Chapter 333: Chapter 276: The Woman in Amber

After plundering the loot from the pirate leader,

Wu Heng called out and headed straight for the pirate ship at the harbor.

At the harbor, there were three pirate ships docked, along with a slightly smaller rchant vessel.

Wu Heng stood on the shore and glanced at the several ships in the distance.

With a thought, he released the ghost ‘Glenda.’

Glenda circled in the air above before flying down and asked, “Did you fight with pirates?”

“How do you know they are pirates?” Wu Heng curiously asked.

“There’s a pirate flag on the ship,” Glenda replied.

Ghosts possess dark vision and are unaffected at night.

“Yes, it was indeed a pirate group, and now they are all dead,” Wu Heng said, then continued, “Over there are three pirate ships; see which one has good stuff so we can take it with us later.”

“Okay!” Glenda agreed with a shout, diving directly into the pirate ship.

Wu Heng didn’t stop either and boarded the frontmost one.

Pirate ships indeed had their own style.

The hull was painted with exaggerated patterns, surrounded by fences, decorated with various styles of shields.

The waves rocked the ship, causing the shields to clatter against the hull.

Before Wu Heng had a chance to look around,

Glenda flew back directly.

She said, “Only one ship has a lot of goods and money in it; the other two are mainly just cabins, with so weapons and equipnt, nothing valuable.”

Only one ship is loaded with goods?

Weren’t they afraid it would sink, leaving them with nothing?

“Take there.”

“This way!”

Glenda led him off the ship they were on and boarded another.

They made their way down to the bilge.

Arriving in front of a door tightly locked with iron chains.

“There are no traps, right?” Wu Heng asked.

“None!”

Wu Heng took a step back, “Open it!”

Blood Axe stepped forward, and his battle axe ca swinging down.

Dang~!

An ear-shattering collision sounded, and the iron chain broke off, falling to the ground.

Wu Heng pushed the door open, and it was pitch black inside.

He cast the Dancing Light Skill in front, the ring of light landing in the center on a barrel, gradually illuminating the surroundings.

This was a storage room.

There were stacks of cloth and herbs on both sides, and in the middle, there were various kinds of gold and silverware, sculptures, and paintings.

They must have all been plundered.

Pirates wouldn’t normally have an interest in sculptures and art pieces, given their level of refinent.

Wu Heng walked in and glanced inside the barrel.

The upright barrel had no lid and was filled to the brim with shining silver coins that dazzled in the light.

“No need to look further, these several barrels all contain silver coins, and there’s a chest over there with gold coins and gems,” Glenda said softly, floating in the middle.

Wu Heng turned around, “There goes the anticipation.”

“What anticipation?”

“The anticipation of opening a blind box.”

“I don’t understand what you are talking about. I’m going to check the rchant ship.”

Wu Heng nodded, and Glenda passed through the wall to leave.

This must be the pirates’ storage room.

He had thought that gold and silver would be carried in space rings, but the pirate captain hadn’t done so.

Instead, it was locked up here.

Wu Heng collected all the gold and silver coins into his space ring, but there were too many other goods, and they wouldn’t fit.

He stood there, thinking for a mont, then walked back to the deck.

He called out toward the water below, “Shark Teeth!”

Whalala~!

A figure erged from the water, and Shark Teeth looked up.

Shark Teeth had not participated in the previous battle, and his only job had been to push the boat along.

“Co up!”

Shark Teeth walked out of the sea and stepped onto the deck.

Wu Heng said, “This ship is ours now, take it out and hide. I’ll co to fetch you tomorrow.”

Shark Teeth didn’t say much and went straight into the control room.

He intended to sail the ship away imdiately.

“Wait, I’ll disembark first.”

Wu Heng got off the ship with two skeletons, and the pirate ship slowly left the pier, disappearing into the night.

This operation.

The pirate ship was deed a spoil of war.

But the association’s process was still slow and strict, and there were others like ‘Xi Ligui’ to consider.

Claiming a ship for himself wasn’t a bad deal.

After all, he had contributed the most that evening.

At that mont, Glenda flew back again, even faster than before.

Hovering in mid-air, she pointed at the rchant fleet’s ships and asked, “Why is there a woman up there?”

“A woman? A pirate?” Wu Heng asked in return.

In this world, won were professionals as well, which ant it was common to see won in battle.

Whether pirates or bandit robbers, there were many won.

There were even quite a few female leaders.

“No, it’s an elf woman, sealed inside amber,” Glenda explained.

Shanaela?

Hearing Glenda’s description, Wu Heng’s first thought was the rescue target ‘Shanaela’.

The information provided by the association was of an Elf woman, and from what he learned from the pirates, she had sealed herself in stone.

Which was very similar to what Glenda described.

“Do you know her?” Glenda asked, seeing his reaction.

“A person the association asked to rescue, she resembles the one you described,” Wu Heng briefly explained, then continued, “Let’s go, let’s take a look.”

The consortium’s ship looked even more attractive.

But its body was full of arrows, and grappling hooks still hung on the railings.

Wu Heng followed into the cabin.

The interior was still luxurious, more like a private yacht.

However, now all the decorative items had been cleared out, and one could still see where paintings and ornants used to hang.

Glenda led Wu Heng to a cabin door.

After pushing the door open, Wu Heng’s eyes widened noticeably.

From the ceiling, the Illuminating Stone cast a gentle light.

Beneath the light, a yellow, semi-translucent piece of amber took up half the room.

Inside the amber was a graceful, beautiful elf woman.

Wu Heng’s eyes widened, sowhat surprised at the scene before him.

Seeing it in person was more impactful than Glenda’s description.

Ensuring there was no danger,

Wu Heng cast a “Dancing Light Skill” at the Illuminating Stone.

The room beca even brighter,

and the figure within the amber beca clearer.

Her gray-blue hair was shoulder-length, her Elf Race’s pointed ears, her skin as fair as jade, and her features were stunningly beautiful.

Over a sky-blue long dress, she wore a leather armor adorned with exquisite patterns.

Different from the feeling that Vice-executive Xi Ligui gave off,

the elf woman in front of him looked more like a matron, like a noble and graceful imperial concubine from a palace.

Now, Wu Heng also understood why the pirates had left the amber here.

It was so huge that moving it outside was clearly not possible,

unless they dismantled the ship.

Wu Heng touched the amber and gave it a couple of ‘thud thud’ knocks.

The entire surface of the amber was extrely hard.

“This can’t, have suffocated her, right?”

Wu Heng muttered to himself softly.

And as he spoke,

the woman’s eyelashes in the amber fluttered slightly.
