The Necromancer is amassing troops like crazy in the apocalypse Chapter 780 - 780 630 Why Can It Float on the Sea
Chapter 780: Chapter 630, Why Can It Float on the Sea Chapter 780: Chapter 630, Why Can It Float on the Sea The next day at the Golden Sail Tavern.
“The second item on display at the Island Lord’s Mansion, known as a watch, serves the sa purpose as the pocket watch in the latest Great Detective story.”
“It can be worn on the wrist without hindering movent and provides accurate ti….”
The Bard, standing on the stage, spoke solely about the exhibits of the Island Lord’s Mansion.
“The third item, which had no physical presence at the scene, is an alchemy potion called a Strengthening Potion. Its effect is to enhance a person’s physical attributes without the need for leveling up.”
“Once these three items were on display, they made all other rchandise pale in comparison.”
“Whether it’s a gorgeous vase or finely carved silverware, they are rely pretty but impractical trinkets.”
“Countless people were scrambling to et the Island Master face to face; the entrance to the Island Lord’s Mansion was crowded with visiting nobles every day.”
The third day of the exhibition.
Inside the tavern, between the regular telling of Great Detective stories, the hotly attended exhibition was also discussed.
Especially the three products showcased by the Island Lord’s Mansion at the exhibition.
Because of certain circumstances, those unable to visit the exhibition heard about it in this way!
Even though everyone knew Island Lord Wu Heng was formidable, they didn’t expect him to achieve such a degree.
Writing, tikeeping, breaking the physical shackles with potions.
To cross such a vast gap and realize it all in one person was simply terrifying.
You could say that Wu Heng had ticulous thoughts and naturally high perception, able to notice details others missed, making him akin to a Great Detective.
But to create these objects directly, one can’t simply attribute it to talent anymore.
Especially since he’s a Necromancer.
He transcended the realms of chanists and Pharmacists.
And this was just the third day of the exhibition.
As various ssages spread, more people would co to the island.
Gold and Silver Island would only beco more bustling.
…
In the Association, Steward’s Office.
“You went to the Island Master’s mansion yesterday, eh!” Wu Heng entered the room and took a seat on a sofa.
Shi Yali brought over so freshly brewed tea and then returned to her seat.
Xi Ligui spoke directly, “Skeeter ca to yesterday, saying that the Secret Cultivation Hall mber you killed had visited him the day before.”
Wu Heng looked curious, not expecting there to be a follow-up story.
“Is it related to the Association?”
“Listen to ,” Xi Ligui gestured for him not to rush as she recounted the whole matter in detail.
“I had the Skeleton Prophet sense the gift, and we could confirm the two had just an ordinary conversation—not accomplices of the Secret Cultivation Hall.”
There are two Vice-executives on Gold and Silver Island.
The human Vice-executive is nad Skeeter, and the Short person is Gadain.
Wu Heng didn’t often interact with them, greeting them occasionally when they t.
As for what he knew about their intelligence, it wasn’t much, and anything he could reveal were things already public.
“Glad to hear it’s been investigated thoroughly. These kinds of things are inevitable,” Wu Heng said with a smile.
“Yes,” Xi Ligui nodded, following up with, “What were you up to yesterday? The exhibition started, and you went off again.”
“I had so business to take care of,” Wu Heng answered with a smile.
Shi Yali also ca over and perched herself on the armrest next to Xi Ligui. “Wu Heng, did you invent the fountain pen and the watch?”
“You could say I introduced them here; they’re basically unseen in these parts,” Wu Heng responded.
“What about that potion? When I saw it, there were only certificates from the association and consortia.” Shi Yali’s fair arm rested on her sister’s shoulder.
“There’s a real product, but I put it away for fear it might spark so incident.”
“Did you introduce that one too?”
“No, not that.”
Shi Yali smiled and said, “Are these items brought by others for the exhibition? Having a pen and a watch is pretty impressive already.”
Wu Heng smiled and replied, “No, the elixir was developed by my team.”
The sisters’ eyebrows shot up in unison, they glanced at each other, each seeing astonishnt in the other’s eyes.
“Aren’t you a mage?” Shi Yali pressed.
“I discovered a material that enhances the human body, so I organized a team to start developing the elixir,” Wu Heng explained.
Since the elixir had already been made public, so things didn’t need to be kept so secret anymore.
The two won were even more surprised and were montarily at a loss for words.
After a while,
Xi Ligui finally said, “Aren’t you afraid of causing an incident?”
“Don’t worry, with the current defensive capabilities on the island, there’s no problem,” said Wu Heng.
Shi Yali’s eyes lit up as she realized, “The last ti you made a bet with Xi Ligui, saying sothing sufficiently shocking, was it this elixir?”
Xi Ligui suddenly looked up at her, her eyes conveying a ssage of ‘why bring that up now?’
Realizing her sister’s look, Shi Yali continued, “That can’t count though, you said it was a chanical device, not an elixir.”
Reminded by this, Wu Heng also recalled the matter.
Last ti, when the three of them were chatting, the topic of the bet had co up.
Xi Ligui had advised him not to focus on developing chanical inventions and to concentrate on spells instead.
Wu Heng then brought up the bet, saying that if he could bring out a chanical invention that was shocking enough, they would have to agree to one of his requests.
Of course, Shi Yali also joined in.
Looking at the two sisters who looked alike but had different deanors, Wu Heng spoke with a hint of doubt, “You two aren’t going to go back on your word, are you?”
Xi Ligui said, “We had agreed it would be a chanical device; the watch was nice but not as exaggerated as you described before.”
Wu Heng thought for a mont, then said, “What if I were to bring out a chanical device now?”
“Then I’d have nothing more to say,” Xi Ligui shrugged.
“Then I’ll make sure you lose convincingly,” Wu Heng said and then stood up, “Let’s go, follow to the port.”
“Go out now?” asked Xi Ligui, curious.
“Just take a look and see what counts as an awe-inspiring weapon,” Wu Heng replied with his head lifted slightly.
Xi Ligui stared at him, “Are we really going out?”
“Hurry up, put on a hood, we’ll sneak over,” Wu Heng said.
Xi Ligui was skeptical but still took out a hood from her space ring and put it on before walking away from her desk.
Wu Heng then looked at Shi Yali, who was holding her chin with a full-face smile, “You joined the bet too, haven’t forgotten have you?”
Shi Yali’s smile stiffened, as she wanted to argue a few points.
But she held back, donned her hood, and left with them.
…
At Pier No. 2.
Xi Ligui and Shi Yali’s eyes widened as they looked up at the huge structure docked at the port, their eyes brimming with shock and bewildernt.
Even the largest warship was not as colossal as what was before them; it was like a small mountain situated in the sea.
Wu Heng, seeing their expressions, gave a smile, “How about it? This should count as a chanical device, shouldn’t it?”
Both won were filled with astonishnt.
Shi Yali swallowed hard, “Is this also an exhibit?”
“What exhibit, this is our little island’s escort ship, safeguarding the security of our waters,” Wu Heng replied.
“This is too extravagant! You’ve co up with sothing like this,” Shi Yali exclaid.
Xi Ligui chid in, “Just to win over us?”
Wu Heng rolled his eyes at the two won who had not seen much of the world and said, “By the way, to win over you.”
“Is this made of iron?” Xi Ligui asked.
“Hmm!”
“Why can it float on the sea?” Shi Yali continued.
