Returning to the Yan Mansion again, Mu Yiliang suddenly had a feeling as if it were a lifeti ago.

As usual, her arrival was not obstructed. She pushed the main door open and walked in, greeted by Housekeeper Li.

He seed quite surprised, yet his expression remained as respectful as ever: "Lady Mu, the young master is in the backyard."

After speaking, he hesitated for a mont, as if there was sothing else he wanted to say, but held back.

Seeing this, Mu Yiliang couldn’t help but ask, "Is there sothing inconvenient?"

He gave a faint smile, "No. This way, please."

When Mu Yiliang arrived at the backyard, she finally understood why Housekeeper Li had hesitated earlier.

Because Yan Sijue was there too...

In the yard, father and son were playing chess.

It was evening, and the twilight shone slantingly in the yard, also casting a faint halo over their two figures, one large and one small.

The lines on the sides of their faces were strikingly similar.

Mu Yiliang suddenly choked up, as if a surge of warmth burst forth from deep within her heart, hot and unrestrained like lava, but she couldn’t identify why she felt this emotion.

She just suddenly felt... this scene was as beautiful as a picture.

"...Daddy, you’re not allowed to move here!" Xiaoze suddenly broke the silence, his little face full of frustration, "Anyway, you’re not allowed to take this step!"

Yan Sijue chuckled lightly: "Now you realize that last step was wrong? But it’s too late!" After saying this, he unhesitatingly placed his piece in that spot.

Imdiately, the entire ga board’s position shifted dramatically!

Xiaoze pursed his lips, greatly annoyed, and had no choice but to rack his brains for a solution.

At that mont, he inadvertently looked up and saw Mu Yiliang.

His eyes widened, as if doubting if he saw wrong, and instinctively rubbed them.

Once sure he wasn’t mistaken, he suddenly shouted, "Mommy! You finally ca!"

Yan Sijue’s body stiffened; he slowly stood up, turned around, and saw the mother and son embracing each other.

"Mommy!" Xiaoze tightly hugged her, "Why did you take so long to co? I missed you so much!"

"I’m sorry..." Mu Yiliang murmured, taking a deep breath, inhaling the familiar scent on Xiaoze, only then did her heart settle down.

"Mommy, did sothing happen to you?" Xiaoze asked sensitively.

"Nothing." Mu Yiliang tried to smile, even though her shoulder had been hit a bit painfully by Xiaoze’s sudden rush, she could endure it for now.

"Then why did you take so long to co..." At this thought, Xiaoze felt aggrieved, his lips turned downwards.

"Uh... Uncle Jason had a little issue, but it’s resolved now, don’t worry!" Mu Yiliang quickly used Jason as a scapegoat.

"I’m just glad you’re okay, Mommy." Xiaoze was greatly relieved, inspecting her up and down, and seeing her rosy cheeks, he finally relaxed, "By the way, I found out the place you’ve been staying belongs to Qiao Yebai these days! Do you know him?"

Mu Yiliang smiled slightly, "Don’t worry, he’s our client now."

"Is it dangerous?" Xiaoze still felt uneasy. He thought Mommy and Uncle Jason had long stopped getting involved!

"Of course not!" Mu Yiliang said, vigorously rubbing his cheek, "Am I that reckless?"

Xiaoze stuck his tongue out.

Mu Yiliang nuzzled him again, slightly raising her gaze to see Yan Sijue standing there.
