Mu Yiliang slowly woke up again.
She stared blankly at the ceiling for a mont, rembering the child that was never ant to be hers, and her heart ached once more.
"Awake?" a deep male voice sounded, and then her right hand was enclosed in a pair of warm palms, "Are you hungry?"
She looked at the already tidied Yan Sijue and tried to smile, "Help up."
The man helped her up, half-holding her in his arms, "Your face looks a bit better now, is there anywhere you feel uncomfortable?"
"No..." She reached out to hug him, gently closing her eyes.
The dull ache in her lower abdon was still there; she knew it was because of the miscarriage. Perhaps she could never have children again in the future. Although she didn’t mind, the thought of this man once so eagerly expecting the birth of a new life, and she could no longer fulfill that wish for him, made her a bit sad.
"Everything here has been dealt with," he said softly, "When you’ve recovered, we’ll go back. You miss Xiaoze, don’t you?"
"Si Jue..." she finally couldn’t help but speak.
"What is it?" The man’s patience and gentleness were unmatched.
"Xiaoze... might never have a little brother or sister... Will you be very disappointed?" She bit her lip.
