Downstairs, it was indeed Xin. She sat upright on the sofa, and Housekeeper Li brought her hot tea, to which she nodded in thanks.
Yan Sijue and Mu Yiliang sat opposite her, and Xin’s gaze, as usual, fell on Yan Sijue, routinely ignoring Mu Yiliang... making her feel a bit depressed.
"Mother seems to be doing well, thank you for always taking care of her." Yan Sijue’s sincere gratitude was not feigned, "When I went to S City and brought her back, you must have helped too... If there are any troubles, please make sure to let know."
Xin smiled slightly: "Those were just small matters... My request is simple, although Aunt Lan was not lucid all these years, we have relied on each other for survival... Without her, I probably wouldn’t have made it to today. Although we are not related, I still hope I can visit her when there’s a chance, is that okay?"
"Of course." Yan Sijue smiled faintly, "I will never stop you from seeing her."
"That’s good then." Xin smiled slightly, "I have troubled you, farewell."
After saying that, she stood up.
"Are there no other requests?" Yan Sijue raised an eyebrow.
Xin turned her head to look at him, thought for a mont, and shook her head firmly: "Can’t think of any for now."
Yan Sijue handed her a business card: "This has my personal number on it, feel free to contact if you need anything."
Xin hesitated for a mont but still accepted it: "Thank you."
With that, she took her leave.
Even as she was leaving, she completely ignored Mu Yiliang, as if she didn’t exist.
Mu Yiliang suddenly realized that this was probably a form of disdain. When she appeared with Yan Sijue, Xin directly treated her as if she was an accessory to Yan Sijue, not even giving her the basic respect. Thinking of this made her a little angry.
Moreover, all her actions... seed to have no agenda, yet revealed so strangeness that Mu Yiliang couldn’t decipher at the mont. From this encounter, Mu Yiliang was completely certain that she didn’t like this person.
She had always been tolerant of won, even those hostile to her, she could find so charm in them. This was the first ti she disliked a woman... She couldn’t help but doubt if she was being petty, and that her jealousy towards Xin was causing her to nitpick.
Yan Sijue watched her look confused and sighing, couldn’t help but laugh: "What are you thinking about?"
Mu Yiliang hesitated for a mont before speaking softly: "If I say I don’t like Xin, would you think I’m petty?"
The man raised an eyebrow in surprise: "You don’t like her?"
Mu Yiliang felt a bit downcast: "Is that not allowed..."
"Of course, it is!" Yan Sijue couldn’t help but laugh, "Finally, there’s a woman you don’t like! It’s not just you, I don’t like her either. I always ask her if she needs help because I want to quickly repay her kindness."
Mu Yiliang imdiately felt relieved: "You don’t like her either? That’s great! I thought since she saved your mother, you’d be angry if I disliked her..."
"I am genuinely grateful to her, but that doesn’t an I like her as a person." Yan Sijue smiled faintly, "She always refuses to make requests, so she must have bigger plans. The more humble she acts, the more cautious I beco."
Mu Yiliang felt a bit worried: "What if she demands sothing in return for her favor?"
"Do you think I’m stupid? Of course, I would make a judgnt. If she has ulterior motives, I will definitely refuse." Yan Sijue gave her a deep look, "However, if sothing similar happened to you, that would be harder to say."
