Gu Qingqian was silent for a long ti before he said, "Do I have no chance at all now?"

"Gu Qingqian..." Mu Yiliang’s voice was sowhat sad.

"Not only do you two have a child, but you also still have feelings for each other." Gu Qingqian smiled self-deprecatingly, "If I still want to try, would that be overestimating myself?"

Mu Yiliang smiled bitterly, "Actually, it was not long ago that I found out Xiaoze is his son... I forgot many things, especially those related to Yan Sijue. I’ve completely forgotten them, I didn’t even know I once knew him."

Gu Qingqian slowly looked at her, "So, when you said you still love him... was that a lie to ?"

Mu Yiliang paused and shook her head, "No."

"Which ans," Gu Qingqian’s face grew paler, "when he appeared beside you again, you fell in love with him again."

Mu Yiliang remained silent.

"If I hadn’t fainted back then, if I had truly lost a hand, would you have given a chance?" He laughed strangely.

"Gu Qingqian!" Mu Yiliang couldn’t help but raise her voice, "Don’t think like that! I’m very grateful for your feelings for , and I’m very grateful that you’re willing to do these things for , but... that’s a different matter. I can’t reciprocate with feelings. I can’t just say I love you and then love you!"

He spread his hands in front of him, his voice desolate, "But if I really lost my left hand, you wouldn’t ignore , right? Now, even though I’m injured, once I heal, you won’t care about anymore. I know."

"I won’t ignore you." Mu Yiliang said gently, "Look, I’ve never ignored you when you needed , even if you weren’t hurt for ."

He looked up at her, his gaze nearly obsessive, "Then... can you stay with these few days? I hope that whenever I open my eyes, I can see you."

Mu Yiliang couldn’t refuse at all.

She nodded lightly, "Okay."

...

Gu Qingqian soon fell asleep again.

Mu Yiliang looked at him by the bedside for a long ti before turning to leave, planning to go ho to get so things as she estimated she would be staying at the hospital these days.

As she stepped out of Gu Qingqian’s room, she saw Yan Sijue.

He seed to have been standing there for a long ti, his pale face made his eyes appear even deeper, and his tightly pressed thin lips had almost no color.

Mu Yiliang was startled! His complexion looked not much better than the injured Gu Qingqian’s!

"Yan Sijue..." she couldn’t help but step closer to him, "Were you injured just now?"

He lowered his head slightly, taking in her worried gaze.

"No." He smiled faintly, "Don’t worry."

"But you don’t look well!" she insisted, staring at him.

Yan Sijue suddenly reached out and pulled her into his embrace!

"I’m fine, just didn’t rest well..." his voice was slightly hoarse, "Yiliang, I miss you very much."

Very much.

Just a couple of days ago, he almost thought he would never see her again.

Thankfully, he could still stand in front of her, still hold her in his arms, still feel her soft body.

Mu Yiliang couldn’t help but wrap her arms around his waist.

Suddenly, a sour feeling welled up in her heart, making her want to cry.

She took a deep breath, fighting hard to keep that emotion in check.

"I need to stay in the hospital to take care of Gu Qingqian these days, so I’ll rely on you for Xiaoze..." she said softly, "Also, thank you for saving ."
