"Mr. Yan, you don’t have to trouble yourself..."

"Since I’ve abducted you, I should at least be responsible for sending you ho." The man slightly raised an eyebrow, "Or are you afraid I might eat you?"

Mu Yiliang was speechless, but felt there was an underlying ssage in his words that she couldn’t counter.

From beginning to end, he never let go of her hand, and now he was holding it tightly as he walked towards the parking lot.

Mu Yiliang sowhat bewilderedly followed his steps.

Just earlier, before Gu Qingqian appeared, this man was looking all desolate and hopeless. How did he suddenly seem reborn?

It was as if he had made so sort of decision, which inexplicably made Mu Yiliang feel a little afraid.

The man opened the car door, ushering her inside, then leaned over to fasten her seatbelt.

It was too intimate, causing Mu Yiliang to beco stiff all over! His face was right in front of her chest, and she had worn a gown for the banquet today that, if he just slightly lowered his head, he could see the curves and creases... Yet, the man was seriously attentive, showing respect, making her unable to speak.

His breath slightly brushed past her face, making Mu Yiliang a bit tense.

Luckily, he soon finished fastening her seatbelt and went around to sit in the driver’s seat.

"I live in the Tianyuan District, do you know where that is?" Mu Yiliang thought for a mont, "If it’s out of your way, I can take a taxi..."

"I know." The man started the car, and those three simple words imdiately blocked any further words from Mu Yiliang.

Mu Yiliang felt helpless; the situation had reached this point, so she could only let him drive her ho.

Strange, every ti she thought there would be no more interactions with this man, why did their entanglents seem to increase?

Mu Yiliang regretted laughing out loud earlier.

She didn’t mind her own image, but rather... her behavior at that mont seed to suddenly break the barrier between them, making her feel embarrassed to maintain a distant, cold deanor towards him now.

Besides, he had just helped her.

"Mr. Yan, you left the gathering like that...won’t Mr. Gu be angry?" She thought for a mont and asked.

He laughed out loud: "Do I need to care about other people’s feelings?"

His tone was casual, yet with an air of ease and dominance.

Not just anyone could say such words.

Gu Benhong would definitely be angry, but no matter how angry, would he dare show a grim face to Yan Sijue? Having a chance to cooperate with FIS, Gu Benhong should still be grateful.

Mu Yiliang was impressed.

"Yiliang..." The man suddenly called her na softly, his tone seed a bit hesitant, "Aren’t you afraid of Gu Qingqian being angry?"

"It’s fine, at worst I’ll just quit!" Mu Yiliang nonchalantly waved her hand, "What’s he going to do with !"

"So, you don’t have a closer relationship with him? Just superior and subordinate?" He slightly raised an eyebrow.

"Of course!" Mu Yiliang instinctively explained, "Just now at the table... I don’t even know why he was saying those things."

Yan Sijue’s profile beca even softer.

"That’s good." He gently breathed out this sentence.

He seed to be in a good mood.

What’s good? Good what? Mu Yiliang listened, trembling with fear!

Was he really planning to pursue her?

"He’s not worthy of you." The man added another line.

Mu Yiliang gave a dry laugh, "You’re overestimating ..."

If Gu Qingqian wasn’t worthy of her, who was? Was it himself?

Mu Yiliang was troubled, she very much wanted to tell this man directly that she would never be a stand-in, but he hadn’t expressly stated what he wanted, leaving her with no grounds to refuse.

Hopefully, it’s just her overthinking...
