The private room was very lively, with classmates gathered in threes and twos, drinking and playing gas, shouting and laughing loudly.
Su Wanwan felt a bit of a headache and was already beginning to regret agreeing to Zhou Miaomiao’s request.
When Zhou Miaomiao dragged her to sit with Sun Xiaotong and her group, her headache worsened.
"Oh! Xiaotong!" Zhou Miaomiao said exaggeratedly, "Where’s your wealthy boyfriend? Call him out and let us take a look!"
As she spoke, she glanced around.
Sun Xiaotong was particularly suited to the current beauty standards, with big eyes, a sharp chin, and a smiling mouth. Since entering school, she has been regarded as a goddess by the boys and has always been proud and arrogant.
But now, her expression wasn’t very good, and she said irritably, "My boyfriend is busy; do you think he’s as idle as you all?"
Zhou Miaomiao wasn’t buying it and coldly laughed, "I bet it’s not because he’s busy, but because he doesn’t care about you at all, so he refuses to co, right?"
"Zhou Miaomiao, just because you can’t keep a man’s heart, you think everyone else is as useless as you?" Sun Xiaotong raised her eyebrows, her tone dripping with disdain.
This statent hit Zhou Miaomiao’s sore spot! Without a word, she stood up and tried to pinch Sun Xiaotong, but Su Wanwan quickly held onto her waist!
"Hey, what’s going on here?!"
"Zhou Miaomiao, calm down!"
The girls around, seeing this scene, were also shocked and quickly intervened.
Under Su Wanwan’s desperate efforts to stop her, Zhou Miaomiao finally sat back down, cald down, sipped water slowly, and said, "Why should I argue with you? It’s deaning to waste ti on soone who only knows how to latch onto n to climb up."
Sun Xiaotong replied with a smug smile, "Yes, I latch onto n to climb up. Who can bla them for wanting to? Not like so people, who can’t find anyone even if they want to latch on."
"Not ashad and proud instead! Sun Xiaotong, you really have no sha!" Zhou Miaomiao retaliated.
Su Wanwan listened to their verbal sparring, suffering from a headache. She wanted to leave imdiately but didn’t have the heart to leave Zhou Miaomiao alone, so she stayed sitting foolishly.
The girls around listened with interest while making half-hearted attempts to diate.
Suddenly, Sun Xiaotong’s phone rang. She took it out, her face blooming with a proud smile, glancing triumphantly at Zhou Miaomiao, and answered the call in a sickly sweet voice.
"Hello, Ze..."
"Yes, Four Seasons, I’m right here."
"Are you coming over soon? Okay, I’ll wait for you. Drive carefully."
After hanging up, Sun Xiaotong glanced at them arrogantly, stood up, and said, "I’m going to et my boyfriend; you all play here yourselves." With that, she strutted out in her high heels.
Zhou Miaomiao was livid, her face turning pale, and only cald down after gulping down so beer, "That bitch, she’s really pissing off!"
Su Wanwan, however, was a bit distracted by that "Ze." But thinking again, she found it amusing.
How could that man ever let anyone call him that?
"Wanwan, why aren’t you saying anything?" Zhou Miaomiao asked discontentedly.
"What should I say?" Su Wanwan replied innocently, "You know I’m not good at this sort of thing."
Actually, she couldn’t understand why Zhou Miaomiao always had to spar with Sun Xiaotong every ti they t, knowing clearly that her verbal skills were inferior.
"How about this?" Zhou Miaomiao suggested in a negotiating tone, "Could you help with a small favor later? When Sun Xiaotong’s boyfriend arrives, how about you offer him a drink... Oh, and rember to take off your glasses."
