Mu Yiliang snapped back to reality, her cheeks instantly flushed deep red!
She angrily glared at him, then turned and swam to the other side.
Behind her, the sound of water splashing was heard, and shortly after, she felt his arm wrap around her waist, and in the next mont, he lifted her up and held her tightly in his embrace.
"Where do you think you’re escaping to, hmm?" His voice carried a deep, joyous undertone.
Mu Yiliang felt his breath land on her ear, her heartbeat embarrassingly quickening. Beneath the water, her legs were tightly entwined by him, unable to move.
"What are you doing, holding and hugging like this, Xiaoze is right nearby!" she righteously scolded.
In response, he chuckled softly, holding her against the shore, lowering his head to seal her lips!
Mu Yiliang’s heart trembled slightly.
The kiss was incredibly gentle and entangled, pure without any desire, yet it suddenly made her want to cry.
She couldn’t help wrapping her arms around his neck, closing her eyes, wanting to enjoy this kiss without any burden. However, the voice in her head untily erged once more!
Kill Yan Sijue!
Her heart sank, and suddenly she pushed him away forcefully, saying hoarsely: "No!"
Her face, in that instant, turned pale!
"Yiliang?" Yan Sijue’s expression changed drastically, "Is the headache acting up again?"
He was filled with guilt and regret, knowing full well the possible outco, why couldn’t he restrain himself?
"No... it’s not... I’m fine." She gently shook her head, revealing a weak smile.
Yet the worry on the man’s face remained: "Really?"
"Yes." She nodded affirmatively, suddenly reaching out to caress his brow and eyes.
Even though it was a face she was so familiar with, why, when the killing intent surged, did he suddenly feel like a stranger?
Yan Sijue caught her fingertips, his voice low and obscure: "Yiliang, what did you think of just now, tell ."
Mu Yiliang hurriedly withdrew her finger: "Nothing, I didn’t think of anything."
If he knew that at that mont she harbored murderous intent towards him, he would definitely be very upset, perhaps even... wary of her.
She didn’t dare ntion it, let alone gamble.
"Let’s not fool around, I’m going to swim a few laps to stretch my muscles, go play with Xiaoze." She said casually, breaking away from him to swim to the other side.
Yan Sijue still stood at the poolside, watching in the direction Mu Yiliang left, his gaze dark and obscure.
Xiaoze swam over to his side.
"Daddy, are you okay?"
Only then did Yan Sijue recall his gaze, giving a faint smile: "I’m fine. Co on, let see if your posture is up to the standard."
...
Mu Yiliang swam a few laps, then went ashore, showered, and changed her clothes.
After what had just happened, she suddenly felt a bit afraid to face Yan Sijue.
She realized clearly that in recent days, that thought had beco increasingly intense, at the mont when the killing intent erged, she felt like she had beco soone else, that extre hatred still made her feel panic upon recollection.
In the evening, Yan Sijue returned with Xiaoze, and the two went to the dining room, only to find Qiao Yebai alone.
"Where’s Yiliang?" Yan Sijue’s face darkened.
"She said she wasn’t hungry and went to rest first." Qiao Yebai glanced at him, "Did sothing happen this afternoon?"
Yan Sijue was silent for a long ti before speaking: "Could you please ask Master Chen to co again, I have so questions I need to ask him."
