Chapter 347: Chapter 288, how did you know?

Cabin.

The sa people leaving on the ship, all cramd into the air-tight cabin, the air thick with the stench of sweat and peculiar odors.

In a corner, a Half-Spider Man wearing a loose cloak was incessantly rubbing his hands.

His eyes fixed on the cabin door.

Whenever soone entered or exited, he would scan them twice to confirm whether they were from the association or not.

He had made all the necessary preparations the previous night but still failed to kill the target.

He didn’t seek out his employer either, instead, he contacted the first ship leaving the island, intending to escape directly.

“They couldn’t possibly trace it back to . As long as the ship leaves here, I’ll be safe. Just wait, don’t panic,” he reassured himself.

The Half-Spider Man unscrewed his water flask and took a sip.

Calm himself down, so as not to be overly anxious.

Suddenly, several spiders crawled out through the gaps in the wooden planks above.

They hissed softly.

The man drinking water suddenly changed expression.

Had the Vice-executive arrived?

He had actually found this place.

“Impossible, how could he know it was ? How could he know I am on this ship?”

The Half-Spider Man’s pupils dilated, horror and bewildernt rising in his heart. How could they have tracked him down so quickly?

Tucking his hair back under his hood and using a scarf to cover his mouth and nose, he made for the door.

He needed to leave this place quickly.

But as he approached the cabin door.

The door banged open with a loud noise.

Several figures blocked the way out.

The Half-Spider Man’s heart clenched, and he quickly stepped back, retreating into the crowd.

Wu Heng swept his gaze across the room.

He saw the Half-Spider Man hiding behind the crowd.

The Half-Spider Man stepped backward, without uttering a word.

With a single gesture, a dense swarm of spiders surged out from the gaps in the planks, filling the cabin.

As the spiders appeared.

The other people in the cabin imdiately began to panic.

“Ahh! So many spiders.”

“Spiders, damn it, why are there so many?”

“They’re poisonous, be careful to avoid them.”

“Don’t block the way, move forward, let’s get out of here, do it quickly!”

The crowd began to congregate towards the doorway.

The scene turned noisy and chaotic.

The Half-Spider Man still stood at the back, a pair of icy, vigilant eyes peering from under his hood, waiting to see what he would do.

The cabin was now in chaos.

If the other party made way, he would rush out with them.

If they didn’t make way, even better, the crowd would riot.

His chance of escaping would be even greater.

Would the association dare to kill all the people here?

Wu Heng glanced at the Half-Spider Man in the distance, reading his intent from his eyes.

Reaching out, he grasped the ‘Spine Staff’ in his hand and shouted to the oncoming people, “Everyone, look at !”

The congested crowd looked up towards him.

Wu Heng pointed downwards and commanded, “Deep Sleep!”

Whoosh~!

The disordered crowd instantly collapsed in droves.

And at the mont when space cleared as people fell, Wu Heng instantly pulled out his gun and pulled the trigger towards the front.

Bang bang bang~!

The gunshots exploded.

The Half-Spider Man dived to the side, evading the bullet fire.

Snorting coldly, he made a ‘hiss’ sound from his mouth.

The swarm of spiders overhead began converging from above, forming a black cloud that rushed towards Wu Heng’s location.

Wu Heng beckoned, and a swath of bedclothes flew up, enveloping the swarm of oncoming spiders, throwing them to the ground, where they writhed incessantly.

Skull Crusher, wielding his Warhamr, charged forward, smashing directly towards the spot where the Half-Spider Man was dodging.

The Half-Spider Man fled again, and behind him ca a loud crash as the wooden bed was shattered by the Warhamr.

Wu Heng’s gaze continuously tracked his target, his bullets firing non-stop.

Behind, Moya directed those who weren’t put to sleep to exit the cabin from one side, while simultaneously instructing her attendants to drag the sleeping people outside.

She hadn’t expected Wu Heng to act so decisively.

Once the crowd had fallen, he imdiately began attacking.

The battle continued.

The Half-Spider Man, dodging again, tried to circle around the figure wielding the Warhamr to attack the one behind.

But just as he moved.

A bedsheet swooped down overhead, obstructing his vision.

At the sa ti, Bang bang bang~, the piercing sound of gunshots rang out once more.

Bullets penetrated the bedsheet, striking the Half-Spider Man’s body.

The Half-Spider Man’s body staggered backward with the impact of the shots, falling seated to the ground.

He reached out to touch his wound.

His fingertips were sared with a lot of blood.

Seeing the figure with the Warhamr charging again, his body shuddered, then suddenly expanded, transforming into a grey-furred spider the size of a calf.

The spider kicked forcefully with its legs, springing up and clinging inverted to the ceiling.

His gaze fell upon the Vice-executive.

Phwoosh~!

The bloated belly undulated ceaselessly, and the next second, a stream of green acidic liquid spewed forth.

Wu Heng made another move, and two bed planks flew up.

They blocked the acid, which corroded through them completely.

The giant spider scurried forward along the ceiling at a rapid pace, like a mad bull.

Wu Heng flipped his palm and switched to a heavy machine gun, cradling it in his arms.

He pulled the trigger.

Bang bang bang~!

Bullets blasted holes into the spider’s body, causing its entire fra to fall from the ceiling and slam onto the ground.

Skull Crusher hurried forward, his warhamr descending.

There was a thunderous crash.

The spider’s chest cavity collapsed, and various fluids splashed everywhere.

The body then slumped down limply.

“Can you ‘Communicate with the dead’ in spider form?” Wu Heng inquired.

The sowhat dazed Assistant Steward imdiately recovered and said, “Yes, Half-Spider n are intelligent beings, not insects.”

Moya was still sowhat shocked by Wu Heng’s performance.

A Vice-executive transferred from an inland town had shown such formidable combat prowess.

Throughout the battle, the Half-Spider Man had been completely suppressed.

Skeleton attendants, magic, and that strange contraption.

The ‘Half-Spider Man’ had no chance to fight back at all.

A Necromancer, a new combat school?

This was the first ti she’d heard of it.

“Does it speak human language? I an, will I understand what is said?” Wu Heng pressed on with another question.

“You can understand it.” Moya glanced at the body. “Are you going to ‘Wenshi’?”

“I don’t recognize this Half-Spider Man; there must be soone else behind the scenes,” Wu Heng said without going into detail.

He imdiately cast “Communicate with the dead,” and the upturned spider abruptly sprang up.

Its murky spider eyes looked this way.

Wu Heng asked directly, “Why did you try to kill ?”

The spider spoke, its tone a bit odd, “I’m in desperate need of money. Soone paid to kill you.”

As expected, soone had paid to have him killed.

Wu Heng continued, “Who hired you to kill ?”

The spider answered, “All I know is that his na is Bravoa.”

Wu Heng frowned in recollection but couldn’t find any mory of this person.

However, he wasn’t sure if he knew him or not.

For him, the nas of people in this world were hard to rember; he might not recognize soone by na, but he could potentially recognize them by sight.

“Where can I find him?”

“At port number three, in the cargo hold of a freighter.”

“Describe what he looks like.”

The spider paused for a mont before answering, “Human, around 30 years old, with golden hair, one of his feet is la, probably a prosthetic.”

One last question.

Wu Heng thought for a mont before asking again, “Was there anyone else involved in last night’s operation?”

“No more!”

After answering, the body slumped back to the ground.

Wu Heng left with the skeleton attendant, heading straight outside.

The elf Assistant spoke again, “Aren’t you going to wait for the other squads to arrive?”

“Miss Moya, please wait here for a while. I’m afraid if I’m late, soone might tip off the other side.”

“There could be danger there,” the elf Assistant cautioned once more.

“Likely not, if he had the ability to kill , he wouldn’t bother going through the trouble of hiring this Half-Spider Man.”

The elf Assistant wanted to offer further advice, but Wu Heng had already walked out.

After waiting for a while, a flurry of footsteps resounded.

mbers from four squads rushed down.

“Miss Moya! Is the fight over?”

Moya nodded, “The fight is over. Leave soone to watch the bodies and help those caught in ‘Deep Sleep.’ The rest, follow to port number three.”

“Yes!”

At port number three, in the cargo hold of the freighter.

Wu Heng descended and, seeing the figure standing in the dark corner, raised an eyebrow.

He hadn’t been able to identify who it was when the Half-Spider Man described him.

Now that he saw him, he recognized him.

From the incident involving the kidnapping of a young girl.

Marek was hosting a party on board the ship, a man with slightly curly hair, clean-cut appearance.

The reason he paid more attention to him was that Wu Heng, through Glenda’s perspective, had seen so subtle interactions between this man and ‘Marek’s’ wife.

Bravoa saw Wu Heng coming down with his group.

He suddenly stood up from his seat, his face a mix of fear and disbelief.

He drew the longsword at his waist, then placed it back down, and said, “Did that Half-Spider Man betray ? I knew it wouldn’t dare to kill you.”

“You already escaped, why co back to trouble ?” Wu Heng asked while looking at him.

“You killed my woman, my lover! I must avenge her,” Bravoa shouted angrily.

“Wasn’t she Marek’s woman? How did she beco your lover?”

The man’s expression froze.

“How could you know that?”
