldly, "Do you believe this woman’s words? She’s pretending to be pitiful on purpose because she has faith that you’ll feel sorry for her. She begged you for a quick end; do you truly have the heart to do that to her? You can’t bring yourself to do it, so you could only ask to let her go."
