On the third day, when Mu Yiliang woke up from bed, she vaguely saw soone sitting by the bedside.
She instantly beca alert and sat up abruptly: "Who are you?"
The person stood up and looked down at her from above. Mu Yiliang finally saw his face clearly—it was the pale yet handso face of Nie Qing.
Mu Yiliang watched him nervously, "I’m sorry, could you please leave first? I need to change my clothes."
He didn’t move and continued to stare blankly at her face.
Mu Yiliang couldn’t help but feel annoyed, and with a darkened expression, she said, "Please leave!"
His expression suddenly changed as if he was startled, and muttered a low "sorry" before fleeing hurriedly!
Mu Yiliang was almost stunned...
She suddenly had so understanding, could it be that the woman he loves treated him this way too... is that why he fears her anger?
She felt she might have figured out sothing. After changing her clothes and leaving the room, she found Nie Qing waiting by the door—more precisely, crouching by the door.
Upon hearing movent, he stood up and cautiously looked at her, "Have you changed your clothes?"
Then he emphasized again, "I didn’t peek."
That expression was simply like a child, making one want to pat his head and tease him... but paired with his mature and charming face, the image was very incongruous.
Mu Yiliang tentatively replied, "I didn’t bla you."
He imdiately breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, "Then can I co again tonight? I... I have a gift for you..."
He looked uneasy, seemingly afraid of her disdain, and emphasized, "You will like it! I think... you will like it..."
Mu Yiliang felt goosebumps all over, nodded desperately. Only then did he leave with a satisfied smile.
Mu Yiliang quickly brushed off the goosebumps from herself!
In the evening, Mu Yiliang was having dinner—having confird she couldn’t leave for a while, she had to eat even if the food was poisoned; otherwise, she would starve to death first.
Halfway through dinner, Nie Qing ca again, holding a beautifully wrapped small box.
Mu Yiliang didn’t move.
He placed it in front of her like a treasure: "A gift... take a look."
Mu Yiliang sighed, reluctantly opened the box, and found a lipstick inside. She twisted it open and discovered a section had already been used, it wasn’t brand new.
"I... I wiped it very carefully, I assure you it’s clean!" Nie Qing nervously explained, "It’s your favorite bright red! Very pretty, isn’t it? Won’t you try it?"
Mu Yiliang hesitated for a mont, and Nie Qing suddenly laughed.
"You don’t like it, right? Of course, you wouldn’t like it, this lipstick was stolen from another woman and has been used, you naturally wouldn’t fancy it... If only I could steal things from the mall... I’m just a useless beggar, how could you like ?" He murmured, his face looking panicked and sorrowful.
"No, no, you like !" He laughed again, as if recalling sweet mories, "If you didn’t like , why would you praise for being beautiful, why would you smile and touch my face... You always called ’my little boy’... And I’m willing to do anything for you, how could you not like ?"
Mu Yiliang hurriedly put the lipstick back into the box!
"You still don’t like , you’re just teasing out of pity..." His expression changed again, and his voice shifted from delighted to a low whimper, "So many big shots are willing to spend a fortune on you, what do I have? I have nothing!"
