Sothing happened to Wu Heng!

Lilith’s fingers tightened around the teacup abruptly, and only when the porcelain cup threatened to crack with a ’crackling’ sound did she slightly ease her grip.

"Where did you get this information?" Lilith’s voice remained calm.

Hadara said, "Claudio sent a letter from the Holy Hall, which ntioned that the Pope personally admitted that the three Holy Seats of the Court took action against Wu Heng..."

Following this, he recited the contents of the letter word for word.

So, the court’s previous compensation and forbearance were rely for today’s plan.

The court really doesn’t suffer any losses, do they?

"I’m on Gold and Silver Island right now." Lilith took a deep breath and continued, "Nothing unusual seems to have happened here, I’ll confirm and get back to you."

Hadara was silent for two seconds, then seriously said, "If... sothing really happens to Wu Heng, you must imdiately take over Gold and Silver Island."

Take over Gold and Silver Island!

Lilith narrowed her eyes slightly.

Gold and Silver Island is like a treasure trove right now.

If sothing really happened to Wu Heng, the association plans to continue managing here.

With the wealth that can be created here, it’s normal for the association to be tempted.

"I understand." Lilith replied and then hung up the call.

Lilith sat on the chair, her fingertips unconsciously tapping the armrest.

Previously, she had a sense that there was still so issue between the Court and Wu Heng, since the Court was too silent, which was uncharacteristic.

On Wu Heng’s side, every call also subtly inquired about the religious leader’s movents.

In hindsight, her intuition was correct.

Neither side was as straightforward as they appeared.

The Pope of the court was so convinced that Wu Heng would definitely die at their hands.

Looks like they were fully prepared.

Dialed Wu Heng’s number, but no one answered.

Lilith’s nails involuntarily scratched a few white marks on the sofa.

Sothing’s wrong...

Lilith suddenly thought of another way to verify.

Quickly switched to another number and dialed it directly.

Beep beep~!

"Lilith Leader!" Mini’s voice ca from the phone, with a cheerful tone.

Lilith raised an eyebrow, the imnse pressure in her heart suddenly eased a lot.

The maid is unaffected, which ans Wu Heng is temporarily unhard.

She cleared her throat slightly and asked calmly, "Has Wu Heng returned?"

"Not yet." Mini continued, "When the master returns, I’ll have him call you back imdiately."

Lilith softly ’hmm’d, then asked, "Is there any problem at the Island Lord’s Mansion?"

Mini seed to think for a mont, then said, "No problem, Leader. Have you discovered anything?"

"It’s nothing! I’m just asking casually. Wu Heng’s side is fine, right?" Lilith continued to probe.

Mini replied, "Seems like nothing. A few days ago, he sent a ssage that he’s returning to Gold and Silver Island. Leader, you don’t need to worry."

"Have him see when he returns." Lilith repeated once more.

"Alright!"

After hanging up, Lilith exhaled, her shoulders not as tense anymore.

Compared to other association leaders, she understands Gold and Silver Island better.

Mini being fine and no changes in the Island Lord’s Mansion indicate that Wu Heng is not in any life-threatening situation.

If Wu Heng were dead, the maids at the Island Lord’s Mansion wouldn’t have survived either.

"So where does the Court’s confidence co from?" Lilith murmured.

After confirming that Wu Heng was fine, Lilith reevaluated the entire tiline of events.

Since the Court dared to formally notify the association, they must have been thoroughly prepared.

Wu Heng recently went to Yeko Kingdom, so the action must have taken place there.

But Mini’s reaction proves he’s at least alive, maybe even already escaped.

Either the plan wasn’t executed, or the person wasn’t detained.

Picked up the radio again and said, "Where is Hadara?"

"How are things?" Hadara’s voice ca imdiately, clearly waiting by the radio.

"Can’t reach Wu Heng, but everything on Gold and Silver Island is as usual." Lilith’s tone was calm, "It seems the Court’s plans haven’t succeeded."

"Could it be... the person is under control?" Hadara tested.

"The exact details are unclear, but the information I have suggests that Wu Heng is fine." Lilith replied.

Hadara pondered for a mont, his voice low, "When he returns, tell him not to act rashly. The association will strive to handle this conflict."

Lilith’s eyes flickered as she asked, "Do you think this will really make both sides stop?"

From the other end of the radio, Hadara’s breathing noticeably paused, "We can’t let them just fight it out, can we? Otherwise, the situation will only get ssier."

Lilith didn’t say much, knowing this matter is indeed difficult to handle.

The Court, over the years, has always been domineering and aggressive, while Wu Heng is sharp and unwilling to yield.

Both sides are already at daggers drawn.

Unless one side falls completely, it’s hard to stop this conflict.

Hadara understands this too, but... has yet to find a better solution than diation.

"I’ll stay on Gold and Silver Island." Lilith finally said calmly, "But in the end, it still depends on Wu Heng’s attitude when he returns."

"Alright! Keep in touch if there’s anything." Hadara said and ended the communication.

Lilith looked out the window, the night as dark as ink.

...

A few days later.

The Phantom Train arrived at Gold and Silver Island once again.

Wu Heng stepped off the train, with ghosts floating out of their bodies.

"Ho is still the best..." Xiao Xiao was the first to cheer.

Bella followed beside, "We’ve only been gone a few days, and it already feels like ho is better!"

"The scenery here is so beautiful." Xiao Xiao looked towards the Lady, "Right! Aunt."
