Dusk gradually deepened, but the lights in the hall remained bright.

Philippa and others were still heatedly discussing the parchnt that suddenly appeared in the ga. Was it a hidden plot, or had they missed so clue?

anwhile, Wu Heng and Lilith exchanged silent glances, their brows furrowed.

A mont ago, the two were talking about the global virus and Divine Spirits, when the Ghost on the board suddenly said sothing that seed intended for them.

"It... can hear us talking?" Lilith’s voice carried a hint of disbelief.

This Special Item had never shown any peculiar traits in the hands of the Dwarf Hero, but when it reached Wu Heng, it always exhibited sothing different.

"I’m afraid it can. I’ve always thought this thing wasn’t simple," Wu Heng said gravely.

"What do we do next?"

Wu Heng strode towards the disappearing Ghost host, staring at it, he said, "Are you talking to ? What kind of ’sincerity’ do you need? Just say it directly!"

The Ghost did not respond, and disappeared like smoke.

The others showed a slight tinge of doubt in their eyes, while Wu Heng relayed his and Lilith’s speculation.

Philippa suddenly slapped the table, "I knew it was intentional! When it called us ’freeloaders’, I just felt sothing was off!"

If this Ghost truly had an independent consciousness, or the Special Item itself had so kind of "thought," then everything made sense.

Viola said softy, "Then what exactly does it an by ’sincerity’?"

Lilith analyzed and said, "It should be sothing it needs!"

Shanaela appeared troubled, "But what could a Special Item need? Now that we are here, it’s not like when we were on Gold and Silver Island, where resources were abundant... Even if we wanted to offer sothing, there’s no place to buy it."

If it were in the Otherworld, they might roam around to inquire, or spend money to buy certain things.

With the wealth of Gold and Silver Island, any strange and rare items could be bought.

But in the current environnt, even if they knew what a Special Item needed, there’s no place to get it, unless it only needed so common, ordinary items.

But how could a Special Item possibly need ordinary items!

The Maid brought snacks, and the heroes sat around to discuss, for a mont, there was silence.

Suddenly, a flash flicked through Wu Heng’s eyes, "I am not quite sure what the Special Item needs, but I’m very clear about what a Ghost needs..."

The others looked over.

Wu Heng continued, "Ghosts aren’t interested in external things; they often need to elevate themselves, and the way they can do this is by consuming other Ghosts."

Everyone was instantly awakened to this fact.

"Do you have any more Ghosts?" Lilith asked.

"Uh... no." Wu Heng shook his head, then said, "But I know where to get so. Tomorrow, I’ll go out for a bit, and in the evening, we can play the ga together and see if it works."

"That could work! Let’s not get our hopes too high; it might not be what we think." Lilith spoke calmly.

So as not to feel disappointed if it’s not as they guessed in the end.

Wu Heng smiled, "It’s just a try, it won’t cost us anything."

They talked late into the night.

Then each went back to their room to rest.

...

Wu Heng was in his bedroom.

He was still pondering over the Special Item chessboard.

The Dwarf Hero had turned this Special Item over to the association, and the association awarded it as a First-Class rit to him.

The Dwarf Leader must have verified the Special Item upon returning, found out it truly had problems, and then handed it over.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t go back now; otherwise, he could ask the Dwarf Leader.

Is this thing alive or not?

But even if it is alive, it can be seen that it is restricted by the rules of the Special Item, only able to convey information via the ga, having rules is also a good thing.

It’s worth a try, no major deal.

Knock knock knock~!

While he was thinking, there was a knock on the door.

"Co in."

The door was pushed open, and Viola ca in.

Her long brown hair was slightly tousled, and she wore a plain-colored long dress, looking slightly anxious under the light.

"Sir...," Viola hesitated for a mont, then spoke softly, "I discussed with Lady Shanaira... she asked to accompany you tonight."

Her deanor at this mont was more like a shy young woman.

Unlike the fierce Cult Witch they had seen before.

In the Island Lord’s Mansion, she was the only one who hadn’t gotten closer to Wu Heng.

Shanaela had also ntioned that she improved quickly and was eager to try anything new from different races.

Afraid that her sexual orientation might beco an issue, having more people around, filling her ti, she wouldn’t try other orientations.

Wu Heng’s gaze lingered on her for a mont, then he smiled slightly and gestured, "Co here."

Viola stepped closer, and Wu Heng gently lifted her skirt; she obeyed, letting the long dress fall to the ground.

The light outlined her slender figure; Wu Heng’s fingertips brushed over her smooth skin, admiring for a mont, then gently patted her waist, indicating for her to hold the edge of the bed.

Viola bent over to support herself, Wu Heng tightened his grip on her waist from behind.

...

The next day, Wu Heng roared down the road, riding a motorcycle.

The motorcycle’s roar shattered the deathly silence of the ruined city.

After passing through several deserted alleys, the roar of Zombies ca from afar, and the dark wave of corpses were drawn by the engine’s sound, surging like a tide.

Wu Heng supported himself on one foot on the motorcycle as countless drops of water in the air instantly gathered; following his pointed fingertips, they suddenly shot out!

Shoo shoo shoo~!

The water droplets rained down with great speed, piercing through the horde of Zombies, the front line of Zombies fell in droves, but those at the back continued without fear.

Dust filled the air, enveloping the long street.

In the tide of corpses, so tall, mutated figures attempted to break through, only to be shredded into pieces by the sharp threads ford from the water flow.
