The Great Elder’s roar was filled with anger, like a thunderclap echoing in the dark dungeon.

However, the first to be terrified was not Wu Heng, who was being accused, but the Wood Elf Queen Galanshill who was accompanying him.

Her heart instantly leaped to her throat, her face turning pale.

The person before her was soone who had personally admitted to defeating the god of the Church Court!

The majesty of a god is unfathomable, not to be blasphed against lightly.

Bonifacius’s reckless roar might very well provoke the other’s anger.

Especially since Wu Heng had just slain the Archbishop, undeniably binding the Wood Elves once again to his chariot, leaving no room for retreat.

To provoke him at this mont would only push the tribe into a more dangerous position.

In fact, thinking about it.

On the surface, the Wood Elves indeed suffered the Church Court’s wrath due to Wu Heng’s prior departure, paying a heavy price.

But the Queen knew all too well that from the mont they chose to collaborate with Wu Heng, the Wood Elves were placing a bold bet.

A bet that Wu Heng could lead the tribe to a stronger future.

Since it was a gamble, naturally they must bear the corresponding risks. There is no comrce only with wins; without risks, why would such a great opportunity fall to the Wood Elves?

Before Wu Heng could speak.

The Queen had already taken the lead, sternly reprimanding, "Bonifacius! Mind your status and words! Lord Wu Heng has co here out of concern for our tribe’s plight and your safety. How can you treat our benefactor with such an attitude? With such a loss of composure, how can you still hold the position of the Great Elder!"

Her voice carried unprecedented severity and urgency.

Bonifacius was taken aback by the Queen’s scolding, his murky eyes filled with confusion and astonishnt.

For a mont, he couldn’t understand why the Queen reacted so fiercely, even with evident protection and... fear?

Before he could think further, the Queen took a deep breath, her tone slightly softened, and clearly reminded him, "Lord Wu Heng has surpassed mortal barriers and ascended to divinity! This return is to help our Wood Elves overco a crisis; you must not act rudely again!"

"A-ascended to a god?" Bonifacius’s pupils suddenly contracted, and the anger on his face was instantly replaced by shock and disbelief.

He stood frozen, as if stunned by the news, only snapping back to reality after several seconds.

When he looked at Wu Heng again, he imdiately knelt on the ground, his voice trembling, "It was my ignorance and folly that offended the divine might! Please, my god, forgive ; forgive my earlier recklessness and rudeness!"

This Great Elder is truly pragmatic!

Knowing that he had beco a god, he imdiately changed his attitude.

Wu Heng glanced at him indifferently, not intending to hold it against him, and waved his hand casually, saying, "Release him first."

Upon hearing this, the Queen felt slightly relieved and imdiately went forward herself, taking out a secret key to open the dungeon.

Then she took out several high-grade Healing Potions, administering them to the Great Elder, whose condition improved significantly.

"Let’s go, we’ll talk outside." Wu Heng turned first and walked towards the outside of the cell.

With his injuries better, Bonifacius’s mind beca agile again, and he hurriedly asked, "My god, Her Majesty the Queen, the other elders are also imprisoned here, should I...?"

"Release them all." Wu Heng responded without turning his head, in a calm tone.

"Yes! Thank you, my lord!" Bonifacius, invigorated, imdiately set to work, finding the corresponding keys from a bunch and quickly opening the doors of the other cells, rescuing the other elders who were also battered and bewildered.

Upon their release, the elders, seeing the Queen present and catching the signals from Bonifacius, though unclear of the situation, could roughly guess that circumstances had changed. None dared to speak much, rely following silently, moving towards the cell exit with complex emotions.

...

In the Royal Palace eting room, the heavy wooden door quietly closed, shutting out the external disturbances.

The room was filled with the elegant aroma of ancient wood and clear tea.

Wu Heng, the Wood Elf Queen Galanshill, and the freshly washed yet still haggard Great Elder Bonifacius sat around a round conference table.

After silently serving tea and snacks, the Attendant bowed out.

After a brief silence, the Queen placed her hands clasped on the table, her erald-like eyes looking at Wu Heng, "My lord, what can the Wood Elf tribe do for you now?"

Her stance was very humble, yet her mind was clear.

The fate of the Wood Elves was once again tightly bound with Wu Heng, flourishing or perishing as one.

If they fail again this ti, she and the Elder’s Council would certainly not survive, and the Wood Elves might be swallowed by the Church Court, losing all their independence and heritage.

Wu Heng admired her directness and reciprocated in kind, "The Spirit Awakening Sect will launch a Holy War, targeting the new Holy Hall to completely uproot the Church Court’s foundation in this world. My main force is the undead army, unafraid of casualties, yet I need individuals familiar with the routes and for so auxiliary tasks, for which we need the full cooperation of your Wood Elves."

"Holy War! Targeting the new Holy Hall... ."

The Queen and the Great Elder both inhaled sharply, their eyes instantly becoming incredibly solemn.

They had anticipated that Wu Heng would bring a challenging task, but had not expected it to be a plan directly aid at the god’s foundation!

The eting room descended into a long silence.

After a long while, the Great Elder Bonifacius spoke with difficulty, "That... god of the Church Court... ."

"I killed one of his avatars." Wu Heng took a sip of tea, "In the short term, he cannot directly intervene here, this is our best opportunity. As long as we uproot his faith anchor in this plane, he will find it difficult to descend again."
